We stay at Hotel Tudanca Miranda couple of times a year as a half-way stop on our drive down to Portugal from northern France as it has everything we need for a comfortable and convenient overnight stay. It's in a good location for our route, and just a short walk over the river from the old town. The staff are friendly, rooms are comfortable and the food in the restaurant is always good.

It's only a minor complaint - the buffet-style breakfast doesn't have any cereals, which we'd prefer, but there's still plenty of toast, pastries and coffee.

Easy location to find and plenty parking either in front of the hotel or the unpacked car park down the hill (it is fenced). Nice spacious rooms which allowed dogs. The staff were very accommodating and switched my sister’s room to one for anyone with limited mobility. That meant she had a walk in shower instead of showering in a bath, and they was much appreciated. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms cost (almost too warm), and they had lovely views to the river and a small balcony to walk out onto. Breakfast was continental and adequate for us. We liked that the restaurant was adjacent to the hotel - surprisingly busy for early December, but this hotel has many travellers on business it would seem, as well as tourists.

The hotel is a little tired decor wise, but the friendly and helpful staff as well as the clean and comfortable rooms are more important.

The Hotel is very well located for anyone driving from Portugal to the ferry ports of northern Spain. A very big multi storey building, with a basement restaurant serving simple wholesome meals at a very reasonable price. For those with a bit more energy, there are various restaurants within a 10 / 15 minute walk, which looked very nice. Our room on the 5th floor was very comfortable, and we were surprised to find we had an adjoining sitting room with a settee and easy chair, desk and second TV. A very pleasant addition, and it is a shame we were only staying there for one night as we were unable to fully enjoy the extra space.

This was our 6th time at this hotel .We stayed here 4 weeks previous on way to the coast (Calpe) ,this was the return trip, we liked this hotel for location. Very busy this time ,smaller room then usual ,but still good view from balcony .Comfortable beds with memory foam pillow, this room had bath with shower above and a bidet. Small fridge . Good bar with small bar menu. This time we did not use restaurant but it is always lovely food for a great price.

Shower head just poured out no spray , no bottled water this time. Smaller room. But I can live with it.

We have booked this hotel several times. It is next to the highway so handy when doing long trips. The size of the room, the heating, and the bed's confort. Stuff was friendly. The cafeteria is next to the hotel; access directly from the hotel is possible.

The restaurant is not open for early dinners like in other European countries, but it is possible to eat a bite in the cafeteria.

Perfect if you’re travelling with your dog. The staff was super nice and we didn’t have to pay extra for parking or for our doggie. The rooms are clean and spacious with a beautiful view.

The room was extremely hot. Even though the heating units turned off automatically at 11.30pm, they turned on quite early in the morning again and it wasn’t possible to adjust them manually.

We normally try to stay here on the way up to the Channel ports. It is a very convenient location. The room is fine - clean and comfortable. Bottles of water and chocolates were provided , which was nice Very good value. Nice Cafe / Bar Very reasonable prices - a glass of wine was only Euro 1.60 Free Parking Ideal for overnight to/from Spain

For us, this hotel is a good stop prior to the last 1hr drive to Bilbao. It's convenient and we had 2 small dogs and the hotel had no issues with that. Efficient and friendly staff.

The location is very industrial, but I guess all of Miranda is like that. As we had the dogs, we had to sit outside to eat. Not an issue with the weather we had, but if wet it would have been a different story. I thought the beds were a bit narrow. Comfy though.

Good sized room on upper floor river view. Good wifi connection. Travelling with a dog and easy access to nice riverside walk.

Dog was not allowed into restaurant or breakfast room even though very quiet. Outside area was not nice and no shelter, therefore we were unable to have breakfast or dinner at the hotel

The hotel is lovely. The room is spacious and clean with a view of the river. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely. The set menu for dinner was lovely and amazing value for money.

The hotel is being refurbished so the communal areas were a bit rough but that didn't take anything away from the lovely hotel. I didn't like the balcony especially on the high floor as the wall isnt that high. I would definitely stay again but request a low floor.
