We truly enjoyed our stay at Hotell St Clemens. The personnel is extremely nice and accomodating: you feel comfortable and taken care of rightaway! There is coffee, apples, and some small cakes near the reception, so you can take a fika break during your sightseeing. We enjoyed the breakfast - everything was fresh and tasty; there was enough variety for us for the two nights we stayed. We had no problem getting a non-gluten alternative for bread. While there was no warm food (like scrambled eggs or bacon), there were freshly boiled, soft eggs each morning. The room we had was relatively small, but we found everything we needed (and more!) there. Upon departure we could leave our small bags at no cost and we also got a small gift with local tea - what a nice touch! And a plus for a great location - the hotel is literally nested in one of the ruins you came to visit in Visby!

I went to Visby with a couple of friends and their 1yo baby and we were super happy to stay at St Clemens! The location is perfect and just besides the botanical garden, which we all loved. The reception staff was super kind, patient and helpful, providing us with a lot of tips. Hugo was the main person I spoke to and he was always sweet and glad to help. The hotel itself is gorgeous - a bunch of small and charming houses. The patios are lovely and there were had so many thoughtful details that made our lives easier while traveling with a baby. There was a very cute sandpit on the back patio and lots of toys to keep kids busy both at the reception and also at the breakfast room. There were little treats for adults too: coffee and (very delicious) biscuits at will during the day and they also gave us some tea bags as a goodbye gift when we were leaving - how sweet! And the breakfast spread was really delicious - so many yummy options! I would definitely recommend and stay again.

The WiFi didn't work from both rooms as the signal was too week, but I had 3G so it was all good. It got really warm at night, which was fine for me, but more challenging for my friends, who had an extra cot inside their small room.

Hotell St. Clemens was exceptional in all aspects. The staff were knowledgable, professional, genuine, kind, and so very helpful. The site itself, occupying several buildings, and built right up to the Old Town fortifications was fabulous. Every possible guest need had been anticipated, all the courtyards and public areas were charming, inviting, and well maintained, plus the location in 'Old Town' put everything in walking distance. Probably the best aspect of the stay for us was breakfast. Beautifully presented with a tremendous variety of well-prepared foods it was a treat for the palate and the senses. Hotell St. Clemens was the absolute best of five locations we stayed in Sweden.

We wished our stay could have been longer. We will plan an entire return trip so we can stay at Hotell St. Clemens again.

Charming buildings and accommodation right beside the 800 year old St. Clemens church, botanical gardens, and stunning Baltic Sea shore. We had a wonderful time exploring the town and finding great places for dinner. Staff were welcoming and generous with information and providing anything needed. Breakfast was delicious.

We liked everything and wished we could stay longer. We don’t like the European custom of the two single duvets for a double bed but this is the same everywhere!

Beautiful boutique hotel in a unique location. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is absolutely delicious and generous. The hotel has a pretty courtyard and access to the old church from it. It is nearby the Botanic Gardens and a short walk to the waterfront or into the centre of the town. There is some traffic noise on the tiny cobbled street but ear plugs are provided if needed. It was a really special place to stay.

The lady at the reception was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was delicious and with great variety. The room was quite spacious and the products in the bathroom were very high quality.

The shower was the floor type, meaning that every time I was taking a shower I was also making a huge mess in the entire bathroom. Not too bad but definitely bring slippers

Loved the location in the midst of some of the most historical sites to be seen in Visby. Very old inn with tons of charm and character. The bonus was our courtyard being right next to the old ruin of St Clemens church. Room was cozy, spacious and had everything we needed. Staff was beyond accommodating....so nice and helpful. Breakfast was great and served in sunny cheerful room upstairs.

This is such a beautiful little hotel, very quaint little rooms around a lovely courtyard. The staff were so helpful providing advice about the town and also booked a taxi to the airport for us. The breakfast was also lovely with lots of local options.

Our room was under the breakfast room so we could hear people walking around above us, but it didn't really bother us too much

Loved the location. We walked through Reception out into the ruins of an old church, continued through a side gate into the botanical gardens, from where we could see the old city walls. Further along to the right, there was a tower within these walls which we were able to climb, with wonderful views from the top. This location is also about 5 minutes walk from many shops, cafes, other church ruins, and the cathedral. Staff were warm, welcoming, and helpful. Our room was comfortable. The breakfast buffet was cold, but there were quite a few choices, and warm soft-boiled eggs. Appreciated the selection of fruit.

Nothing we didn't like, and the following are personal preferences only. Would have preferred a wider selection of breakfast cereals., for example, muesli. Only had granola (this mix didn't taste great to me unfortunately). There was also rolled oats. Initially, parking on the premises was booked out (only 5 spaces available), which created some stress. At that time, would have appreciated more information about the best places to park close to the premises, so could feel better prepared on arrival. Parking later became available.

Very charming small hotel in the dead centre of town, but with a village vibe, not least the garden and courtyard. Friendly, competent staff and a delicious breakfast of local specialties.

The WiFi never really worked for us. This is 2023. For a hotel in this price range, the WiFi should be working tip-top, regardless whether you bring Apple, Mac, Android or Chrome.
