The resort was very clean, the gardens were very well maintained. The staff were so lovely. The food from the resort was good too. Gorgeous views from the hotel of the beach.

If you want to go swimming the beach is a bit rocky. But there are plenty of beaches in the area to visit so this wouldn't stop me going.

Wow, what a hidden gem! The Baan Thai Resort exceeded all our expectations. We were left speechless by the quality of the hospitality of the staff, grounds, food and our room. We were welcomed by a big smile from Mareena (front desk) fantastic home cooked meals from Mai and all your hospitality needs by Too -and Baanthai the cat. The resort grounds were manicured daily and the fit and finish to every well placed ornament complimented the feel. All rooms were surrounded by lush foliage and trees. There was nothing out of place. Every morning the staff decorated large bowls with fresh flowers and hand picked petals grown on site. The food offered was flavourful and made with a true home cooked feel. The rooms were immaculate, clean, and quiet. If you’re into a party atmosphere, it’s available down the beach, but this resort excels in a professional, quiet, relaxing stay. We would rate our experience a 12 out of 10 if we could

We tried to extend our stay, but they were booked. Absolutely nothing negative about this resort.

We were very lucky to have the place to ourselves during our stay. We loved the gardens, the room and the pool area but more than that we loved Baitong's cocktails! She was amazing throughout our stay, as was Lulu. They made us feel very special and were great fun. You can watch the sunsets from the beach and it's a short walk to some bars and restaurants. I don't think the pictures do it justice - it really is a beautiful place. Cha Thai (the little cat on site) was a wonderful little companion to have while we were there.

The pool wasn't clean when we arrived but this was sorted by day three. It's also worth noting that the drinks in the room fridge aren't complimentary - it may have been wrong for us to assume they were but there's no notice anywhere to suggest otherwise. The place is situated a little bit away from the livelier areas of Lanta so it might be worthwhile having scooters to get around. Taxis aren't readily available but it was low season so that could have played a part.

There are lots of villa style resorts on Lanta, but this is just a cut above. I think there are only maybe 15 rooms, and they have plenty of space. The staff are fantastic and the little villa rooms come with kitchens or without, each quite secluded. The pool looks small in the photos but its actually enough for a swim, and the layout is stylish and cleverly designed. The grounds are immaculate and the view is beautiful. There are NO noisy bars next door, so it is really quiet, but they will hire you a scooter for 250B a day and that gets you everywhere on the island if you want some noise. The breakfast is delicious. Early each morning the staff make these individual flower designs in a pot outside your room. Pitch perfect!

The beach looks lovely but it is rocky down there, so if you want to swim, bring rubber snorkel shoes, and that fixes it.

Beatiful tranquil haven in a quiet resort. The ground are beautiful, with constant care provided by friendly gardeners. Very comfortable, quiet villas which are thoroughly cleaned every day. The food is good at the resort but there are also lots of small eating opportunities a few minutes away along the beach. The resort itself is very peaceful but a livelier night life can be found by walkig up the beach a short way. The propriotors have been running the resort successfully for 10 years and they clearly know what they are doing! All the staff are extremely helpful and courteous, making our stay a relaxed experience. Trips, taxis etc can all be booked from reception and they are on hand of offer advice. We had a lovely time and hope to return.

The wifi was patchy, at quiet times it was ok but at popular times it often dropped out. This was frustrating as we enjoyed watching films in the evening after our meal.

This resort is the gem of Koh Lanta. The grounds are maintained beautifully with such attention to details that adds to the charm of the resort. Every morning fresh flowers are placed in patterns in pots filled with water. The pool is clean and maintained daily as it is enjoyed by all who stay at the resort. The buildings are maintained with the same attention. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast is delicious with a selection for everyone, and dining by the pool at night overlooking the ocean while watching the sunset is romantic. The staff are welcoming, gracious, thoughtful, and always have a smile on their faces when interacting with you. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Incredibly beautiful garden, like a tropical rainforest! Lots of butterflys, birds and a couple of comodo varaans in the area. Staff is friendly and helpful and the breakfast was tasty. Next door there was a family restaurant, Jeab's dining, which was amazing with the best thai food, we ate there many times. 7eleven is quite close and next to it there was a travel agency with good service.

We couldn't swim at the beach because there were rocks during low tide. We had to walk for a bit to the nearest swimming spot. Though there was a nice pool at the resort which was great!

The staff are so lovely here and make everything perfect. Great rooms and attention to detail. We felt very looked after and loved the flower arrangments every morning .

Beach is rocky so wear shoes to swim and you need to travel to go out. Transport us cheap and fast though. .

One of the best resorts I've ever stayed at, and at a very reasonable price. The pictures do not do this place justice. From the moment you walk through the front gates you are struck by the most incredibly well-kept and beautiful gardens, ponds and flowers. Staff are wonderful - they go above and beyond for all guests. There must be only 10-15 'villas' and they're all so well looked after. 10/10 clean 10/10 staff 10/10 breakfast 10/10 location (literally on the beach, almost a private section) 10/10 rooms Phenomenal few days here.

Nothing could be changed to improve Baan Thai outside of updating the pictures online - you are UNDERselling this place!

The resort is beautiful and so we'll looked after. The room was lovely and spacious and tye view from our beach front bungalow was fab. The resort is quiet and peaceful and you never have trouble getting a lounger by the pool or beach front. The team are wonderful and very friendly and couldn't fault anything in terms of the breakfast selection. The only slight downside to the resort is that the beach is rocky in the sea so not ideal for swimming. All in all we thoroughly recommend the resort and we would definitely return.
