The cafe had a great ambience and style and the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel had a nice quiet guest lounge, for all guests to use with seating and complimentary tea and a fridge and microwave.

We work in holiday accommodation and could not understand at all why the rooms had no water drinking glasses. You had to collect one, each day, from the guest lounge. If you forgot to get one before bed you had to go down two floors from our room. The duvet cover on our bed had a raised brush finish pattern all round which was uncomfortable. Maybe it was a one off but I recommend changing it out and putting water glasses in the room.

We were so pleased with our decision to stay here. We looked at a lot of hotels and this was everything we hoped for and more. Such a great location, overlooking the river and mountains, and a short walk alongside the river to Interlaken-OST train station. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed and the staff were very friendly and helpful, even showing us the webcams up in the mountains so we could work out what clothes we needed. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and they made us any drink we wished for. This is a lovely personal service. We arrived by car and actually just left it in the car park for our whole stay as we were close enough to everything we needed. When we come back to Interlaken we will look to stay here before anyone else.

couldn't find anything i didn't like - this place is delightful

Probably the cleanest place I have ever stayed anywhere in the world. The room was incredibly clean and tidy, furnished with simple but lovely furniture and the bathroom was so clean that it looked practically brand new (I'm sure the room has been fully renovated recently). The bed was really comfortable, bathroom facilities were excellent. The view from my room was amazing. The staff were friendly, breakfast was simple but good. Although we went to Interlaken during a rainy week we still had an excellent stay.

For one person they supply you with a smaller blanket - I gather this is German tradition but worth knowing if you are a big person or someone who is used to a bigger blanket. There is a common area with fridge and kettle and microwave which was really helpful but no kettles are supplied in rooms (which was not an issue for me).

The location right on the river was absolutely stunning - we loved the cafe on the first floor, too, and frequently enjoyed mocha lattes, some reading time, and conversation with the friendly baristas. A huge bonus is the cafe will make you your preferred coffee in the morning with your breakfast. Excellent coffee and a lovely place to stay in Interlaken! I would absolutely stay again if in the city. The baristas have excellent tips on where to eat in the city, too!

The bathrooms are on the smaller side, but that's to be expected in some of these old buildings.

My single bed room had just an amazing view. It was compact with a single bed and table/chair and storage rack, but met my needs of having a private bathroom as a solo traveler where I was out most of the time. Its a 500 meter walk from the Interlaken West , has restaurants and COOP at walking distance. The mattress and bedding was comfortable and had place to keep my suitcase. The breakfast spread was good as well and everyone in the team was helpful and took time out for recommendations and help you with plan suggestions. You had a lounge for hotel guest where you had a microwave , some cutlery and coffee/ Tea available with Kettle. ) No Induction cooktop though.

Only gap was there was no lift so would be a problem if you are travelling with a lot of luggage or with older people you have to may be mention to take it on the first floor. Staff did help with the luggage though.

Nestled in what can only be described as a slice of heaven on Earth, this charming hotel captivates guests with its blend of historical allure and modern comfort. The owners, Kat and Tim, have lovingly renovated an old building, preserving its unique character while ensuring that each room shines with newness and cleanliness. Kat and Tim's warm and welcoming demeanor adds a personal touch to the experience, making guests feel right at home in this picturesque setting. This hotel is a must-visit for those seeking beauty, comfort, and a friendly atmosphere in one of the most stunning parts of the world.

We absolutely loved it here! Great location, great hotel and great staff. We were travelling from Australia and turns out the owner of this hotel/cafe is Australian. The staff were wonderful and let us check in straight away. The room was a decent size with a pretty comfortable bed. The bathroom is newly renovated and very nice and clean. There is no air conditioning but there is a fan. No TV in the room either. It’s a good location and pretty central. We were able to walk from the train station to the hotel with our 30kg suitcases in about 10mins.

This is a lovely hotel and cafe in a converted old house so full of character. The location is walkable from both West and Ost train stations. The view from my room over the river and mountains was great to wake up to and the breakfast was substantial enough to set you up for the day with scrambled eggs, cheese etc. The staff were all really nice and friendly and were kind enough to give some advice before I set out to climb Harder Kulm as the conditions were quite wet and icy in mid December. Much appreciated guys, highly recommended!

No negatives for me, I loved this place and would return without hesitation.

Really great staff, genuinely friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast and love the general cafe vibe. Our family room was a very good size and had two single beds for our kids which was a nice change (most places seem to do one double). Location is a short walk from the station and right by the river. The cafe (and front desk) is closed by 7pm, after which the guest lounge is open with all the cutlery and crockery you need. All in all it was a perfect base to explore Interlaken and beyond.

When we arrived the location and place was amazing . Staff were friendly and welcoming to us and all guests staying at the establishment . Rooms were clean and spacious . Food was fantastic including our breakfasts every day . What can I say but the staff went above and beyond to make our stay in the Aarbourg Hotel One we will cherish for a very long time . The common area where we had facilities to make our own food and keep our drinks chilled in the fridge .teas and coffee available too. To roundour stay off we cannot give 5 stars because we want to give 10star rating . We highly recommend this hotel as it captures the very heart of Interlacken and it's wonderful scenery everytime u wake up and are blown away by the Amazing views from your bedroom window .💚🇮🇪

Nothing really comes to mind as everything was positive for us during our stay . I would even recommend no tv in your room as you will not need one as too much to enjoy over there .😎👌🇨🇭💚🇮🇪
