The operations / management leads are excellent. They seem to have strong hospitality experience. I think the staff are working miracles in a property that needs upgrades. Upgrades should be provided to make their lives easier, too.

Need more humidity control in the room. Beautiful property but probably needs extensive HVAC upgrades. I think it impacts staff, too. Perhaps add mounted fans in the hallways, since they are open air. Laundry service was prompt and they returned all items, but they should switch to using pencil when marking their check sheet. I had several garments ruined from the blue ink of a pen. I wasn’t charged for the cleaning of those items, but it’s not the worth of destroyed garment. Not all clothes were cleaned fully, I ended up washing select items at the next destination. Flies. More fans (or something) to deter the flies from circling next to nice lounge areas.

Amazing views! Delicious breakfast! After two days of traveling it was nice to finally kick back in a nice comfortable space! 10/10 on the breakfast! Goodluck,Fulaha and Alphonse were amazing during the breakfast service! Very attentive and hospitable! Always pleasant and smiling!

They accidentally charged me for an airport transfer. I took an Uber to hotel because I asked about the transfer and they replied two days after I was already at the hotel. It was reversed however. The tv is quite far from the bed and there was this out of placed beam right in front the bed.

Likes: friendly staff, good food, very clean, spacious room, lots of hot and cold options at breakfast (cereal, crepes, omelettes) but quite expensive. Restaurant on site served a variety of food which was very tasty: lobster, pizza, curries. Beach was very close but not the greatest (sand needs a clean). I felt very safe-lots of security and staff bodies. The gardens were stunning and grounds were very clean. Close to airport (download Bolt for cheap taxi). Hot shower and good powerful water.

Dislikes: card payments can be a faff, eg. We were charged twice for lunch. One member of staff said the accounts team would refund in 24 hours. Another person said 48 hrs... the accounts team would automatically refund the double payment which of course they did not. So I emailed after we checked out and a refund was eventually offered. I would prefer a door for the toilet, rather than a sliding shutter. Toiletries were a bit grimy and old and sink was blocked. Our door was broken but the site team fixed within 30 mins. All that being said, I would definitely return.

We already stayed a few times there and the experience is always the same: this is not a top hotel, but they have an atmosphere that even 5-star hotels can't match. I can't pinpoint it, but we always feel so very much at home there, very well cared for and, overall, it makes you feel good. it is the reason we keep coming back. Besides, rooms are nice, service excellent, food very good. and the location is just unbeatable. we also like the fact that this is a quiet hotel, which reallow allows us to relax and rest.

not really anything...

This is already the second time we stayed at this hotel. It is hard to pinpoint what exactly it is that makes this hotel such a great experience. The breakfast and food are ok, but not special. But the friendly staff, personal touch, location: all of it makes this a very charming place, the right place to spend a few days to relax. We also like the fact that this is a very quiet place, they trun off all noise at 11pm. The area offers a plethora of really great restaurants and cafes.

the plastic seat cushions on all outdoor seating... it sticks to your skin and is very hot in the sun.

the interior and the food

the pool is small and the service lacked. they were charging me for items i didn’t consume and saying that they will offer it next day but for now they can’t removed as the management i at the meeting, they were bringing wrong wine, room service arrived cold, i asked for vegetarian breakfast for the last day of my stay and received sausages. sat on the beach, no one was coming to collect orders. asked for nuts as a snack waited almost one hour. definitely room for improvement

I loved the stay here, I find it very peaceful and the rooms are cozy, staff are friendly esp grayson, lulu, salma, xaiver, alex, and Justin. Very welcoming smiling. Even the guards are very helpful. This place makes people feel more comfortable and gives a sense of peace. The cool ocean blue walk, the beaches are clean.

I would say that the room I got the staff was cleaning at night outside so I could hear someone sweeping which kinda put me off. But other than that things were really awesome.

At check-in, we were greeted with a smile and a refreshing juice. Room was spacious, well-furnished (including a comfortable bed and large desk). Large shower/WC area. Beautiful beach view from the window. Breakfast included a broad variety of options for all tastes. Among else, we loved the coconut water, served in a real 'madafu' coconut. Staff was amazing, always helpful and with a warm smile, so characteristic of the lovely people of Tanzania.

Breakfast is great as well as the location. Very friendly staff. Free shuttle is also great.

Noise during my stay: Noisy music during evening - playing happy birthday to you many times - bad quality of music and sound - annoying when eating and also disturbing "peace in the room". Maintenance work in the morning very noisy - nearly impossible to be in the room, however it became better when informing staff about it.

very good location , by the sea , was pleasant

the reception looked like it was a temporary one , out in the open and very poorly made , made the hotel seem run down , thankfully the rooms and the rest of the hotel was good . the reception staff on check in was very unwilling and unpleasant to deal with . we had booked 4 rooms , 2 rooms were suites and 2 were kings we asked for one of the suites to be added an extra bed , it was almost midnight when we checked in . first the check in staff wanted to charge me 30$ to which I refused , then he was like till tomorrow as no cleaning staff , I ended up just cancelling one suite and booking a normal twin room . im sure they would have made more money by being more welcoming to guests .
