Modern, very good size room, immaculately presented, super bathroom. Everything good quality. Extensive breakfast choice. Dinner in restaurant excellent. Very stylish yet understated hotel which, for us, did everything well. The staff, without exception, were brilliant. All very professional, very good at what they did and so friendly and welcoming too. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back!

Beautiful property located within minutes of the Madonna della Sasso sanctuary with it’s own funicular stop. A short downhill walk to the Plaza Grande and the lakeside promenade. The in-house facilities like the pool and the bar etc. were very enjoyable.

The fact that there was no staff at the pool to control a loud & rowdy bunch of kids splashing about and making a nuisance.

Comfortable bedroom with good shower room. Excellent views from the bedroom over the lake. Good car parking on site. Excellent local bus service provided free to guests of the hotel. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Excellent and clean swimming pool.

I felt that breakfast at CHF28 was very overpriced Car parking at CHF13 per night is fairly expensive. It is quite a steep walk up to the hotel from the main central piazza.

Location-quiet and peaceful, with the beautiful view of Lago Maggiore, complimentary shuttle from the main train station was much appreciated. Child friendly- important for parents, nice surprise in the room with little teddy and cute small size wardrobe and slippers for pool :) Room-comfortable, not too spacious. view was stunning 🤩 Breakfast had a good choice, not too much though for those who like warm porridge and not too much sugar, dairy or animal products 😊 Restaurant dinner menu one not to be missed, for sure. Staff- very friendly, accommodating, top class. PS amazing place for those who like to catch nice photos 😎

The hotel rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was great. The bartender was very friendly and fun. We loved the pool and play areas.

The property is very nice but perhaps not as suitable for boisterous kids. We felt bad while playing ping pong and badminton that we were disturbing people.

Everything was great! The location is perfect, 10 minutes walk from the train station and right next to the funicular, and the elevation of the place above the city allows a great lake view. Our room and other facilities were all newly renovated, clean and comfortable. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The restaurant La Fontana which is right inside the hotel is simply excellent. We couldn’t find better food elsewhere at Locarno, just make sure to reserve the table in advance!

Excellent hotel, good location especially if traveling by car. Not close to the lake but easily walkable. We stayed in one of the suites in the newer building, it was specious, modern and well equipped. Our suite had a big balcony with stunning view of the lake. Breakfast service was good with lots of options including a warm station. However some of the staff looked a little stressed.

Negatives - pillows too soft. Pool and spa area were just ok.

The grounds are beautiful! A big hotel but feels very spacious and you don’t feel like you are on top of other guest. Boutique feeling!

Beautiful. Close to church with beautiful church bells, quiet area, close to the town.

The view of the room is amazing. the spa is not thaat big but it has 2 different sauna and a relaxing room, also a swimming pool on the side and some massage and other services with additional costs. It was my boyfriend's birthday and they gave us a Proseco bottle. They picked us up and took us to the train station, which is also quite close. Lastly the breakfast was delicious and the staff was very nice. Extra: they have a special bike garage for storing your bike :)

The grotto was a fantastic addition. We had beautiful breakfasts on the terrace and live music and drinks at night. While our room balcony had an amazing view, I was disappointed only that the restaurant, bar and terrace didn’t have a view of the lake.
