My bungalow was right on the beach and had the BEST view, the hammock on the porch was a lovely touch, very quiet beach compared to others on the island so it felt almost private most of the time. The staff were very helpful and accommodating, food and coffee was lovely. Location was good too, 7/11 a 2 minute walk so never stuck for water or snacks, good local Thai food near by also. They can rent you a scooter or call you a taxi for when you want to explore more of the island, No complaints

The bathroom had little air slots that didn’t have mosquito nets or glass in and the bathroom door didn’t stay closed so I got bitten at night time but might have just been my specific bungalow, after 1st night I just wore long pjs and I was fine

Excellent sea front position. detached cabin so very quiet and private. beautiful view. superb position. Excellent and convenient location - close to amenities/shops etc. local return taxi/bus service to full moon party provided in resort down the road - safe and reliable return service. Super bar/restaurant. good food - able to order and accommodated for me to eat on my sea front balcony able to put on my 'tab' for final payment when checking out. Aircon worked well. comfortable beds for sleeping. luxurious towels. friendly and helpful staff.

bathroom could do with a little makeover - wet room which wet all the floor/toilet. awful bright green paint - would recommend more neutral colour for relaxation and style.

The staff was very friendly, up to and including the cleaners. The property is right on the beach. You can go for a small walk there (not too far) and enjoy the sunset while getting bitten by thousands of mosquitos. They also have Thai massage (I believe it's 300 THB), motorbikes for rent, a restaurant, ... in fact you would never even have to leave the resort if you don't want to.

The room was quite dark. Fruit bats under the roof of the balcony would eat fruit at night and dump it loudly on the balcony, sometimes waking me up. I could also go into detail about the non existent water pressure, the toilet that had trouble flushing some bigger things away, and the generally less than ideal state of the bathroom, but that wouldn't do justice to the accommodation, especially given the good price and location. One important thing: if you put a warning on the wall and urge people to reduce single-use plastic, I feel it's quite strange if you don't offer water refill.

I absolutely adore this resort I booked it as it features in the lonely planet guide as being one of the top places to stay and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The value for money is exceptional you are right on the beach which yes it's not the most beautiful beach in the world but it's lovely to take a dip in and to sit on and have some drinks . The food is great and the room for the price is an absolute steal. The fan is excellent and I could even sleep in the room during the day. I can't wait to come back

Right on the beach which was lovely, and helpful staff. The common area was also busy with people, had a nice bar and a pool table. Had an issue with our room and the owner offered us a free beer which was very kind of him.

The beach wasn’t great for swimming. We were in a room with a fan and it was HOT, wish we’d splashed out on air con. The reason it’s an 8 and not a 10 is because we had an issue and had to pack up our stuff to move rooms twice.

Such a great place! Really nice bungalows, tasty restaurant (try the apple pie and the pad thai, it's super delicious), chilly bar, staff is super nice. We booked for 3 nights and stayed our whole vacation of 9 nights there. Motobike can be rented directly on the spot. The location is perfect to explore the island. The fridge is super practical to store some stuff. There's a 7/11 and enough restaurants, fruit shops, massage places, beach chill places nearby. Easy to reach from the ferry, only a 20min ride.

It was perfect

We travelled as a group of 4 (backpacker). We stayed for one week and it was awesome! You're living directly at the beach. It's not the most beautiful beach, but it's still nice. We had the rooms with a fan and it was good. Yeah, you have one or two nights where it‘s warm, but it could be worse. Otherwise you have to pay for the rooms with AC. The staff was very friendly, the location is good. 10 min walk to the food court, 20 min walk to the food court where you get the real street food. There is a 7/11 2 min from the resort. If we come back to Kho Phan-gan we would come back to this place. On our way back to the pier the owner asked us, if he can give us a lift for free. A very grounded man. I would recommend this place to 100%.

Very affordable, comfy mattress, quiet, clean, very nice staff especially in the restaurant, no insects or cockroaches, private porch with hammock, good, tasty selection of food in the restaurant,

The huts need a little bit of maintenance, floor boards felt at some spots like you could step through, very basic electric ( one double outlet, one light switch ) , water pressure is not the greatest

we had a great time , quiet and good vibe location and atmosphere , restaurant food was great and the bar next to the beach really quiet and cozy. ohh and the massage ladies awesome too. the beach is not for swimming nor a really beautiful one, however it becomes gorgeous thanks to the atmosphere of this place . ohh extra points for some amazing dogs .

to be honest and as a constructive opinion , smoking shouldn’t be allowed in the restaurant , more than one time we had to leave due to this . it is awful to have dinner or lunch with someone smoking next to you. inconsiderate people are everywhere . staff at the hotel was the opposite , awesome and helpful all the way .

Location is fantastic, the bar/ restaurant with great views over Koh Samui, direct access to the sea, detached yet close to everything else in Thongsala. the owners, Lee and Andrew very accommodating, friendly and welcoming.

- Not much of a social atmosphere - but it is a quiet resort after all - and woooo the playlist at the bar … could use a refresh after all the 80’s were 40 years ago, then again I believe is in line with the most of the tourists in the resort, so it might be just me. - Stayed in a bungalow with fan, the terrace and the terrace furniture could use a bit of revamp and/ or deep cleaning - while I understand the staff needs to take the premises to clean it or off levels and make it tidy, I don’t think they have to do it every morning and with zero regards to the bungalows. so every morning you would be in a cloud of dust, and if you left something on the terrace (and you do) - it’s back to the washers
