the staff very kind and helpful. I enjoyed the breakfast with typical products. excellent size of the room and cleanliness. Although the swimming pool is not large, it is located in the middle of the greenery, an oasis of peace

The only problem is that if you have the room near the restaurant you hear the noises of the diners, including children until 01:00 at night and that if the pool hosts 5 couples with children playing ball and diving, which is forbidden , is no longer an oasis of peace

The pool is perfect, a shallow part for young kids and deeper part as well, clean and refreshing water. Bungalows have everything you need, separate quiet AC units in every room. The restaurant is open and dinner and breakfast are served, good quality and plenty of options for everyone and for kids they accept the kid wishes. Area is quiet and surrounding is good for a walking trip, we took 10 circle at first towards to the river and then back through the village, where we found a local bar to serve refreshing drinks and then back to the hotel.

We stayed in one of the bungalows. Loved everything about it and also the quiet of the area. The restaurant is amazing, as is breakfast and while our Spanish is minimal, everyone at the hotel was great and we managed to find what we needed. We also liked the proximity to town, which is lovely and has some great places for evenings in easy walking distance.

Not an issue once we knew to search in the restaurant but often no one is on reception, such as when we arrived. Now we know that we just need to go to the bar and ask.

The bungalow we stayed in was spacious and comfortable. It is a dream to wake up to the sound of the birds ! The outside space and swimming pool area was clean and well taken care of. We tried the restaurant on our first night and had to come back again and again, it was truly delicious! Breakfast was good, the machine for making fresh orange juice was at our full disposal which was great. Location was ideal for visiting Doñana Park.

The only thing I would note is the absence of a hairdryer in the bungalow, but I could borrow (a small) one at the reception.

Very pretty, beautifully landscaped property. Decorations in the restaurant and rooms were unique and beautiful. The rooms were comfortable and roomy. Arriving on a Sunday afternoon, the restaurant was VERY popular and busy, but we were able to get a table and the food was delicious. Breakfast buffet was tasty and the fresh squeezed orange juice was a bonus.

If you are looking for a peaceful stay in the countryside, don't stay on the weekends!! After a long day of driving we were looking forward to spending time on the pretty patio off the back door of each room. Unfortunately, the restaurant guests are allowed to let their children run and scream around the entire property. We had a VERY noisy 'football' game happening outside our room most of the afternoon. I would have been ever more disappointed had we rented one of the more expensive accommodations, all of which looked out on an area that was also open to the restaurant guests.

Ardea Purpurea Lodge is the best accommodation to visit the Donana national park. We stayed for 7 nights in January in one of the Bungalows, the heating worked which was just as well. The property was spacious, well laid out with a good outdoor space.

Our bungalow showed signs of wear and tear and only had the bear minimum of Kitchen ware. The breakfast was minimal with the usual processed ham and cheese and no scrambled eggs at the weekend. We tired the restaurant but were disappointed.

A really nice hotel set in stunning grounds and with good access to birdwatching sites. A good restaurant and a nice all year round pool. We particularly like the space afforded by their bungalows. We have stayed several times before and will do so again. Recommended.

A damp smell in the bathroom and a front door that at times was impossible to lock. Both would have been obvious and should have been dealt with before we pointed them out to reception.

It was tranquil and beautiful and the bed was amazing. The ducks were an added bonus

Breakfast didn't start till 8 so the excursion we booked meant we had to have a packed breakfast which was a shame. Also one of the excursions we booked we were told the wrong time so nearly missed it. The food clearly is no longer Michelen starred and not even close any longer, overpriced and the Parmesan salad was vile.

The beautiful gardens, funky decoration, big bedroom and private terrace. The pool area was big too. There was the sound of birds all the time which was very tranquil The staff were lovely, as was the restaurant.

The only thing I didn't like was the shower head fell down on me.

The place is amazing, we stayed in one of the 2-bedroom bungalows, we really liked the fact that it is equipped with a small kitchenette, so we could prepare some basic food when needed and also enjoy the excellent restaurant (the food there is amazing, we tried almost all possible types of fish from the menu, all very well prepared and served!). We also loved the pool and the fact that it is perfect for small children. The staff is also extremely welcoming, all of them made sure to make our stay very comfortable. They are very efficient and very friendly and could accommodate our different requests. The location is also perfect, in the middle of the Doñana park, there’s a lot to visit at only a 10-min drive (also great places for small children). We also spent a day in Sevilla and another day at the beach in Matalascañas, all very easily accessible from Ardea Purpurea. We were looking for a place to spend a relaxing holiday with our 2-year old, where we could enjoy nature while having all necessary facilities for a small child. This place was perfect for families and went beyond our expectations! Thanks a lot again to all the staff for welcoming us!

The bungalow can get a bit chilly when the temperatures outside are low, but otherwise everything was perfect!
