Very good location from Ximen. Not too crowded yet not too quiet. Closer to the main street and easier to get to MRT. The room was quite clean but it's darker tone make it harder to see...

-Air-conditioner was too cold! -I saw that we could get washlet toilet but they changed to normal toilet make me sad a little -Too few hangers even in the bathrooms

The solo room is very good value for the stay. The location is excellent with good connections and lively streets near by

The only slightly negative side was the shower of the solo room. It could use a shower curtain or sonething to block the water from making the rest of the bathroom wet.

Neat business hotel. All the basics are good, service was very attentive. We had to change rooms due to different bookings and they made sure it went smoothly - information was shared clearly between the different front office staff. Location was also very good, right at the edge of Ximending (so just outside a very busy area). Well served by public transport. Well served by all sort of eateries from $ to $$$ (there's a very nice hot pot restaurant round the corner)

Cleanliness inside main lift could have been easily made better

The hotel offers excellent value pity there is not breakfast facility but the room was clean staff were very helpful depite language barriers, the location is superb and was very safe to walk around at night I would recommend this to anyone who wants value and comfort. I would like to add the toilet was amazing heated with so many functions quite a bit of technology. The bed was very comfortable when I asked for more water they were so kind to give me more bottles, I misplaced my key in the near by 7 and 11 but it was handed in so did not have to pay the 100 dollars fine this is a testiment to the honesty of people and Taiwan and the staff who soon notified me. The room was cleaned daily and the house keeper was very helpful making my bed and changing my sheets daily. The staff always were very personal like an old fashioned family run hotel unlike a big chain I really liked the personal vibe I am a vegitarian and they guided me to several restaurants with excellent choices. This is not a flash hotel more like an understated gem that will not disappoint.

No breakfast also thought you tube and Netflix would have been good but thats minor, never liked the twin matresses joined together to make a double kept of falling in the gap lol, but the matress was comfortable compred to more expensive hotels. Really compared to what can be paid in that area I should not really complain its a great place to stay.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Wonstar Hotel (Ximending) during my 3 nights December stay and couldn’t be more impressed with my experience. It was a rainy day in Taipei the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming and attentive, guiding on check-in effortless. The first impression when stepped in Wonstar hotel itself was sleek clean and a modern decoration. My single hotel room was spotless and neat. I particularly appreciated the housekeeping aunty who was friendly and courteous when I asked her for the time she will come in for housekeeping the following day. The distance walking to Ximending was a stone throw away, crossing a traffic with lots of local eateries from day to night time. I took the public bus of 45mins journey located opposite the hotel to Jiufen. Foot and body massage salon is just a minute walking distance from hotel. MRT Ximending station was just 3mins walk from hotel. I had absolute no trouble getting around, the area was safe and enjoyable to explore. On the day I left, Ms Theresa, the hotel staff helped me with guiding the Uber drive to the right location to pick me up. My overall stay at Wonstar Hotel (Ximending at Wanhua district) was fantastic and highly recommend it to anyone who are visiting Taipei. I’m already looking forward to my next visit! Thank you to the team at Wonstar Hotel for making my stay so memorable.

The hotel is close to the nearest train station and even nearer to the usual stores and tourist spots. Staff was very helpful especially during our check-in. The room is spacious, with strong wifi and many outlets to charge our gadgets and electronics. The bathroom was also clean, and had plenty of space to store our toiletries.

Check-in time was a bit too late at 3pm. Inside the room, the window was a bit small and the pillows were too hard and chunky, which could be uncomfortable to the neck area. The water takes a while as well to heat up when taking a shower.

The staff were always very polite and courteous. The check-in machine was clear and simple. The room was well soundproofed and the toilet with the heated seat and bidet was a great added bonus. The location is also very good, easily walkable from Taipei Main Station, as well as the busy Ximen neighbourhood.

The bedding, towels and toilet were good, but the floors, surfaces and sink area were not particularly clean, certainly not as high as the rating indicated (as of Dec 2024). Not a deal breaker, but I did feel the need to wipe them down.

The location was the best. Not exactly in the busy streets of Ximending, and best to avoid the noisy crowd and cars. The staff are really friendly. Thanks to Lee for greeting me on my birthday. And to Kuma who assisted me in the error of my airport pickup time. I am so thankful and happy during my short stay. I will be glad to come back again in Wonstar! 💯

The bed/mattress is in the floor. Might be hard for people with disability or old people. Haha! They should for the bigger rooms I guess.

A hotel I didn’t expect to be THIS good. Staffs were very helpful. Room is in a good shape in terms of both size and cleanliness. It’s right next to Ximending so you can grab everything easily. Metro stations are not far. Taipei Main Station is just 10 - 20 mins walk so you can go to the airport easily. A lot of proper massage shops are just across the main road so you can get relaxed after a whole day walk. Going to Jiufeng is just a bus ride, no transit needed. Highly recommend this hotel and thank you all the staffs for giving me a good stay in Taipei
