Great location and fairly modern, breakfast was great- toast, jam, eggs and fruit. Elevator makes getting to higher floors easy. The bathroom was outside the dorm which I prefer. The staff were kind, although did not speak English we managed to communicate and they were helpful.

The place could do with a good clean. It seems maybe they do this once a week? It was pretty dirty in the bathrooms on the floors and down the sides of the bunks :) nothing crazy! But something to improve on. Unfortunately I was also placed in a dorm where there were a double bed bunk, occupied by a couple making ‘noises’ all night which made me uncomfortable (but this is not the hostels fault) something to keep in mind that there are double bunks! Which may be lovely for couples but it’s polite to keep others in mind and not have sex in the dorm.

- Very good location. Very close to MRT station, and very close to night market. - The whole hostel is quite new and pretty in general. - Very good breakfast. Besides toast bread, they also provide salad, ham, cheese.

- The toilet and the shower room are not really that clean. - The upper bed is pretty high and there is no handle, so it is a bit difficult to get up and down. - You can leave your baggage at the common area. There is a bit of risk where people can just come into the hostel and simply take the baggage away.

The location the, facilities and the staff are all fantastic. The Hostel is a 3 minute walk from the next Metro station and 15 minute walk to the mainstation. The bathrooms are always clean and the beds are super comfortable. The staff is mostly fluent in English and will help you out as well as possible. Compared to other hostels in Kaohsiung, this is definitely the best choice.

You have to wake up very early for breakfast and they don't have a dryer for your laundry.

An exceptional and delicious breakfast was made and serve from 7am -9am which included fresh made eggs salad, bread, fresh lettuce, fresh made pitchers of orange juice and tea, orange slices, slices of ham and cheese, peanut butter and jelly, real plates and silverware and fresh ground coffee and expresso maker. It was the best hostel I have stayed at in all of Taiwan where I have been visit for the past 4 weeks. And only 377 TWD.

the rug beneath the large banquet table needs to be throw out or replaced.

I love Chitow Hostel. Location is perfect near the wonderful and unique Formosa Boulevard station and Liouhe Night Market. Rooms and showers are very clean, bed is comfortable . Breakfast is included and is delicious!! Quality price is the best accommodation in Kaohsiung. I really thank you to Elizabeth and Cynthia to be very welcoming, helpful and your tips about Kaohsiung and Taiwan 🇹🇼 I recommend Chitow Hostel to everyone, I would come back any time here!!!

Really clean, felt like it was very private with the layout of the room. We stayed in a female dorm and the security was great (need a key card to access everything) and there is a lounge near the room which we used and we’re grateful for. Able to leave luggage after check out and they have a washing machine and dryer which was very useful (they can provide washing detergent at the desk for small fee and we bought fabric softener sachet from 7/11. Would stay again.

Very clean and quiet location. But still a very easily accessible location. The staff are very friendly too. When one guest asked about a Taiwan snack that he wasn't able to find, so the staff went out to get it for him right away. Some of the guests are also returning guests, can see how much they enjoy their stay here. One of the more social hostels that I have been in Taiwan so far, with the free breakfast, there was an effort to get people together.

The bed is comfy, have own locker, one room can have 6 roommates inclusively, common area at first floor and sandwiches are provided as breakfast. Bed light is provided, curtain as well. nearby has a lot of 7-11 and Telco shops so you can get your SIM card if you are here and required numbers+data. The person incharge(s) are friendly enough to recommend where to visit, what can be found nearby.

From Kaoshiung airport to here during midnight, cabbing coated 440 twd.(little far) Towel is not provided you have to buy it at counter. Toilet can get smelly when it is peak period(Fri Sat). The shower pipe is positioned low and the control of hot/cold water is somehow strange and unpredictable.(second floor toilet water pressure/amount is low and small, third floor is better!)

The hostel is clean and look nice. They offered simple but free breakfast. The staff was really helpful and extremely nice. The lobby is a nice place to hang out where you can do homework, relax, or just hang with friends.

We had a bunk double bed in a dorm room, and unfortunately the bed was two short for me. I was too tall to fit within the walls that surrounds the bed, which made my stay extremely uncomfortable.

Very nice location and the most comfortable bed I slept in in Taiwan! The mattress is thick and soft, perfect. There was enough space in the bed and around. Staff was nice and breakfast simple but all good.

The girls toilet smelled very bad. They were cleaning but it remained. And the upper bunk beds are really high, didn’t bother me but you should know.
