I really liked the location. You can walk from Taipei Main Station to the hotel, don't really need to take a cab or uber. Ximending and Dihua street are both just an easy walk away, nice for sightseeing. Many eateries and shops around. The staff were nice at the hotel. The room was very spacious and the bathroom had a hot tub with massage/jet function, it was amazing!

Overall the hotel is a bit outdated, but one could argue it's "classic elegance". What really irked me was the exit sign inside the room. It's way too bright! I needed to use eye covers to be able to sleep. I understand it's a safety requirement and a feature, but it doesn't have to be so bright. It was like trying sleeping in a well-lit room, equivalent of a 60W light. The fridge was too loud, but I was able to unplug it for the night. The breakfast is not worth it, just don't pay for it, go outside and buy something fresh.

During our entire stay, the staff were all very pleasant and very helpful. We were fortunate to be given a nice room on a high floor. Room was well fitted out in a traditional style with good quality, although a little dated, There was even a jacuzzi in the bathroom! A full buffet breakfast but mainly cater for local taste was served in their restaurant in the adjacent block. Location was very convenient, not only for the Taipei main station & the Airport MRT but also a night market and a number of restaurants. Their shuttle bus was very useful We enjoyed it so much we actually rebooked the exact same room for our next stopover in Taipei

The rooms and furniture are of good quality but looking a little tired. Could do with a bit of a makeover. More international food included in the breakfast buffet will be nice.

The hotel is situated near MRT station and allowed us to store our luggages.

The hotel overcharged us for the shuttle. We requested the hotel to provide a shuttle to the hotel when we arrived at Taipei on our first day. The hotel charged us NTD2,300. We agreed to pay this charge because we did not have time to do a research. When we inquired the shuttle to the airport on our last day in Taipei, the hotel quoted us NTD2,100. Based on our research, a taxi van normally charges NTD1,500-1,800 from downtown to airport. We found our own taxi to airport from the hotel at much cheaper price.

Value for money this is by far one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in throughout the years. Service was exceptional which is fully aligned with Taiwanese hospitality. Hotel had a huge shower stall and a bath! Location was close to MRT and amenities such as a laundromat around the corner and 7 Eleven and Family Mart which offers EasyCard top up or ATM. The hotel room has all kinds of surprises such as tea set and a digital scale among its standard offerings. Breakfast is included and has a good selection. Truly a gem! I would stay here again! 👍

Friendly staff. Very comfortable bed. I like their jet tub. Breakfast was not bad. Best value for the price in comparison with the other hotels that I booked before

The location of the showerhead above the jet tub is kind of weird. It took me some time to adjust myself to use it properly. It was not very convenient when you had to go to another building to have breakfast.

good location to enjoy city center of taipei. located between TPE main staion and old district of diwhajie, and night market. breakfast was simple and delicious. good enough to start the day. can walk to tpe station, but also could request shuttle service(free) to MRT station. hotel was Old and antique and we liked it.

there was wide bath in the bathroom. when we turn on the bubble. some black rust came out from the bubble hole. but staff was very nice to fix that problems.

The rooms are nice with a nice functional bathtub. It's clean with a nice lobby and a buffet for breakfast. The staff was pleasant

I hear my neighbors until very late at night from the locked door that can link 2 rooms. So the room is soundproof but not from your neighbor's room. An iron could have been a nice addition to the room. The hotel is a little bit too far from the MRT stations by foot.

Location: 10-15mins walk to at least 3 different metro stations (Main, Zhongshan and Beimen) and nearby bus stops giving many public transport options. We didn't opt for the hotel breakfast after reading the reviews here and that worked out in our favor as the hotel is very close to Dihua St. with loads of food options, and a bunch of supermarkets nearby. Ningxia Night Market is just a 5 min walk away which is fantastic. Room was comfy and well-made daily by housekeeping. Appreciated the daily top-up of bottled water, tea and coffee. Bathroom was more spacious than expected, did not have time to try the jacuzzi though.

We arrived earlier than expected in the mid-morning and the early check-in cost for just a few hours before was very high - close enough to a normal night's stay! Fortunately, leaving luggage at the reception was not charged.

Great location. Very easy to find. 10 mins walk from Taipei Main Station. Beimen MRT is around 8 mins. Buses aplenty too. The place is full of culture and history. Yongle market, night market & street food. Great facilities. Staff refills water. There's a jacuzzi in the bathroom.

Soundproof needs work.

Jacuzzi in the bathroom which relaxes our bodies after a day out, good comfortable mattress and pillows which enable a good night's sleep

The lights in the bathroom room when switched on during the night is visible to those sleeping as the blinds for the bathroom glass separating it from the room cannot block off the light
