Overall I was happy with my stay at Duvan! The location was great – very quiet at night, and about a 5-7 minute walk to the centre of town. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. The room and the bathroom were simple but have everything you need, including a full-size wardrobe. The common lounge areas were comfortable and quiet, and a good place to do work in the evenings. Breakfast was simple and very 'Scandinavian' in style. Staff were friendly and helpful and dealt with an unexpected problem with my entry swipe card. Self check-in process was pretty smooth.

It's nothing bad, but keep in mind that this is a family-run hotel, which means that it has a very welcoming and homely feel, but the reception office is only staffed during limited hours. This isn't such a problem, unless you actually do need something.

The room was very spacious, clean, modern and nice. The bed was comfortable and it was very quiet during my stay. There is a kitchen available for the guests to use in the 5th floor, if they need it. The hotel is very close to the train station and the center. The lady in the reception was polite and helpful. Very quick checking in and out. There is an elevator but I didn't always use it.

The breakfast was good but I wouldn't mind some pastries and some more coffee choices. Maybe have a coffee machine. The bathroom was clean but I would prefer the shower to be enclosed somehow, not just with curtains but maybe with glass.

The location of the hotel was perfect, with easy access to the centre and the station. The room was spacious and clean. The common lounge and kitchen were super cosy. The staff was also very helpful and friendly.

The only thing that could be improved was the bathroom, which was a bit basic and lacked some space for storing/placing items. The shower in the Swedish style without a border was a bit problematic in the bathroom and a shower border of some kind would be helpful, especially for foreign guests.

Very clean and comfortable. Excellent wi-fi access .The hotel is at very good location, close to the shops and the central station. The breakfast was very good, but could be improved with more variety of fresh products (fruits, salads..)

I expected that there will be hairdryer in the room. The bathroom needs renovation to fix the old way of draining the water from the shower. There is no barrier between the shower and the other surface in the bathroom. So, It is not so pleasant to have totally wet floor whenever you take shower. "Luckily" there was a big jogger to remove the water each time.

Very clean rooms with comfortable beds. The Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The location was quiet and with easy walking distance to the Railway station and town centre. Use of a communal kitchen was a benefit.

Although it didnt affect us, it might be advantageous to some guests to have the reception manned for longer hours.

The location was ideal - close to the station and centre of town. Clear instructions and easy check in outside if reception hours. Comfortable bed, great staff and good breakfast.

Would have loved a kettle in the room. Also the shower tended to flood the bathroom so I needed to take care.

Perfectly suited our needs. Well located, spacious, clean and with a good breakfast included. A very unlucky, unforseen situation developed during the stay, but because the staff were apologetic and professional in their response afterwards, I can highly recommend this accommodation and will be happy to stay there again in the future!

Great value hotel. Breakfast was good with a lot of options and they even have some gluten free options. There's a nice common room and even a small kitchen with a fridge (and small freezer) and the ability to boil water. Location couldn't be more perfect. It's a short walk from the train station and the heart of Uppsala.

very clean and the bedroom was well made up. The breakfast was small (not a bad thing!!) and perfectly peaceful in the morning! i wasn’t feeling well and the hotel was the perfect place to rest and close to a shop to go and get what I needed.

No lift that I could see, it didn’t affect me severely even though I felt a bit sick and walking up 4 flights of stairs wasn’t fun

We have enjoyed our stay at Duvan, especially when it comes to the location and overall comfort. The lounge area on the 5th floor was a pleasant surprise, decorated with antique furniture.

Our only complain is that there was no opportunity to get tea or coffee outside the restaurant hours. It is not a big cost to put a water boiler in the lounge areas, yet it makes a big difference when one wants to make a tea in the evening has to leave early in the morning.
