Great location and a good room with comfortable beds and a great shower. The room was facing the square so the view was fantastic. Juan David on reception was great too, and helped us with snacks and beers when the bar was closed and the restaurant was fully booked.
We were not advised as residents to book the restaurant and as a result the first sitting was fully booked when we went down for dinner meaning we could only eat at 9pm. Restaurant manager was rude and unhelpful.

The room had a spectacular view onto the monastery and wider vista (although I have seen that some people have not been so lucky and have instead faced the cliff face). Staying so close allows you to experience the monastery in the late evening before it closes without the crowds. Also, we were able to enjoy the sunrise with a short walk up to Michael's Cross which I would thoroughly recommend. Whilst there is no parking directly adjacent to the hotel, you can use the temporary space to drop your bags and then park for 14euros nearby.
Whilst the restaurant's cavern-like interior was interesting, the food was average and overpriced.

The location on the mountain is the best. You receive many perks by spending the night on Monserrat. For example, you can attend the choir concert at 1:00 as well as Vespers in the evening. You can see the Black Virgin without an additional ticket. These are perks for those spending the night at Monseratt. Daytime visitors have to seek these tickets out and they are in short supply. Contrary to what I have read, there is LOTS TO DO on Monserrat. Of course, it is faith-based, but there is lots of hiking available. The art museum was EXCEPTIONAL as was the audio-visual area. (They need a new name for that venue because it doesn't cover the interesting displays.) I was not initially able to rent a room at this hotel. Many tours use the hotel so large amounts of rooms are blocked off early. I made a reservation with a second choice but a couple of days early I was able to see that there had been a cancelation and grabbed the room in time to cancel my second choice. If you want to stay here book early, and keep trying if you are unsuccessful.
We happened to be at Monserrat when it was unusually hot. There was no air conditioning in the rooms, so during the day, it was warm. However, there are good shades to help keep the room cool, and the nighttime was glorious. The windows were opened all the way and it was very refreshing.

Great location and the staff is very helpful.
Bathroom too small and drains don't work well. Hotel restaurant staff snobbish, menu limited and too expensive. No other options to eat around except snacks and sandwiches. Better to stay at the apartment offered by the same hotel as it is spacious and comes with a kitchen

The hotel was beautiful and clean, amazing location and helpful, friendly staff. We were able to store our bags at the hotel after checkout which was very helpful.
We visited during the summer and, because the hotel does not have air conditioning or even fans, our room was extremely hot all night. Despite us opening the window for breeze, it was very difficult to sleep due to the heat. A fan in the room would have made a big difference.

In the heart of Montserrat. We stayed in November, so, tourist season is low and it was perfect. We were upgraded to view of the Basillica and the mountains. Sunrise was incredible. Restaurant was superb offering a three course meal all for under 30 euro. It's an absolutely perfect hub for a one night or many night stay. We are runner's, so, each day in the mountains. But we explored the Basillica (free if staying at the hotel), we got tickets for the choirs (only lasts 10/15min) but it was great to experience. You also get discount for the museum. Both my partner and I can't rave how great this place is for a long weekend.

Nothing can beat the location especially when the great masses leave around 18 hrs. The food was excellent and the restaurant staff were very friendly. Our room was in the front and we where look at the monastery and the mountain. Amazing. Despite some negative things I wouldn’t have missed this opportunity for the world.
The single bed was tiny and pillows synthetic 🥲 You have to park in the public car park but can drive up to the door to drop off the bags( if you can figure out how 🤣) There are no other options for an evening meal unless you are prepared to drive down the mountain for about 10k.

It’s a lovely hotel right by the basilica. It was comfortable and professionally run. The best part was the entrance ticket they gave for the basilica and Black Virgin visit. I went twice to each one.
I paid the tourist tax in cash but they didn’t note it, which was annoying when they tried to charge it again at check out. There was a large tour group staying at the hotel and its members were very noisy in the morning. I wish the staff had reminded them to exit quietly without shouting out names in the corridors. There was only a very expensive menu available (40+€) and the town shuts down early so grab food before everything closes. My room faced a rock. Rooms in the front had great views. Perhaps they’re more expensive but there was no indication in booking.com. If you want a great view, you’ll have to investigate that on your own.

Obviously, the location was wonderful
The dinner at the hotel was awful. The only thing good was the salad. We each ordered something different and it was not edible. I ordered the pork and it came with so much fat you could not chew it and it came with french fries and that was for €27 outrageous my wife would the fish with a green sauce. The green sauce was peas in a blender poured over the fish we told the waiter was terrible, but he didn’t seem to care.

Location, location, location! Perfect location and method to visit Montserrat! I'm super happy to made the decision to stay here over night. The hotel is essentially part of the Basilica. We arrived in the late afternoon and enjoyed the quietness so much from the evening to the next morning while the day trip tour group were not present. Can you imagine visiting the Basilica and statue of Virgin Mary alone, taking a little hike during the sunset? We even saw some deer or antelope during our hike after sunset. Definitely recommend the place for anyone visiting Montserrat.
Since it's part of the Basilica and they probably purposely want you to experience what it's like hundreds of years ago, there's no AC in the room. However, the weather at night is not bad even during July. We opened the window during the night and it's quite comfortable. So I wouldn't say I don't like this. Just note it here because maybe some people will have concern about this.
