Hosts they are great

Everything was great, only bit would that there air-con in the upper bedroom but not in the lower lounge area. It was so hot you couldn’t stay down there for long so either had to go out or sit in the bedroom to cool off. There was a fan but the space is so open it didn’t help at all. We had read previous reviews so we’re aware of this & it didn’t spoil our stay and everything else was great.

Nice price, location, swimming pool, not a lot of people, small and cozy hotel. Friendly owner and neighbors. Some drinks could be served near reception! Also safe box inside.

Only the bedroom has a conditioner, other rooms are so hot at the end of the day, it feels much hotter than outside, the owner said he should save money on electricity and it allows reducing room price, it's ok for me)

The view from the location was great and the place was very calm. It does take 30min to walk to the beach, but we didn't mind as it was nice and calm. The facilities were very clean and the staff was there if you had any questions or wanted to book a tour.

The apartment is a loft type. The top part where the bedroom is great, has closed doors and nice AC. However the bottom part gets incredibly hot as there is no ac there and the sun heats it up during the day. It gets so hot you simply can't be there. Also the place has a mini kitchen, but there are no plates or knives ot anything like that for simple use.

The owners are super nice and helpful with everything. They can book tours or airport transfers also. I got sunburned one day and they gave me something to help with that. The place is nice and quiet and each room has a bedroom upstairs and a bathroom downstairs. The pool is really nice and also the rooms have a cool mountain view (at which you can do rock climbing). Everything was clean. It's as the other reviews have said that there is AC in the bedroom but not in the bottom portion. I was always out taking tours or exploring on my own so it didn't bother me.You will also have to walk up and down stairs to get from the bedroom to the bathroom so keep that in mind. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to others.

As the other reviews have said, the place is tucked away down a couple of back roads so you will have to walk 10-20 minutes to the main street. I don't mind walking so it was okay for me. The good thing is there were several good restaurants before the first intersection so you won't have to always walk far. This also turns into a bit of a positive because the place is very quiet at night and I got some of the best sleep on my trip here. One time I ended up taking a taxi from the beach back to here and it only cost 100 baht. So there are other options if you don't want to walk.

We loved our stay here! The house has such an interesting design and the bedroom was so comfortable and cosy. We loved all the windows in the house especially the one at the top of the stairs where you could see the mountains. The location is great, perfect backdrop of mountains behind the pool and only a short walk to the main road of Ao Nang. Very quiet around the property making it great to sleep at night. The owners are lovely and run the place themselves. Pat makes a great breakfast especially the banana pancakes and thai tea! Both owners are always happy to have a chat which we did at every breakfast and they offered some great tips about places we were going. Overall, a really lovely and peaceful stay.

Our best stay in Thailand here! Pat and Laurence were such great and kind hosts and always open for a chat. Very helpful in any way be it any advice for attractions, boat’s tour or transfers. The room was super nice, it had two floors in a modern style and a beautiful mountain view! We had every day breakfast which was good for a reasonable price! The pool was another plus which we enjoyed, especially after a long day outside. Highly recommending this place, can’t wait come back! 11/10 ;)

This place was wonderful. The room and the pool were great. Cleaning and fresh towels everyday. Most of the time we had the pool all to ourselves. The owner was the sweetest woman. She was very kind and so thoughtful (she made us a delicious mango smoothie which we drank by the pool). She also organised a private tour of the 4 islands for us which was exactly what we needed. And then booked us on the bus and ferry to koh samui.

Everything was perfect. We should have stayed longer

The room had comfortable beds, strong AC, hangars and shelves for clothes, a nice TV, a comfortable couch, a small fridge, and a shower with good water pressure. The pool is small but nice to have on hot afternoons and evenings. The owners are lovely.

We weren't expecting the steep flight of stairs to the bedroom. My husband and I are in our 50s and we began joking that we are officially too old for such a room.

Nice view.Nice spacious rooms. Nice to have the swimming pool during the warm days. Can rent a bike, have breakfast and do laundry there (a bit overpriced but convenient).

The lower room is like a sauna since it lacks A/C so don’t expect to use it beside as a storage room. Few times we did not have left water or toilet paper in our room. Room service every day for towels but no cleaning of the floor.

Aonang lodge is an absolute 10/10 in every aspect. The rooms are perfect, clean and the most comfortable bed and such a peaceful and beautiful view to wake up to every morning. The pool is great and a stunning view of the mountain. The owners Pat and Lawrence have a delicious menu you can order and it was perfectly fresh and amazing, especially the muesli fruit bowl and pancakes💯 Location is awesome, very quiet and walking distance to shops/restaurants or top it off and rent a bike through the lodge or on the Main Street. Pat and Lawrence made us feel extremely welcome and at home and couldn’t have been better. Thanks again for a perfect stay we will definitely be back🙂
