Good location, free parking with lots of space. - easy walk to centre. Clean and comfortable - good shower. Friendly and helpful staff - very welcoming. Didn’t book breakfast in advance but this was not a problem. - very Spanish and relaxed. Pool Was fabulous - towels available from reception. - would definitely stay here again when next in the area.

Beautiful restored building with big comfortable beds and bathroom. Staff extremely friendly and it was no problem to store our bicycles inside one of the conference rooms. Swimming pool and grassy area .

There were no chairs to sit or lay at around the pool area when we were there ( September 25)

Very nice and beautiful hotel with friendly staff and good restaurant. They even arranged our bicycles a place inside, so we didn’t need to take them to a parking hall.

The hotel is further from the city center, so without a bicycle prepare to walk a little.

WiFi only worked in the hallway, unfortunately, it didn’t work in the room. Air conditioning doesn’t work in the fall, only summer apparently. This may be customary in Spain but we find it to be strange.

There wasn’t much choice of hotels in Puente Genil when I decided to stop over for a night on my travels and the price was a little more than I usually pay but, in this case, it was worth it. Hotel El Carmen is, from the time you walk through the front door, stylish and elegant. There is a car park at the front and plenty of street parking if that is full. It’s on the edge of town so a bit of a walk to restaurants & bars. However, despite the fact that there was a wedding going on when I arrived and the kitchen was very busy, they kindly offered me dinner on the terrace overlooking the swimming pool. Very helpful and friendly staff. I enjoyed my night here.

Not a great location for the town centre. Reception staff very good but little English is spoken beyond them . Not a criticism but something to be aware of

Stylish period hotel, perfect for a stay in a town that looks like it has stepped straight out of 19thC wild west. Lovely central courtyard (complete with stables!). Good breakfast.

Quite noisy at night from parties on the street outside - but that seemed to be the same across all this 'mad' town and not the fault of this particular hotel.
