Stunning property. Pool area was really nice and had sun for most of the day. The lady on reception was the sweetest ever, she was so nice and helped us book taxis and tours and was always interested in where we went and if we enjoyed it. The room was big with lots of storage and seating etc. the mattress was so comfortable. The bathroom was spacious. The WiFi worked well. Location was great so close to everything in Lamai but on a quiet backstreet.

Only issue was a very loud family occupying many rooms being so inconsiderate and loud. Getting in the pool at 10pm and because the windows/door to the room has a few gaps you could hear everything. When it got later we messaged the property on WhatsApp and they sorted the issue straight away so credit to the quick response :) Pillows gave both of us neck ache as they were very big and firm but manageable

I enjoyed the friendliness of our host. She was exceptional kind and was also flexible around e.g. the cleaning of the room. We had the chosen for the family room and it was pretty good. The room had two beds suited for long European (Dutch) people, The first bed was a bunkbed and the second one a roomy double bed. The room has enough floor space and a good sized locker. The airco is working well. The pool is clean, warm and deep enough so that the kids can play around. The WiFi is very good! Altogether we had a very pleasant stay.

Two minor details: 1. This one is personal, but the mattress on double bed was hard. Too hard for some of our family members. 2. The bunkbed squeaks a little bit.

The lady from the reception was really kind during our stay. We were earlier than checkin time, but as the room was ready, we were accepted in the room already. The rooms are very neat and clean. Bathroom looks a bit outdated, but is working fine. The airconditioning is a quit new model. The matras was softer than normally in Thailand, which makes the stay comfortable. During some times of the reception is closed, as the lady seems to run it alone, but you’re able to call here anytime via a call-button. The pool was clean and good taken care of. The staff is helpfully and are able to arrange a motorbike as well (to rent). The hotel is located in the city center of Lamai. The beach, night market and bars are just a few minutes walking.

The pool is perfect to start or end your day at, but is not really suitable to spent the entire day, as there are just 2/3 sun beds and not that much room. This however didn’t bother us at all, with the Lamai beach around the corner.

The place was clean and cozy, the pool was nice and it was really close to all the restaurants and coffee shops and bars but not noisy at all during the night. The staff were really sweet too It's about a 5 min walk to the beach. We had a really nice time!

The bed was not as comfy as I would have liked but it was ok all in all.

I always stay at hathai house when I'm visiting koh samui nothing is too much trouble for the owner pi noo who is a wonderful charming lady. I was sceptical on my first visit because of how cheap it was but stumbled across a absolute gem every guest I've spoken to are always in agreement 🤝

It's such a good value for money, we loved everything! Extremely lovely and friendly people who work here, always smiling and helping; Great location in a quiet place but near the bars/restaurants, 8 min from the beach; Delicious rich breakfast (choose from 4 options); The swimming pool is small but a lot of fun and refreshing! The A/C in the room worked very well, in the night it's not hot even if you switch it off

we loved everything

Overall a great place to stay, the pool was great to use and the AC in the room was strong. The room was spacious and having a mini fridge was nice. About 5 mins walk to many restaurants and the beach.

The owner lady (I believe) kept asking when we were leaving, which we found odd however she was very friendly.

Very clean, quiet and friendly. Nice pool. Located just several minutes on foot from the main Lamai street. Great getaway after the pressure of Pattaya. Khophun kaap!

Broken wifi + mediocre cellular reception on the ground floor.

Quiet place, but close to the party street. Also close to the major road. Total win, the way I see it. Not a place you want to hang out for the whole day though - but it wasn't my intent. I mean who would go to Koh Samui to sit at the hom residence pool.

Nice spacious room with a clean bathroom, TV and AC. Small balcony at the front facing the pool. Pool was a nice size and friendly staff. Location is good close to restaurants and bars.

Maybe could do with a few more sun beds but there isn’t loads of space around the pool.
