We loved this place. We had booked a twin room with balcony. The first night we were put in a double with balcony and found the bed a bit small. There was no issue at all the next day when we asked to move. Very pleased to help! The rooms were spacious, clean and had terrific views of the River Duero and the countryside. The hotel was well positioned at the end of the small town of Toro and our balcony was a terrific sun trap. The bar/restaurant (again with brilliant views) was really good value for money. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Check-in was quick and easy and you can park free right outside the hotel.

Great view and location. Parking OK. Liked the bar in the square where no English was spoken. Just how we like it .Two handy supermarkets in easy reach where we found some good wines to bring home. Town was preparing for some big event as we left so a bit rushed to miss road closures.

Hotel reception didn't know when/if their bistro/cafe was open. We were told food would be available at 6 pm (early for Spain) so we called in, sat and watched some builders measuring up for a while and then it wasn't open for food at all. Back to the lovely bar in the square.

This hotel is very well situated to see this spectacular place and the room looked out onto the River Duero which is a breathtaking view and it is literally by the side of the Colegiate church of Santa María, one of the main architectual attractions within a minute of the town itself. The room was a good size for a couple, clean, and with modern facilities and it also has a swimming pool, a good restaurant (with a daily menu), a bar (that also serves food) and the staff were very helpful and friendly (we had to add a day to our stay which they organised very efficiently so we could remain in our superb room). There are also parking spaces in front of the hotel and nearby. The price-quality relation was extremely good.

There's nothing important to complain about. The only small point is that there wasn't a breakfast option and we thought the price of the breakfast in the hotel was rather high for what was offered.

The bed was really comfortable and bathroom ok. Very clean, and an excellent view of the River Duero.

The Halloween evening was very disappointing . We ate the food, but it wasn’t really worth 31 euros each. Only about ten people in the restaurant, no atmosphere or music and 31st of October is my husband’s birthday and he was 80! So a double disappointment there !!

Toro is a beautiful town located on a beautiful enviroment. Both rooms had stunning views, one a scenic landscape of Duero and the other was looking at the gorgeous Romanesque/gothic church. The hotel is in the historic center and is so well kept! There are paths very close from the hotel to explore the Duero river area. The town is trully stunning and full of lovely shops offering local produce. I loved their cleannig standards. It was spotless. The rooms were big and had both lovely balconies. Plus pet friendly! Staff were always ready to help with a smile. I can't recommend it enough!

We enjoyed the continental breakfast. Offering local produce, hams and cheese, fruit, cereals and bread.... Although one of us had food limitations and she couldn't eat much from what was offered. I couldn't see eggs either but I didn't enquire as I was too busy eating the lovely jamon :D

Well located at the top of the old town, next to the church with amazing views over the river and the countryside below. Slightly dated but very clean hotel with friendly staff.

We booked the hotel partly as there was a pool shown on 'Booking.com' as being open- sadly,it wasn't.

The location is excellent, set in a very quiet beautiful square ,in the lovely town of Toro, with superb elevated views over the surrounding countryside. Parking outside, we arrived on a motorcycle and they allowed us to park in the cobbled courtyard right outside the reception.

The very quiet nature of this hotel was unfortunately let down by an elderly persons 'party' , guests could easily be heard yapping in the corridors in the early hours.

I didn't book a room with the scenic view as the terrace has that. My room without a view turned out to look directly onto the church - so very luck there. The hotel is perfectly positioned and does everything that is needed.

The view from the balcony of the Espolón (Duero River) was marvelous. Also, we appreciated learning about the leader of Spain's important 18th-century scientific expedition, Alejandro Malaspina. BTW, some of their menus pay homage to Malaspina, e.g. his ship, the Atrevida, and his title, Almirante. Finally, the location of the Juan II is walkable to all the important historical sites.

Everything was good.
