Location was excellent. Everything iconic about taiwanese food can be found right downstairs the hotel. Cab stand is directly in front of the hotel too. Staff always greeted us with a smile regardless the time of day, always very happy to lend a helping hand and wish us a good day. When they noticed our hands were full from carrying our child and holding bags, they would take the initiative to assist us with the elevator and tap us in. Very accommodating to all requests and eager to help. Breakfast spread was small but delicious. Overall would recommend.

Room was a lot smaller than appeared in photos, and therefore it feels like the room rate wasn't of good value. When asked, they said that it was the largest room that was available in the hotel. This is the first time we are in a hotel where the shower and toilet were within the room itself instead of a separate area / room.

Service was exceptional as the staff were friendly and eager to serve. One of the staff even made a dash from the main door after greeting us to pressing the lift. Location was very good as well. It was right outside the train station and 2 minutes walk to Ximending area. Hotel provides unlimited bottled water supply. The breakfast spread was sufficient, though the streets of Taipei would have definitely better breakfast to offer.

Room was a little smaller than expected and not as sound proofed as we could hear our neighbor's door. Also the bed was very hard and pillows are a little too flat that we needed to request for more pillows.

I am pleased to share my review of the Westgate Hotel. My recent stay was an excellent experience, where the service level was exceptional in every way. The family room provided ample space for my family's comfort and was very clean throughout our stay. The room's sound insulation was particularly noteworthy, as we hardly heard any road noise or sound from outside the room. Furthermore, the hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction was evident when we had to check out early due to an early morning flight. The hotel kindly prepared three delicious breakfast items for us to bring along and enjoy on the go. This small but thoughtful gesture went above and beyond our expectations and left us with a positive impression. In addition to its exceptional service, the Westgate Hotel's location is also noteworthy. It is conveniently situated next to the train station, making it easy to access various parts of the city. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an exceptional stay in a fantastic location.

Westgate Hotel is like a 2nd home whenever I travel to Taipei for work or leisure. Excellent location just next to Ximending station, shopping and eating places. Service is good and staff are friendly - one of them went the extra mile to call the local banks to enquire if they accept SGD for currency exchange so that I do not have to make a wasted trip (even though the hotel offers currency exchange services but the rate is not as good, and there is a daily cap). Love the breakfast too, especially the porridge and toppings. Room is clean and comfortable with free WIFI. Sanitizers are available within hotel - inside lifts, reception.

The hotel has a super ideal location (right next to Ximen station and Ximending) and superb service from the staff. Biggest thank you to all the staff who are very attentive to guests and give out best advices!

Unlike my last stay during last year, some rooms have slight odors that are most likely caused by high moisture, so perhaps an upgrade on ventilation or demoisturizing system would be greatly appreciated.

It should hold as a 5 star hotel, beautiful design and artwork. Rooms are beautifully designed & maintained. Comfy bed, pillows & very soundproof that is so important for a super light sleeper. Excellent & professional front desk, dutifully arrange our airport transfer the moment we checked in. We can’t complain of its location, prime and within reach.

They must allow late check out, 11am is too early. We could not freshen up before we leave for airport.

Clean, comfortable, friendly... seems to be standard for hotels in Taiwan. Westgate is certainly above standard. Other than great location, the aroma in the hotel (room, corridor, lobby) is a highlight. Everytime we come back to hotel (especially outside temperature is above 30 degreeC), we are first greeted by the aroma. We like the design of separating the shower/toilet/ wash basin.

Location was great, right ouside the ximen walking district and the train station exit. . Breakfast spread was great with both asian and western styles of breakfast. The staff also were very courteous, never failing to greet guests whenever they returned to the hotel past the main doors.

Bed was a tad too soft and not as firm as i would have liked, size of toilet was a little cramped.

The location is excellent. Just around the corner of Ximen station. The staffs are very friendly and helpful!

The pillows are too soft for us but they were very nice to give us extra pillows to stack up. There were some hiccups for the aircon controller in our room but they were efficient in fixing it.

Hotel Breakfast was great with wide selections. Location is also perfect, just less than 3 mins walk away from Ximen station. Like that there is washing machine and dryer available for use.

No toilet at gym, business centre floor which requires you to return to your room.
