Yes, you might feel you are back in the 90s or that the hotel stopped doing improvements then. But the rooms are spacious and clean, the grounds are very nice, we had a room overlooking the pool and the waking up and looking at the trees is very nice. Breakfast in our opinion was great. The rooms in our opinion are great value for money.

For what we paid I think it is an amazing place. But yes, it is dated in some aspects, but keep in mind what you paid. I think that the deck boards around the pool should be replaced, some are missing, some have nails sticking out, so it could be dangerous.

The breakfast was great with plenty of variety. The restaurant for dinner was good with Thai and western food. Staff were great, the place well maintained. Would stay again. Pool was well kept.

Always enjoy staying at the Imperial, it has a slightly faded charm that feels a bit old world colonial and the staff are all superb

Great hotel in Mae Hong Son. Easy to find, right on the main road, but just far enough out of town to be quiet and relaxed (but still easy to get into down). Beautiful reception, friendly staff, lovely rooms with all the necessary amenities.

Breakfast was fairly simple and bland, effective - but not great. Only had small glass bottles of water for sale.

As a tourist.. This was a great stay on my Mae Hong Son loop bike ride. Very comfortable. Staff were lovely and very welcoming. The room was pretty large (they gave me an upgrade), I had a really nice (large) balcony - with seats and a table - so that was cool. The bed was comfy, I slept really well. The pool was awesome. It was in the sun until early evening. Plenty of chill out space too. I'd definitely stay again.

Lovingly maintained old hotel. Although not many guests due to covid probably hotel is spotlessly maintained. Beautiful and clean swimming pool. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open during my stay. Staff provided service with smile.

Restaurant closed.Hot water is available but balancing with cold water is bit tricky due probably to old plumbing.

Rooms are good size, premises are very large with a lot of trees surrounding. Alll in all, it is comfortable

Hotel needs a renovation. Bathroom accessories are so old and shower head needs to be hand held. .

The room size is big. The hotel prepared the room ready with the aircon turned on prior to my arrival and check in. The location is also very good.

I was very comfortable staying here. Some previous guests have described the hotel as "dated" but I thought it had a lot of character. I particularly liked the wood furnishing (so much warmer than the tile and poured cement of most modern hotels). Also, if you get a room at the rear of the hotel the balcony overlooks a stunning valley of teak trees.

It was further from the city centre than expected--which is fine for peace and quiet. Shower was a little temperamental.
