Great bang for the buck, and probably the friendliest hostel in Uppsala. It is clean, tidy and very calm. Stayed here 3 times over the years, and always seem to end up having the most interesting conversations with the guy running the place about the different curiosities in our respective countries (I'm a Swede who emigrated to Spain 16 years ago). The place is located right in the very middle of Uppsala putting it right next to restaurants, stores and "must see's". Next time I plan another visit to Uppsala this hostel will be on the very top of the list of places to stay.

As I'm not into inventing stuff for the sake of having something to write... Why do I have to write about stuff I didn't like, when everything met my expectations?

Easy check-in and plenty of bath rooms / showers, so no long queues.

Low bunk beds. Hit my head a few times.

This place is definitely the best choice for someone who is visiting Uppsala. It’s located in the centre of the city with many bars and restaurants around. In addition, the hostel is small and very clean. The owner is a kind guy who is 100% willing to help. I was lucky enough to be alone in the 4-bed room, so I couldn’t know what it would be like with roomates here. The kitchen is well-equipped and clean as well. And also, the most important thing, I felt safe and secure all the time, considering that I was staying here alone.

Bedroom and bathrooms super clean and with all the necessary facilities. Very nice staff at the reception. Great location and not noisy at night.

The only two backwards: the kitchen and common space are completely without windows and they should put better curtains in the bedrooms given the light at 3 in the morning during the summer.

The location is perfect. We stayed during the Valborg-festival so everything was nearby: River rafting event, Mass donning of the caps, the bus stop for the Gamla Uppsala Walpurgis bonfire. Convenient kitchen and good showers.

Due to the festival in town I expected a lively atmopshere in the hostel but we did not see many other guests.

The hostel has clean room, with comfortable bed (and you have also the chance to choose room on gender basis, which is fine for those who travel alone). The shower are big considering that it is an hostel and they are clean on daily basis. There is a big kitchen with a commod room and several table where you have the chance to have lunch or dinner. All the people there have been really nice to me. I really enjoy my stay there!

I didn't have a problem with anything. I'm an older traveller but like the minimum of fuss and good cleanliness, and that's what I got. I can't understand the moans about the showers. If there's an overhead shower you can take it off the hook and use it. Being Sweden I found all guests respectable and they left the showers clean and dry. The water was plentiful and hot, and isn't that all you need.

The kitchen didn't seem used much and so maybe it lacked a little atmosphere, but on the plus side it was quiet. There wasn't another communal space that I noticed. But my room was fine and a nice little haven.

Great hostel near the train station. The host waited for us to arrive even though we were much later than expected. There is a big kitchen where we had some tea and water. The beds were comfortable and clean and so were the toilets and the showers.

The rooms were opposite a club so there was loud music until early in the morning.

I have stayed in various hostels in Scandinavia. This was the best. The rooms were so cosy and clean bed linen. Bathrooms were soo clean and fresh. Kitchen was huge with all sorts of cooking facility. Location was soo good, that everything was in walking distance. Staff was really helpfull. Each room even had lockers, study table and stool. Apt for business and study visits.

Staff was very helpful. We were able to check-in early since we arrived Uppsala before the check-in time. The beds were comfortable and there was a perfect makeup table in the room. It was very peaceful.

The original room details let us understand we would have toilet in the room, perhaps this is error in translation. Overall it did not cause too much trouble.
