Really great location and lovely outside garden area which was quiet despite being so close to the action. Clean white linen sheets and nice set-up in the room. Clean shared bathrooms. Great air con! A must for Bangkok! Would stay here again.

All the rooms have holes in the wall for a fan, which means sound travels into the room from the corridor and other rooms. This is fine if your floor has respectable neighbours, if it doesn’t, then this is a problem. I’m looking at you person who watched TV on full volume until 3am! Luckily the air-con covers most of the noises.

I've slept at the Lampuhouse many times once in the past years. Even in the cheap rooms there is a nice comfortable accommodation.

An the disadvantage is that the window and ventilation of some of nicely cheep rooms is into the corridor and so some noisy guests can disturb your sleep. But what surprised me was that the staff is very noisy from early morning. Loud radios-hotel communication can wake you up very early. It is arrogant and ignorant. A paying guest should have the right to sleep at any time.

We had the most fabulous time at Lamphuhouse! The staff were fantastic, helpful with anything we needed. Very comfortable room, good beds, quiet and we loved the balcony to sit with coffee in the morning or a drink at night. The breakfast was fantastic, so peaceful sitting in the shade of the trees before exploring Bangkok. Lamphuhouse is situated perfectly at the heart of beautiful soi Rambuttri, so very easy to travel around, but without the noise. We loved our stay here, and will be back next year. Thank you Lamphuhouse and all staff, you looked after us so well.

Perfect area with everything and quiet at the same time. Very good hotel with friendly staff. The room is really nice with a comfortable bed, furniture, towel. It's nice and clean. It's a very good deal! The restaurant is also really good, with cheap prices. I will definitely come back. 🙂

It was very hot in the room (37 degrees outside in march so, normal then). Even with the fan, it's a bit difficult to stay inside the room during the afternoon if you want to nap. But it's ok by night with the fan. If you want to spend time in your room to relax, it's better to take one with ac if the outside temperatures are high.

The best location! Plenty of ferry and bus options to get about. ( 15 and 47 go to reclinig Buddah , just take pictures of local bus stops to easily find out which busses are near, super cheap!) Lots of lovely lanes to explore locally. Excellent room, yes firm bed but that's the norm, good pillows! great Air-conditioning and bathroom. Fabulous garden area for relaxing and can also get good meals, coffee etc. The quietest place i have stayed in my 4 weeks travelling around Thailand which is hard to believe as it's in the middle of so much happening around! Staff lovely and helpful. Wish I had stayed longer! Room to store luggage while you wait to go to next destination in my case S1 bus stop about 5 mins walk away back to airport. Forgot to take pictures of lovely room and great balcony but see local bus stop pictures instead!

The fact I have to leave!

As well as being a nice clean and quiet environment to relax in, staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend adding breakfast to your booking, it was delicious and well worth it! Great place to stay and would definitely stay there again. Best way to get there from BKK airport, take the airport train to Makkasan station, transfer to the MRT line. Take next train to Sam Yot station. Catch a taxi or Tuk Tuk to the hotel from the station. Make sure you are dropped at the right Lampuhouse!

Tuk Tuk drivers would take us to the wrong place whenever we would tell them what our hotel name was. There is more than one Lampuhouse in Banglamphu. It would be great if Lampuhouse provided some instructions in Thai to help tourists reach the hotel via Booking.com. Other than that, it was an excellent place to stay!

We liked everything about Lamphuhouse: great location near the Chao Phraya River and the Khaosan Road district, the very friendly and helpful staff available 24/7, the room and its amenities, the cleanliness of the room, hotel and grounds, the lovely and spacious courtyard with plants, trees and ample seating, the restaurant and restaurant staff and the overall amenities of the guesthouse such as large, efficient refrigerators available to guests, bathrooms on the ground floor and the excellent vibe thanks to the staff, the facilities and the other guests. We wholeheartedly recommend Lamphuhouse to travelers visiting Bangkok. We have a reservation for our last nights in Thailand in 1 month and look forward to returning to Lamphuhouse.

We found nothing to dislike.

This is the second time I have stayed here. I had two nights stopover on my way home after a big trip, and had been so happy last time that I stayed here again. In the five weeks I was away, this was the most comfortable bed I slept in, and the nicest linen. The location is really great - down a little alley and lovely and quiet with a nice garden to hang out in. As a female on my own, I felt very safe in this street and at the accommodation. I was up early in the morning and out late at night and always felt safe. I have also stayed at another hotel a few doors up, but I prefer Lamphu House because of it's relaxed atmosphere and the quietness. Breakfast was simple, but sufficient. The staff are nice and helpful. There is a little take one-leave one library which is always a bonus for me.

Location! Location! Location! The property is located on Khao San road. So if that's the vibe you are looking for, then this is a great place to stay. Despite it being on Khao San Road, it is neatly tucked away behind another building and hence is quite peaceful and quiet. The courtyard with a few trees is quite nice. Our room had a running balcony across two sides and it was nice to sit out there. The staff are quite friendly and helpful. There are a few books to read and games to play in case you want to hang out in the lobby. They have a spacious luggage holding room as well to stow away your luggage if needed. Quite a few restaurants nearby and the area comes alive at night with lot of eating options. We were 2 adults and 1 child and the room was quite spacious and coupled with the balcony, it was quite pleasant.

One does have to climb up the stairs. While there is a breakfast option in house, we didn't find it to have many options and skipped that. There is no storage/wardrobe option in the room. There is just an open rack on which you can hang your clothes. So it was a little inconvenient as we had to keep opening & closing our suitcases all the time.
