Our stay in Venecia b&b was great especially after a long day walking the Camino. Carlos the owner was wonderful- showed us route back to Camino next day avoiding the town through the tunnel. Also gave mini tortilla & garlic bread free with our beer & provided us with a fabulous breakfast the next day.His attention to detail was second to none!

The bed was a little bit uncomfy & so was very flat pillow-but then we both have bad backs so maybe it was just us aching from the long day’s walk ! The shower plug hole & drain needed unclogging. After my hubby had his shower the water started leaking out under door into the bedroom -poss drains were clogged but also it had been pouring rain for several days which may have caused drainage issues too.

Very nice facilities, lots of space. I stayed in the blue bunk bed room & had a great experience. The host is so kind, amazing hospitality! They personally make everybody breakfast with their names on it & it’s included! I even told him about my food allergies & he made sure my breakfast had everything I could eat. It was delicious! The host also is always readily available and helps with everything! I will absolutely stay here again on my next Camino!

I wish the wi-fi worked a bit more consistently but I think this is a problem with the region because it’s in the mountains, I don’t think it’s the albergues’ fault

Although the lodging is outside the historic center, it is very convenient, especially if you are traveling towards Lugo, since the bus stop is just a few steps from the hostel. On the other hand the rooms and bathroom are clean and in good condition. The breakfast is very good, to start a day in this small town! Overall I really enjoyed my stay in this area. The historic center is only a 5 or 6 minute walk away and very close to the hotel. Also, if it is a hot day, there is a spa less than 5 minutes away.

The only negative thing I can say about this place was the company I had in the shared room. She was a very heavy French pilgrim who didn't even allow me to turn on the light at 21.30pm when I needed it to get my sleeping things.... Overall the accommodation is very comfortable and the owner is very nice!

The host was very helpful and accommodating. I inadvertently overbooked the number of beds (which he was unable to resolve on site), but when my son ended up wanting to spend an extra day at this location, he allowed him to stay in a private room free of charge. We had 2 private rooms which were very spacious and clean with a stocked private bathroom and it felt like staying in a hotel. My youngest son preferred the albergue experience and slept in the common room in a bunk bed and it was just as clean and orderly. The host prepared a table for our family with a pilgrim's breakfast, separate from the other visitors. This was a nice touch.

The location is a little off the beaten path of the town and you need to cross a main road (if you are a pilgrim) to get to it. Therefore, if you wish to go into the town, the same is true - you are a little bit away from the Camino action.

Carlos was super helpful & friendly; it was my first night on the Camino. He helped with luggage transfer etc. Kettle available to make tea & coffee fridge toaster etc. I have since learnt that the availability of a kettle in accommodation in Spain is rare. Cute bedroom curtains & wall painting.

Coffee machine gave a variety of coffee options but all were with sugar!

Comfortable rooms that were very spacious. There is a kitchen that you are able to cook in and a fridge to store food. There is breakfast free as well. Good location. Carlos was very friendly and helpful in providing instructions on how to get back on the Camino route.

There may have been a little mould under the window due to moisture. Otherwise everything was good.

Very nice B&B at Villafranca del Bierzo, Staff were very helpful and with excellent communications. It is slightly out of the way from the French way, but when you continue the next day you can go through a shortcut through a tunnel and join pilgrims on the other side. Breakfast was OK, and there was a coffee machine, only downside is that you cannot get any drink without sugar! Be sure to click on the button to use cups from the kitchen instead of the plastic disposables before selecting your drink.

Generous public space. Room good size.

Breakfast arrangement messy. People don’t follow instructions and just take whatever. Maybe separate area for rooms and bunks guests. People good at cleaning anyway. No excessive work for staff.

Super easy check in, and Carlos was the first host we have had who went out of his way advise on the town and also just take us to our room and make sure we were comfortable. The room is small but the value for money is high, especially counting breakfast and coffee. The location is by a road but it is very quiet at night, we had the window open all night and there was barely any noise. I had the best nights sleep here. Lots of people touches that made our stay special. Very recommended for pilgrims.

Location a little out of town so there is a small walk to dinner, but this is well reflected in the price paid. Would stay again.

This is the Best Accommodation on the Camino. Perfect for an early morning start, breakfast at anytime. Entering Villafranca take the road to the left (A6, N V1) sign posted Madrid. Cuts off all the Town and the B&B is at the bottom of the bend on the left. In the morning the tunnel cuts 1.5km off the Camino. Please use this secret gem of a place.

Nothing. I cannot praise Carlos and Neta enough
