Great location and excellent service

Excellent location with walking distance from shopping malls and outdoor markets. We stayed at the 2 bedroom apartment, great space and super clean. The hotel overview the Lumphini park with very nice lake and garden view.

The lady at the Check-in lack the knowledge and basic hospitality standards. Check in wasn't that smooth or fast, they do offer you a nice welcome drink though and have a nice lobby waiting area, but after a long trip all we needed was getting the room fast. We arrived evening, restaurant close early evening so we ordered room service. The food was too spicy for the kids although we asked to keep it minimal spicy as possible. We are now half way through our trip in Thailand, its fair now to say that was the most expensive dinner we had during our trip yet the lowest taste and quality compared to the great restaurants we visited during our stay. I would recommend the hotel as an accommodation only but for sure not the food.

The hotel is located in a very well known road in Bangkok (Wireless) that accommodates many embassies such as American, Dutch, Vietnam, etc. and within a short distance to major shopping malls and food outlets. Also, the hotel provides a free shuttle to the nearest skytrain (BTS) stations every hour. The staff are professional, friendly and attentive to the guests' needs. My special request for a quiet room on a high floor was met and further I was offered an upgrade from a Junior Suite King to a One Bedroom Suite which was spacious, clean and overlooks a nice park. The kitchenette is well equipped with appliances and kitchenware which makes it very convenient for cooking and has a good supply of coffee, tea and drinking water bottles. This is definitely one of the top hotels I have stayed in Bangkok and would book the same again.

The only shortcoming of the hotel is the small size of its gym and the limited number of the exercise equipment, as well as the absence of a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.

Every person on staff made our stay so comfortable. We were asked how they could help us enjoy our stay and anytime we could think of something, they came through. It is a small residence-style hotel, so all of the accommodations are suites. We had a corner suite and the space and view were terrific. The bed was a little soft (for our taste) however the manager mentioned that they will be replacing mattresses this year. The decor was a little dated — still tasteful — and as we were leaving the movers began to remove the furniture in the lobby as they were in the process of being updated.🤗

Our ONLY (and I mean ONLY) discomfort was the walk to the BTS (Phroen Chit) was about 12 minutes, whereas other hotels that we were considering were closer. In Bangkoks heat, and with the traffic, which is always slow, one can notice these small things.

I liked the 2 bedrooms suite size, facilities, the view from the room. there are two bathrooms and washing machine. a good size living room and dining table. We booked a room without breakfast. however, the club coffee is 2 minute walk from the hotel.

we requested a late checkout when we booked the room and confirm it at the hotel when we checked in. however, the hotel called us at the check-out time to inform us the room is booked. this issue has upset me very much because we were out the hotel and had to cancel our plans for the day. However, the matter was settled at the end and we moved to another room.

I had an incredible stay at Oriental Residence Bangkok. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the impeccable cleanliness of the property and the warm, friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The service was truly exceptional — especially during a very frightening moment when an earthquake occurred. The staff went above and beyond, risking their own safety to ensure that every guest was evacuated safely and cared for throughout the situation. I honestly cannot thank them enough for their bravery and compassion. They made a difficult experience feel manageable and reassured all of us with their professionalism and kindness.

If I had to mention one small downside, it would be that the breakfast buffet felt a bit limited in variety. However, everything that was available was fresh and delicious, and the overall experience at the hotel more than made up for it. I would absolutely stay here again!

Almost everything except the comments below. Ambience was excellent. The room feels really rich yet comfortable. We loved the kitchenette and the bathroom. The location is quite conveniently located, making it easy for us to go around the city center from there. It also feels safe/secure since it's right next to the US Embassy.

Even though the stay was not for work, it would have been much better if the work desk was not placed too near the beds and that there were more chairs to use not just for dining but also for working. Also, the sofa was a bit too low in height for both eating and doing some work on the dining table. Lastly, it would have been better if the refrigerator was bigger in size since there is a kitchenette, which means you would be storing more food for reheating later.

The kitchenette was well-equipped, making it convenient to prepare milk or handle other needs for my child. The location was perfect—close to major malls and convenience stores—and felt safe for walking back and forth, even at night. The breakfast at Café Claire was a highlight; the food was delicious and memorable. Housekeeping was thorough, ensuring a comfortable and clean environment throughout our stay. I would absolutely stay here again and wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else. Highly recommend.

The hospitality at reception was truly 5-STAR! As we arrived with our 8-month old son, the front desk so kindly offered us an early check-in -- secondly, upgraded our 'Junior Suite' to a '1 Bedroom' with full kitchen, and provided a clean, quality baby cot with a soft blanket and pillow -- FANTASTIC! -- The reception staff, Mrs Mimie and Mrs Sing, were kind, professional, and attentive to our family needs -- EXCEPTIONAL HOSPITALITY!

No complaints whatsoever! We are well-traveled, and recognize a well-managed hotel when we find one.
