Great hotel with beautiful design and layout on both the rooms and common areas, both indoor and the outdoor garden and pool areas, with the beach in front having amazing sand and crystal clear water. Breakfast was amazing with very high quality, but hot dishes were mostly the same every day and could have varied a bit more.

While beautifully designed the rooms were impractically laid out with lots of wasted space and not having any closet space or anywhere dedicated to spread out suitcases except on the floor. Also the hotel overstates the room sizes by a lot, including adding the private balcony area to the room size. The "40sqm" regular rooms are in reality only 28sqm + 8sqm balcony, while the "60sqm" superior rooms are only 43sqm + 8sqm balcony, so both are considerably smaller than claimed by the hotel.

The hotel is huge , the pool is very welcoming, the hotel is very beautiful and friendly A gem in the busy chaweng beach .

The breakfast needs an upgrade We don’t eat Asian food and the western food wasn’t that good and very low . There are flies everywhere it’s not nice to take food that 4 flies resting on it and it’s very easy to fix . Vegetables selection was very poor and didn’t look fresh . Cleanliness in the room - if it’s not extreme clean it’s not clean that needs an improvement.

The property itself, pools, garden and entire surroundings. The design of the restaurants, staff and amazing breakfast (both from location and quality point of view). The location was also really good, not to forget about the amazing beach (white sand and crystal clear water).

The rooms were to small, no space for unpacking your clothes or to put your bag (I had to keep it on the floor…). No proper cleaning in the bathroom. The pools were open from 7 am, the sunbeds were reserved a lot before, however the people reserving them started to come to the pool around 9-10 am (especially at Adults only pool). One morning we went to reserve at 6 am(!) and literally all sunbeds were already occupied. Not sure how?! Were guests reserving already the night before?! I believe the resort should take measurements from this point of view.

The breakfast and food in general was very good. The motivation of the staff was very high. Following people made our stay very good: Eytan, the food and beverage manager, Bao, the barkeeper, Paul, responsible for the pool area, Prae, Fon, Pop and Chompoo from the kids club. The hotel is very stylish. Also, Big the operation manager who was very helpful

- the beach, the sea is rough and 90% of the time the red flag warned us from entering. - overcrowded, the pool area is too overcrowded - the English skill level of some workers is not very good (but that is a known problem in Thailand)

Very organised, good access to all spots , modern , very well maintained , great & dedicated staff

Walls between rooms are not isolated enough so you can easily hear your neighbours

Centara Reserve at Koh Samui exceeded our expectations, standing out as the best hotel we've ever visited. The beauty, serenity, and immaculate cleanliness create an atmosphere of pure tranquility. The eco-style decor adds a tasteful touch to the overall experience. The personnel goes above and beyond, exceptionally welcoming and friendly, making us fall in love not just with the resort but with Koh Samui itself. The divine breakfasts, offering a wide range of cuisines and a la carte options, added to the delight. The hotel made our honeymoon exceptionally special with complimentary upgrades and personal touches. We absolutely love this place.

If you want to be on the main drag but not directly in the centre - this is perfect. On the south side of Chaweng beach which is a little quieter but still a walkable distance into the centre. This hotel does try to cater for everyone. I think this is the perfect place for a family with kids who want to splash out a little. If you're a couple, there are better places on the island that are more secluded and private, but you can still have a perfect time as long as you don't mind the kids/families splashing about and making a noise at the pool. The photos online really do look the place. If you are a couple, I'd recommend getting a larger room or one with a pool to get the full experience.

This is me really searching for 'bad points': - If you're a couple there are better places to go but if you want to be on Chaweng beach this is the place to be for sure. - The buffet breakfast was very good but I have had much better, but I'd be comparing to places like buffets at the Mandarin Oriental which I'm not sure is fair. - I felt the one place that was missing was a 'cheap-ish' Thai food cafe/restaurant by the pool. Sure you can go into town and get great/cheap Thai food but it would have been nice for the pool cafe to serve some of the great dishes you expect of Thailand.

One of the best beach resorts I have stayed in. Located ideally on Chaweng beach, the sprawling resort has a very large private beach area and it is maintained well. The beach area combined with three swimming pools and the jacuzzi provided us ample opportunity for enjoying the resort. The best part of course was the extremely courteous staff at every location who took the Thai hospitality to another level. Although the food prices may appear to be on the higher side when compared to Thai prices, when compared to the prices in any decent five star property in Europe or elsewhere they were very reasonable. I think we had a perfect stay.

The hotel doesn't provide a free shuttle service to and fro from the airport. The airport is just 15 minutes away from the Resort and it should not be a problem for it to deploy a 10 seater van to pick up and drop its guests. If necessary they can even charge the guests a nominal fee for the service. It will give confidence and feeling of security to guests who are new to the place.

Beautiful resort with all the amenities and thoughtful details you desire for a relaxing holiday. The team there at Centara have thought about everything to make your stay a memorable one. The surprise of the day was really sweet. In addition to the buffer breakfast daily you can also enjoy make to order menu. The pool, gym, the ground and the long white sand beach are all beautiful. Outside of the hotel, plenty of shops for food, massage etc etc. we loved our stay there.

The room is on the smaller side for Thailand standard, there seem to be not enough Sun beds on a fine day
