Very clean and very near to the train station. The onsen provided is big enough for 3-4 ppl The staff at restaurant will ask us for feedback about the food. Have events related to new year such as 年越しそば and new year champagne .

Have handicraft event for making Japanese new year flower wreath for free. But we were told because we checked in on 31st Dec we cant have it and were given to make a Xmas deco instead. なんか どこかちょっとおかしい。Had new year soba and champagne but the deco was Xmas deco😅. In my opinion It would have been perfect if it was new year wreath instead of the Xmas deco . it was free anyway so I guess we shouldn’t be complaining ??

Staff was friendly and very helpful, whether it's the front line staff, restaurant or cleaning or games room or even the security and parking staff. Breakfast was good and comes with nice views. Location is a short walk to the jiaoxi station.

The hotel air conditioning was quite cold (lobby, room walkways), tried to adjust the hotel room temperature but unsuccessful. The set dinner was too much of a big portion (good for big eaters though), but overall the food is nice and restaurant staff are attentive (helped to package certain portions). Was hoping to get a bigger room like last year as stayed for a few nights this time but did not get the bigger one unfortunately.

Their staff were very friendly, thoughtful & helpful. Always with a bright smile. Service was excellent!!!Thankful and lucky for the free upgrade of room. It was my first visit and I will definitely be back if I visit Yilan again. Room was very clean and spacious. Bed was comfy!! There are free snacks and drinks too. Rooms slipper are SUPER comfy, it is made in good quality. Close to 7-11 and other stores. Few mins of walking distance. Nearby bus stations too!

Perhaps can consider building shelters for drop off/pick up point and smoking corner. It will be useful for raining days. But nonetheless, umbrella are provided. Staff will come out to shelter you with umbrella when they see you. So all are good!

We really liked the service of the hotel staff. The room wasn't too big, but it was just comfortable for 2 nights stay. The private onsen bath was a highlight of the hotel! Very short walk (3mins) to the train station.

There were 5 different breakfast sets that you could choose from and some ala carte items (not much selection- cereal, taiwanese porridge and toast). Wished there was a bit more in the ala carte section as not all the breakfast sets were suitable; but this is subjective!

We had a lovely stay at the beautiful Yamagata Kaku hotel. The room was spacious, comfortable, and has everything we needed. The private onsen in the room was lovely, and we loved the fact that they provide free mini bar, including some beer and non-alcoholic drinks in the fridge, which is rare as most hotels will ask you to pay. The location is awesome, very close to Jiaoxi Train Station and the main streets, making food hunting and travelling super easy. There are also some car rental shops around, and we were lucky to be able to book a car on the day. I also got to use the public naked onsen facility on 2nd floor the next morning, and I was the only person using it! It was very similar to the one you'll see in Japan. Everything was built close to the Japanese standard, so if you ever miss using the onsen facility but can't make a trip to Japan, this is a nice alternative. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to any couples wanting a romantic trip.

Breakfast can be improved. I like how they provide set menu instead of buffet, but the Japanese set I ordered was below my expectation. It is more Taiwanese than Japanese. It's still ok though, not a deal breaker.

Location is great since very close to JiaoXi Station and easy to travel around. Hot spring water is supplied to room and can enjoy private time in a huge bath tub. Very generous with in room complimentary drinks and snacks. Very details and taking care need of children too.

Breakfast portion (main) is little too big and certain dishes was not warm/hot enough (like salmon dish). Otherwise very generous on entry, drinks, fruits and side dishes.

Clean, comfortable, baby-friendly hotel. Loved the dry sauna, hot spring facilities, and in-room tub. Room had a large closet area that was perfect for setting up the crib and diaper-changing area.

Breakfast was fine but not exceptional. Wish game room were opened earlier and decorated better with more warmth.

Amazing service from the moment we arrive to the time we leave. Excellent location, walking distance to food street and amenities. Superb room amenities. Would be nice if there's a way to purchase the yukata. Arrived tired with aching muscles after days of hiking, and left feeling totally relaxed. Will be back!

Nothing, everything was amazing!

We had a superb experience here. Our room was very comfortable, nicely decorated, and the bathtub with a view was very nice. Every single staff member we encountered was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the gym and DIY activity provided by the hotel with our kid. Breakfast was very satisfying. Best of all was the public onsen, which was large, clean, and provided free bottled water and sports drinks. Really great value for the price, will definitely stay here again.

The roads outside the hotel are not exactly pedestrian-friendly, so have to be very careful when you venture outside the hotel.

Perfect getaway from city living, clean air, slow pace and relaxing. Room was huge for 2 pax and love the in room onsen. Hotel staff were very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was interesting and yummy. A chance to try local fusion breakfast Access to hotel is just 5mins walk from Jiaoxi train station.

Price is on the higher end. But considering the facilities and room size is worth it. Hopefully during peak season it won't go too high.
