The room and the hotel is super nice and very well maintained. We chose the bigger suite in the last floor and was just perfect for our family. I would definitely come back and recommend to anyone who likes to stay in the area. Even those who want to go up to Flims/Laax, it is really a short drive.

Dinner at the hotel restaurant took extremely long. Personnel was at all times very polite and they explained they had a big group but… we were two families with small children and they could have at least prioritised dinner for small children. All in all it took us 2 hours and half to have dinner.

This was our second time staying in this beautiful family run hotel, we just love everything about it. The rooms are very spacious & everything in the room is high quality. The rooms are always spotlessly clean which is super important for us. The staff are always friendly & even remembered us from our previous stay a couple of years earlier. The breakfast is of an excellent quality & the lady that runs the breakfast room was amazingly efficient & cool under pressure when it was very busy one morning. The hotel is a short walk to the train station which gave us good connections for exploring most of Graubunden & beyond, Bonaduz is just such an excellent base for train & bus exploration in all directions. There is also a coop supermarket almost just across the road from the hotel. Bonaduz is not a tourist town but for us that is a real plus, & this hotel is one of the best we have stayed in.

Very small thing, would be nice if there was a dish cloth & T towel just so we could clean our cups etc

Modern hotel and very nice, Well equipped, good breakfasts (good restaurant). Centrally located to some beautiful areas of the Engadine valley.

Lacks charm and jolly expensive. Located at a cross road, there is quite a bit of traffic noise and no view. While only needed "for a few days of the year" [the weather was hot for over a week in Engadine], the absence of AC or fan was annoying given the price paid for the room and "open the window" is not really an option due to the traffic noise and mosquitos. Parking was not always available - first come first served.

Beautifully built hotel. Although you might think from the name 'Alte' (meaning Old) that it's some old creaky building, it is completely new from the ground up. The hotel is I think 8 years old max. Everything is beautifully finished to a very high quality. We stayed in a spacious room on the 3rd floor with exposed beams, large bed and lounge area. Breakfast was very well attended service. Free parking right in front of the hotel, and so easy to get to with a car. As it's about 13 mins drive from the hotel to Flims, it's a perfect alternative - with better value for money - than staying up in the resort. Of course you need a car ideally, and then you just use the Inside-Laax app to book your parking in Flims with a QR code right at the lift. Straight onto the lift thereafter. You can do by bus - but you have to change once so it's 30 mins bus ride to Flims. (tip to the hotel -- I would consider emphasising the fact that this is a NEW hotel)

I'm going to be very, very picky, only because the review asks for it. I found the blue light from the room blind switches a bit annoying at night (they're bright and can keep you awake). A little cover would be great. The beds are a tad firm for my taste. Maybe there could be a little menu at breakfast for some items that could be ordered - e.g .it could be clearer if you could order an omelette. But seriously, these are tiny points.

A lot of things are great here. For example, since we stayed as a family, we had the whole hotel to ourselves( there are two hotels)! The breakfast is also great and he is so welcoming when you meet him. Also, he specially made scrambled eggs because we were a little bit late for our train.

The fact that there were two hotels were just a little bit annoying. We had 4 suitcases so it made it a little bit worse. If you are elderly and are staying with your whole family, I wouldn't stay here. You also have to eat breakfast in the other hotel. It is also a bit far from the Bonaduz train station so we had to walk a little bit to get there.

Breakfast was okay. Some days there was hot fresh eggs offered, other days not.

The recommendation for skiing was not very good. Long, hard drive to get to the location, minimal parking available at recommendation. Likely, should have relied on the internet versus hotel staff.

I made the right choice. This is a very high quality and excellent hotel. It is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It has the quality design you will find in 5-star hotels. It is a great option to stay here, just 15 minutes away from Chur. I will stay at this hotel every time I come here and I definitely recommend it.

Had an AMAZING stay! The room were super spacious, clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities. There is a really good bath where you can unwind while looking out to the mountains. We were greeted by the owner and the owners son, both were super kind and professional. The breakfast had a lot of options. Highly recommended stay in Switzerland. The location is 15min from Chur Station which you can travel on the Bernina express to Italy (return/one way)

Everything was great.

Absolutely loved our stay in this wonderful family run hotel, the staff were all super friendly, the room was larger than a normal hotel room & exceptionally clean. The breakfast was of a high quality. Loved going down to the nice dining room each morning & being met with a big smile from the lovely Anna who always made us an excellent coffee. The hotel is right in the heart of the nice little village of Bonaduz which is a bit of a hidden gem in it's own right. Just a short walk to the train station each day for exploring the region. We spent 6 weeks in Switzerland & this special little hotel was by far the best one we stayed in. A big thank you to everyone at Hotel Alte Post for making our stay amazing. This will be the first place we will go on a return trip to Switzerland.

Just a couple of small things, the wifi had a tendency to drop out a bit when in the room. Also, a couple of cloths to clean & dry our cups would have been handy, but as I said, very small things in an excellent & extremely well run hotel.
