Had a great stay, don’t really understand the complaints people are making. The staff were nice, even helped us with a smooth early check out before our flight. The room itself was clean, good to have a refrigerator. Spacious enough for two people. Also the location was perfect, close to the beach, 7-eleven, restaurant and night marked. Ac was working good, had some good nights of sleep there. Really good value for the money. One of the best places we have stayed in during our trip.

Was one time we put out the cleaning sign and no one cleaned our room that day, but that wasn’t a big deal to us. They cleaned our room the rest of the days during our stay

I was unsure about this place because of so many hit and miss reviews. I don't know what for, the place is great. Yes, the room is small, but I don't mind and it's cheap and easy to keep tidy with enough room to put everything out of the way. Yes the bird is fairly firm, but this is common in Asia and no uncomfortable at all. Yes, there is a roadside restaurant next to the hotel and the room I was in on the ground floor backed onto it. Some nights there is some noise from the talking and music. What I found funny is it was inconsistent and I could never pick when or which night it was on. But honestly, it didn't bother me and I slept fine. As for the reports of ants, I saw none in my room. Room was modern, tidy and everything worked. Reception is across the road from the accommodation in a building that houses the competitively priced and pretty good quality café. What I like about this is there is no reception in the apartment building and nobody bothers you. You are left alone and it is very private. Shower and bathroom were great.

The AC was a bit of a mystery and seemed to have a mind of its own the first couple of nights. I actually thought it wasn't working at first. The previous person had it on some weird setting and after some fiddling with the remote I got consistent cold air out of it, which is what I wanted.

The room is clean, and they changed the blanket at our request. The café across the street makes delicious Roti pancakes.

If the hotel requires guests to take off their shoes on the ground floor, it would be good if the cleaners washed not only the hallways but also the dusty and stained stairs. By the time you reach the third floor, your feet can get dirty. The hotel is located on a street with constant traffic—if you are sensitive to noise, you may need earplugs.

The location and building is quite nice for the price. It’s about 25 min walk to the main area, or about 5 min by bike. The area itself is somewhat quiet.

There’s a tiny shack/restaurant that is right at the side of the building. Every second night they blast music so loud that the bass will rattle your pillow until 2am. Even though I complained many times, the staff didn’t want to continue to help. I would suggest ear plugs if you sleep here.

A really tiny (but modern, clean and very well equipped) single room in a nicely decored building, not far from the beach (nearest public access within 10 minutes walking). Photos published on Booking.com are absolutely realistic, at least for the single room and for the public areas I saw. Safety box, Fridge, Aircon, Smart TV, free WiFi, all these facilities were provided, as described on Booking.com. Coffe and water available free of charge, 24 hours, at ground floor. No lift available (but the building is only 4 floors high). NOTE: Real single rooms are usually very rare. In Asia a solo traveller can easily get a bed in a hostel (that automatically means with shared bathroom) or need to pay for a full twin/double room (to be used "for single use", usually with NO o very small saving). Baan Poon apartments is one of the few exceptions I came across.

Sometimes it happened that the housekeeper did not notice my request to clean the room, so I had to ask for it at the reception. This was a very minor issue for me. I am just reporting it to write a complete, and honest review.

Place is as described, very comfortable and has everything you need (we stayed at suite executive). Location is pretty good - pass through Verticolor hotel and enter Centara and you're at the beach in 5-7 minutes on foot. 15-20 minutes walk to the main party area, though it's easy to catch a Songthaew on the main road. Definitely try roti from their restaurant, it's great! Staff is amazing and helpful and solved any issues we had very quickly. All in all,great value for money - recommend!

There was a lot of space, a separate bedroom and living room. There was a kitchen where you could cook something.

There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. But this is not the case in all rooms, my friends had an exhaust fan

The location was great and the foot in the restaurant was very flavorful and freshly prepared!

Only having a window in the bathroom, so natural light was lacking a little.

The staff were very friendly and kind. It was in a good area close to the 7/11 an the shopping centre wasn’t too far away on a scooter. We had the food in the restaurant and the Thai food was really tasty also the desserts. Highly recommend

They should add a ceiling fan and the room will be perfect.
