I noticed the reviews on this place were 50/50 so I was nervous about it, but it ended up exceeding my expectations. I think this place is fine for a short stay, if you're trying to save money in expensive Switzerland, this place is fine and does the job. I had a lovely little balcony and the room was a decent size. Bed was ok in comfort, not the greatest but not the worst. Don't get me wrong, the bathrooms could do with some renovations as it looks like they haven't been updated since the 80's but it was clean and I didn't have an issue with this place. There was a receptionist at the restaurant underneath that checked me in and gave me the keys. She was funny. She asked me if I wanted to add breakfast on and proceeded to tell me that the breakfast wasn't that great...so I didn't end up doing it lol

Bathrooms could do with a renovations, more comfortable beds would be better too

The price is affordable for my budget coz we went to a lot of places so we need just a comfy bed to sleep & a good shower to refresh! The location is excellent which is 15 mins walk to the train station. It has a nearby grocery which is also affordable & it’s near a park where we were able to sit & relax & just enjoy the fresh air & savor the views! The breakfast is good! For a budget traveler, this is a good one! If you have breakfast outside… it’s like $25 for a croissant & cappuccino for 2 people & this breakfast has everything- meat, cheese, fruits, yogurt & breads/ croissant. And of course unlimited coffee & cappuccino! It’s very clean! You could see that they maintain it even though the building is old.! They clean the room & towels are changed regularly! The staff are accommodating & friendly as well! I like this hotel it’s kinda old but it’s comfy & very affordable & near everything! I don’t need a very fancy & expensive hotel to just sleep! We are always on the go! So this hotel was good enough for me & my daughter!

The bathroom is old & needs remodeling!

Kareem the receptionist is very accomodating, giving us valuable information which we were able to utilize during our trip. Also, he is very polite and friendly during our stay. He even sang a birthday song for me which was very nice of him. The room smells very nice and very clean, everything that we need is there. The ambiance of the room is very homey. The towels were replaced immediately the day after even we didnt request it. This is the best hotel we have ever stayed in all of our travels.

The texture of the pillowcase and duvet were a little bit rough. Apart from that, everything was superb and perfect.

Friendly staff. They gave us useful directions and did us a favour by warming our food and letting us eat in the dining area below (eating in rooms not allowed). Plus the staff gave us some useful tips on the best ticket to buy for the intended siteseeing spots. This saved us a decent amount of money. Breakfast options were quite decent and standard, free beverages for guests were included even outside of breakfast times. I guess they are used to Asian/Indian tourists - there even was rice on the menu. The location is quite accessible from either Train stations (closer to West). Rooms were clean and so was the bathroom.

Granted the checkin time starts at 3 PM. It would still have been nice to be allowed to check in a bit ahead of time like some hotels allow and use the room to freshen up. To the hotel's credit, they do have a place to store luggage even if there is some time for checkin.

We stayed for nearly two days with my family, before arriving at the hotel we were lost, so called the hotel Maite the manager and Karim on the reception were sooo helpful in every way, never got tired answering all my calls. We were so late arriving at the hotel but they did their best to welcome us in a very simple gesture and we got the keys. When we arrived on our respective rooms, it was so welcoming seeing our lovely beds. The reception and the dining area were so like an old fashion style way back years but it was very clean and unique in every way. We didn’t get the chance to dine in due to rush hour and soo tired after strolling around. Maite and Karim were sooo helpful, very friendly, and the domestic staff were sooo great, we were all surprised that they left new towels, more toiletries after strolling around all day and tidying up our rooms, with such a lovely welcoming room temperature. If my family would come back to INterlaken definitely would come back here in Hotel Minerva. The price is just right on the budget, perfect location for everything, trains, bus, food and drinks. Thank you HOTEL

I booked two double room but a bit confused cause the room for my two daughters was bigger and quite spacious. But for me and my husband was quite small and not enough rooms for our stuffs. The toilet was small but it was ok for two people. But in general our stay was good and slept comfortably. Maybe the next time i will stay here i have to make sure that our room is spacious enough.

The hotel is great value for money, friendly approachable staff make it welcoming. If you just need a place with a bed and a shower and an easy breakfast in the morning then this is where you should stay in Interlaken. Everyday I was out exploring the region and hiking various areas, so the hotel was perfect to use as a base for this. At the end of the day you get what you pay for, the rates are way lower than other hotels in the area. Overall a good experience and would stay again.

Having to leave the key at reception everytime you leave the hotel. Sometimes it can be noisy especially if you have inconsiderate fellow guests slamming doors and having conversations in the hallway at well gone midnight, but this is no fault of the hotel.

This is a small hotel in a little side street, only metres from central Interlaken. The staff was exceptional, the room clean and offering everything you need.

The breakfast buffet was a little underwhelming, but with few guests in the hotel (midweek in cold wet winter weather) I understand that the buffet would likely be more extensive with higher occupancy of the hotel.

Great location, scenic walk away from Interlaken Ost station, really pleasant and clean rooms, budget friendly. For us, everything was perfect: location, cleanliness, 360 view from room, budget and comfort. The staff, specifically Mr. Karim and Ms. Maite were incredibly helpful and accommodating. We would come back anytime with pleasure. Thank you!

we had a prepaid room but upon checkout they asked us to pay again the full price of the room because they said they have system problem with the payments made online, assured us that we will get a refund but up until now no update no refund and it was more than a month already. they don’t even respond to booking.com calls and emails. sooo frustrating!! they even said they already sent a report to booking.com but they did not. 😭😔
