Beautiful room with a wonderful little terrace, with relaxing seats. Very clean, spotless. The fridge and kettle were a welcome addition, which we did not expect. Lovely big bathroom with fab shower and facilities. Warm welcome from the host. Fabulous one-night stay! We would definitely return and stay here. We ate in a fab Italian restaurant Matias Locanda Italiana, up the street from Casa Barán.

Ideal location, immaculate, and great attention to detail. For example, even though it is a nice hotel, they still understood that pilgrims want to wash their smelly clothes and provided a drying rack that hung easily out of the window. Perfectly sized mini fridge stocked with water.

The beds were a bit firm for our personal preference. No in-room tea or coffee but ample options steps from the hotel's front door. Still a great stay and we'd do it again.

It is a super clean, beautiful old stone house, recently refurbished with all new facilities. The owners of the house were very helpful and super nice. We had a problem with our car and they have helped us resolve it during the Easter week. We are truly grateful to them and would totally recommend it to anyone considering a place in Sarria.

The welcoming host (who organised a taxi to collect us from the airport) couldn't have been more helpful. He advised us to purchase our Camino passports from the sacristy of the nearby church and that breakfast and dinner were good in the nearby tapas bar. Everything we needed for our first night on the Camino was on the doorstep of Casa Baran. We loved the beautiful decor and thorough cleanliness and the comfy beds. We found it to be quiet and tranquil.

We really enjoyed our one night stay at Casa Baran. Fabulous room, beautifully decorated and all the comforts of a four star facility! The manager was welcoming and friendly. I would highly recommend staying here and looking forward to the opportunity when we next visit Sarria.

On our first day of Camino de Santiago this place is just what we needed to prepare, very convenient location, beautiful place and attentive owner. He helped us to prepare and organize luggage transportation and Camino de Santiago passports.

Beautiful room. Everything was perfect. Wonderful porch enclosed that you could open windows and look out at beautiful garden. Chairs and table, teapot, and just rest and watch the sunset. Love it. Oldest street in Sarria.

Luis was very welcoming and hospital. He provided us with helpful information as first time pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago. Our room was clean, spacious and cozy. We plan to stay here again on our next journey. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

This is a property which consists of 4 bedrooms. It is situated in the old part of the town which is very historical and beautiful. It has been restored sympathetically and provides everything a traveller could want. The decor is simple, very tranquil and tasteful. The host ( I’m sorry I did not get his name ) was very helpful, kind and friendly, offering helpful information before being asked for it. He regularly checked that we were happy. The room was a very comfortable size with an adjoining terrace overlooking the host’s private garden and offering vistas over Sarria. In the enclosed terrace, which was spacious, there was fridge with a complimentary big bottle of water, nice touch. The bathroom, from a woman’s point of view, has been exceptionally well thought out and planned. 1. The shower was powerful and the extractor fan also, which meant the bathroom did not steam up - great 2. The heat was put on immediately when we arrived and it was very comfortable to shower almost immediately 3. A basin has been provided for washing and a frame for drying also 4. Best of all for me there was a really powerful hairdryer which is something very few high end hotels even have The beds very comfortable and the pillows, perfect. I have done several Caminos since 2006 ( Frances, Ingles, Portuguese and currently dipping in and out of the Del Norte. This accommodation is up there with the best. I have stayed in Sarria many times before always staying in the Alfonso. Casa Barán is a pleasure to stay in and I had one of the best night sleep in a long time. If you decide to stay here please treat this Casa with the respect if deserves. If I ever go to Sarria again this will be my place of choice. Great location - right on the Camino route! Spotlessly clean, spacious, comfortable accommodation. Very thoughtful hosts. We were sorry we weren’t staying longer so that we could make more use of the wonderful balcony area.
