If you can get past the dingy alleys of XMD, this little hotel is a wonderful stop and stay simply on account of its superb location. The staff were friendly and helpful and it has enough facilities for a very comfortable stay. It was our base for our exploration of Taipei and the access to the MRT station was just so very useful.

That we had to get through an alley to reach the main location. But that's not really the fault of the facility since XMD is all more or less made up of alley ways

The location of the hotel is really perfect as it is just a few minutes away from the nearest bus and train stations. You can seamlessly go to the hotel straight from the airport without any difficulty. There are also lots of Michelin rated food shops downstairs, and Ximending night market is just a few steps away so in terms of accessibility this is perfect. The housekeeping staff arranges your hotel everyday and restocks shampoos and toothbrushes. The hotel also has a microwave, fridge and washing machine in case you may need one. The staff also gave us free ice cream when we checked in! Really perfect place to stay in Taipei!

Staff are polite and helpful; room & bathroom really clean; have affordable self service laundry area; convenient (walking distance from MRT and right at the center of Xi Men Ding)

So far is still ok for me, I didn’t have unpleasant experience. Just the first sight and feeling when reach is the entrance at the back alley and seems anyone can go up from the lift, but after all every floor have to enter with card access after come out from lift, so seems still ok.

Door to the rooms has a gap to the floor, therefore it is not soundproof & can hear all noises along the corridor.

The location is convenient. Right in the heart of Ximending and near Ximen train station. Clean hotel with basic facilities. For budget travelling it is a good hotel to stay in. The welcome ice cream is super good and very welcoming even during cold weather. Staff are helpful.

It is in a small lane in Ximending, not along a road. May easily missed the lane. We booked 3 rooms. 2 of the rooms have very small toilet with not much table space for toiletries. The lobby is at 2nd level. No early or late check out is allowed. NTW100 per hour for early check in or check out.

It's in the heart of Ximendeng. Everything is just a stone throw away from the hotel.

This is a top quality budget hotel right in the heart of Taipei. The location couldn't be bettered to reach the main central sights and shopping areas. Excellent staff and comfortable room. It is also very quiet despite being so central. They very kindly let me check in early, which was wonderful since I'd arrived from a long flight and was on a stopover to another long flight. The room had a small balcony which was a nice bonus. I only had a brief stopover in Taipei, but thanks to this hotel's kind staff and excellent location I got to enjoy enough time in Taipei to know that I'll return again some day and I will use this hotel again. It is a budget hotel, so don't expect anything luxurious, but for travelers with simple needs like myself, it is perfect.

A safe would have been good to have in the room but Taipei seems a very safe city, so it wasn't an issue for my short stay.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hatago+ The Alley Hotel. The prime location near Ximending made it incredibly convenient for exploring. The bathroom, equipped with a Japanese-style toilet, added a touch of comfort. The exemplary room service, providing disposable toothbrushes and daily bottled water, exceeded expectations. The delightful inclusion of free ice cream was a pleasant surprise. The individual keycards for each person in the group eliminated the need for constant keycard borrowing. The 24-hour front desk was a crucial amenity, contributing to a seamless experience. I highly recommend Hatago+ and look forward to returning soon.

While I didn't have major dislikes during my stay at Hatago+ The Alley Hotel, I suggest adding signage in front of pasta bar or in the main street of Ximending, aiding guests in locating it amid the alleys. Additionally, a minor issue with the air conditioning unit was promptly addressed, and the staff even provided a dehumidifier for extra comfort. While not a major concern, these improvements could enhance the overall guest experience. I appreciate the efforts to ensure guest comfort and look forward to future stays with potential enhancements.

Great location in the shopping district of ximending, as it is located in the alley, you get to also enjoy the quietness. 711 is just at the corner when your turn right after exiting the hotel, and there are food shops at your doorsteps. On the left, there is the famous soy bean drink shop and many massage shop. Room is decent sized, clean and cosy. There's is a balcony in our room choice. All basic necessities are provided and the shower shampoo gel and conditioner are of great quality, they smell fabulous and make my hair feels good. The bed and pillows were so comfortable i had the best sleep during our 3 nights stay. Staff are friendly and helpful. They speak good English so there is no issue in communication. There's also a complimentary icecream coupon when you check in. Prices are not expensive for the location and quality of the room. Highly recommended!

As it is tucked in an alley, it was a little difficult to locate the hotel when we first arrived. However, once we found it and recognized the 711 and the restaurant outside the alley we had no problem finding our way back anymore.

The location was in an alley off Ximending which was very convenient. A few steps and you're out in the hustle and bustle of Ximending. There were loads of food places around. The ease of getting to Ximen MRT station was also a plus point for this hotel. The room was sound proof so it was nice and quiet but the view was nothing to be excited about as the window faces the back of the surrounding buildings. We got a small tub of ice cream each for free, which was nice and they let us keep our luggage at the check-in lobby when we arrived too early for check-in.

It is overpriced and the view from the window was not good.
