The hotel is ideally located within Ella to reach Little Adam’s Peak by foot and to walk or hop onto a short tuk tuk ride to Nine Arches. The scenery from my room was breathtaking- direct sight of the Peak and surrounding mountains. The room was large, clean and had all amenities one could desire. There was a turndown service before bed in case anything additional was desired. I had in-room dining and it came within a reasonable time, was OK in terms of price (comparable to European prices for items ordered) and was delicious. The breakfast buffet is outstanding in terms of options and quality of food and the bar has a lovely location too with great views.

We booked two different rooms as we booked late and the hotel was fully booked. The first room ( deluxe room) lacked character, you could tell it had been put together quickly and cheaply e.g the toilet seat didn’t shut correctly nor did the toilet flush properly. We then moved to a superior double room and wow what a difference. The room was perfect it even had a roll out bed that rolled out onto the balcony. We had our morning coffee in bed outside. I would recommend booking the double room - was worth the money. We didn’t think the deluxe room was worth the money at all.

Absolutely stunning location in the mountains of Ella. The views are worth the stay! Breakfast was yummy. The pool is beautiful (very chilly). The massage and spa treatment were wonderful! The location is nice for hiking and a short ride into Ella. The buggies were quick and very helpful. Some of the staff at breakfast were so lovely and kind. I don't think there is a better place to stay in the region!

I wish there were 2 bedroom options for traveling with kids. Some of the staff were absolutely lovely, and some seemed totally uninterested in helping. Our check-in experience was a bit odd and unhelpful. It seems like the resort is going through some expansion. The pool was so cold it didn't seem like anyone could really use it.

From the minute we arrived I felt we had arrived in a place of gentle nature. It was sensitively architectured with the surrounding trees and hillsides. I loved our honeymoon house with that huge panoramic view. The big sliding doors, the comfy wooden chairs on the balcony. The super comfortable bed was a delight with its net curtains, although we didn’t need to use them. The bedside lights worked well and you could read in bed. The bathroom was a plethora of a huge sympathetic granite stone basin with its carved in stone waterspout. The granite soap dish and that huge double bath , where you could look upwards or outwards over the bed. The sloping stone back to the bath was so comfy and two fitted in easily! I loved the four different blinds onto the verandah. Each could let in some light or not. The pool was lovely,so clean and the restaurant was excellent. We had a fabulous live musician on Friday and Saturday whose music echoed through the huge room and the terrace. So worth staying a couple of nights as you really get to relax. Never used the huge pool or the Spa. The staff are really delightful and some have worked there since it was first built. They were kind, interested and chatty and smiled with their eyes! Thank you to the whole team for a fabulous stay at the resort.

Honestly….nothing!

We had a wonderful stay, highlight of our trip so far. Our room was luxurious with a beautiful view to Little Adam’s Peak and Ella Rock. The location is excellent, you can walk up Little Adam’s Peak from the hotel and to 9 Arch Bridge. The town is close too, a short tuktuk away and easy to get from reception. We ate at the restaurant which had a lovely breakfast and dinner options were good, enjoyed a flute player one evening. Staff were excellent and very accommodating. 10/10!!

There are some building works going on but it didn’t affect our stay and we couldn’t hear anything. Our room by the pool and restaurant was a great location and further from this area, recommend asking for this if you can.

Everything about 98 Acres exudes calmness, contentment and a genuine determination to make the resort work with its natural surroundings, whilst sensitively using natural and disused products. The gorgeous granite basin with its granite spout and soap dish majestically sitting under the simple mirror was a pleasure to use. The double tiled honeymoon bath was amazingly comfortable and one could see the sky above , look in the mirror one way or out across the countryside through the room and balcony. The bed was very comfortable and two different sized pillows a great idea. Loved the soft feather pillow. The shower worked really well . I loved the discreet super efficient fan. a delight to have no air conditioning. Our room 103 was one of the first built and definitely commanded superb views and never got too hot. The balcony got the evening sun and a glorious sunset on first night. the pool was lovely as were the beds around it. super clean and very cheery pool attendant. The restaurant was the superb with live music both Friday and Saturday night was magical. The food was excellent and all the staff were so kind and helpful. There is lots to do there , but we so enjoyed the peaceful rest. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Nothing at all.

The Location is very nice as it is directly at the Little adams Peak and the ravana zip line. The breakfast Buffet was amazing! Dinner was also nice but the prawns tasted floury. The dessert (Mousse au chocolat and creme brulee) was insanely good! We also booked a massage, which was great value for Money. The spa room was super comfortable, with the open window and the view into the Forest. Sisbriangi and sherin were our massage ladies and they did a great job! The room itself has a nice large bed and a beautiful bathroom. The main pool is also very nice with the cozy sun beds. The only thing we would criticize is the ravana pool club. Even for hotel guests the entry is about 10.000 rupees a day (which in our opinion is not worth it because it is super crowded and VIP entrance where it is a little less crowded costs even more). We were also disappointed that it closes at 8 pm! It would be such a nice location for a night out or some nice drinks in the evening. All in all a good choice in Ella. Thank you :)

Beautiful property in Ella! I would say one of the more high end places to stay in the whole town and it really feels like that when you’re there. You can request golf buggy’s to collect you from your room if you’re a bit of walking distance (nothing is too far away though) to bring you to reception/pool/dinner. The pool area is gorgeous and the views are incredible. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all really tasty and it’s close enough to town if you fancy getting a tuk tuk to try something different. From the property you’re very close to the mine arch bridge and little Adam’s peak as well. We still took a tuk tuk to the bridge as it was dead heat but you can walk to little Adam’s Peak. Although we didn’t go ourselves because the hotel pool is beautiful, Ravana pool club and zip line are within walking distance as well. Lastly, the staff were all incredibly friendly.

Nothing, the property was great! There is no electrical AC though, just a ceiling fan above the bed but it was still perfectly fine at night.

Loved our stay - such a relaxing and chilled out location in the hills with the best views of the tea plantations and surrounding areas. Breakfast was great and the staff were helpful and very friendly. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately the hotel pool, bar and restaurant were closed for renovations while we were there. We had the option of using the onsite Ravana Pool Club which is lovely in the morning but turns into a club like scene in the afternoon with DJ, loud music, etc. Not exactly a place for relaxing but great if you're looking for a party vibe.

Beautiful boutique hotel overlooking the hills of Ella. The room and balcony were stunning, food was excellent and service was faultless. Location is a little far from Ella (but short tuk tuk away) but you have little Adams peak and 9 Arches Bridge on your door step which are the primary attractions around Ella.

We had terrible weather which we really cannot blame on the hotel! But maybe a sheltered area for drinks other than the bar would have been nice. There was a beautiful pool and platform overlooking the hills where you could enjoy drinks that we didn't get to make the most of because of the weather.
