The location was great, best sleep we had in Sri Lanka rooms were really nice temperature great beds, nice hotel

Staff were a bit weird, the doorman closes the shutters early and then you feel like you have to ask permission to leave and come back late, doesn’t feel easy to get in and out in the evening, which was a downer on a really good stay. the rooftop is also a bit rubbish, dirty pool and area, pictures make it look better

Great location, 5 min walk into central Kandy. We arrived at 0630 and were able to check into our room much earlier than the usual 1400 (also kindly upgraded for free). Everything worked - air con/tv etc. The breakfasts on the rooftop restaurant were excellent and staff were super helpful inside the hotel and with recommendations for our stay in Sri Lanka. Swimming poole on the rooftop would be perfect for cooling off - we had solid rain so not required! Overall, highly recommended and would stay again, thank you!

Nothing negatives, a great stay!

Great location and amenities in a large hotel. Extra points for having a drinking water fountain and reusable bottles available for guests in the hall! That alone makes the place worth it. We arrived late at night and left early in the morning so i can’t speak to the pool and lounge areas, but the front desk staff and security staff were wonderful. The budget twin room was very basic and quite small, but we knew that going in - every other room was booked. The room had everything we needed, the bathroom was clean and decent, and we had enough space for our luggage which we didn’t expect from a budget room. Good value for money.

Our room was in the third floor and the elevator only goes from the second floor upwards, so we had to climb two flights of stairs with all our luggage. The staff helped with the bigger backpack though, that was very kind of them. It’s a large hotel so it can feel a bit like a maze navigating to the room. Even though it was a Budget Room, they could have provided a kettle and tea cups and a hair dryer, which even the most basic rooms have, but as the hotel was fully book they might not have had one to spare. Perhaps they would have provided one otherwise, as the staff was super nice.

We loved staying in Sevana Hotel.We got big double room with view on the Main Street which was interesting to watch.Central Location,close to walk everywhere,shops and restaurants around.Room very clean,big comfortable bed,kettle with coffee/tea.Refilling water.Stuff of the hotel was really nice and polite.We had breakfast few times at the hotel and it was really big and delicious.Biggest THANK YOU to the wonderful manager of the restaurant Jaianter who has exceptional manners and was taking care of us in the best ever way! Would definitely stay again!!!

I had a wonderful experience at this beautiful hotel. The spacious rooms with double sink bathrooms, hot showers, comfortable beds, smart TVs, and fridge were impressive. The top floor restaurant and medium-sized swimming pool provided a delightful view. The staff's kindness, friendliness, and professionalism were commendable. The only drawback was the weak Wi-Fi on the fifth floor, requiring visits to the lobby for connectivity. Despite this, the clean and well-designed hotel is highly recommended, especially for stays in Kandy, Sri Lanka.

The WiFi was awful on the 5th floor.

My stay was fabulous! I was super excited by the comfortable bed. The room service was great and the food (breakfast and dinner) was just what I needed! The hotel is quite pretty, especially the rooftop pool area where there is a well maintained garden. The staff are very friendly and the service was quick and professional.

I wish the room had a mini fridge! It's okay though because the hotel staff let me keep some drinks in their fridge.

The terrace views are gorgeous, really nice for breakfast. And they also have a cute pool. We had a big room with AC and a decent toilet so it was quite comfortable. They also had a water cooler downstairs and a lot of spaces to sit and chill outside the rooms. They were able to organise laundry for us in a short period which was appreciated. There were also several nice cafes and restaurants literally next door so was easy to grab food.

Our room had 3 individual beds but we managed to push 2 of them together - still a double bed option would have been nice. The breakfast was fine - not amazing but had all the basics and the waiters were very responsive. The hotel is on a main street so walking along the streets is a hassle and there's usually lots of traffic. They also didn't have their own parking but it wasn't a big deal.

Lovely staff, really helpful about booking me a seat for the festival of the tooth (Esala Perahera) and then they looked after my suitcase whilst I went off into the jungle to a yoga retreat for a couple of days. The hotel is an easy walk into Kandy city centre which frees up the need for endless tuktuks and it is so quiet, it’s a great escape from the city outside - especially in festival season!

The pool was a great addition but needed a bit of a sweep of insects

Nice hotel, close to the centre of Kandy. Comfortable bed with lots of fluffy pillows which we really appreciated. Nice rooftop pool and you get separate towels for this.

The pool was a bit grubby which left black marks on skin and out swimsuits. We had a room at the front so could hear the road but if you had a room further back then this would be fine. Was a little tatty round the edges and bathroom door wasn't very good but I think that's what you expect for the price.

Because the location was a distance from the city center where all the vegan restaurants are my 4 night stay was difficult at meal time because the hotel offered no vegan options on their menu, nor was there anywhere close by. You are not allowed to order food from outside. The chef was kind offering to make veg fried rice. I found the staff kind and my room comfortable. I would have given this hotel 10 stars if I could have eaten there.
