The location was absolutely perfect for our needs. One of the most enjoyable aspects of the hotel was the breakfast service which was enjoyed every morning on the outdoor terrace watching the day begin.

Their website said the hotel is guest friendly, meaning you can invite company to your room. This is NOT correct. The hotel charged a fee of 500 baht for each guest temporarily visiting. This came as a disappointment as prior to booking an enquiry was sent to the hotel via email and the reply affirmed there were no such fees. Well, there are, so be prepared for the extra expense.

Solid building that is maintained fairly well. Most locations are wheel chair accessible. They use electronic key cards for room access. About the room: The room has good blackout curtains and a great bed. The LCD TV looks good. Luggage area is in entrance area and is large enough for a modern suitcase. Plenty of storage in drawers and closet. There is a working telephone. The safe is large enough for a 16" portable computer. You get clean washcloths and towels every day. Super A/C to chill you down. + Good staff to serve the customers. The exercise room is climate controlled; only one treadmill is out of service. The sauna is out of order. The steam room is very good. Lots of towels at the swimming pool.

The breakfast area is infested by birds... they fly about through out the area... I have seen them land on the tables... this is not a good situation. They nest in the rafter areas. I avoided that end of the restaurant. The room: The refrigerator is somewhat small and was stocked 10 items for sale which reduce available space. I had to defrost the freezer area using the blow dryer ;) Sharp 1" edge at floor tile between bathroom and hall. Just a note: the swimming pool is on a raised level that is accessible only by stairs.

false advertising on BALCONY. its a 2ftx2ft place hardly fits one chair and has the AC extractor blowing hot air at 40degrees. Cant sit even for 2 minutes! see picture attached

LOCATION AND FACILITIES/FURNITURE IN ROOM-LOTS OF ROOM FOR STORAGE OF CLOTHES AND PERSONAL ITEMS. RECEPTION AREA IS VERY NICE. LARGE COMFORTABLE ROOM. SERVICE STAFF VERY EFFICIENT. GOOD AIR CONDITIONING

BREAKFAST NOT AS GOOD AS PREVIOUS STAYS AT THIS HOTEL - NOT ENOUGH VARIETY. FOR EUROPEAN TASTES THERE WAS TOO MUCH EMPHASIS ON "DINNER" TYPE FOODS. BATHROOMS ARE BADLY IN NEED OF REFURBISHMENT OR AT LEAST SOME PAINTING. MY TRAVELLING COMPANION (ROOM 2504) HAD TO CHECK OUT EARLY DUE TO A FAMILY DEATH. HE MAINTAINS HE IS SURE HE LEFT BEHIND A GOLD RING IN THE SAFE WHICH WAS MISSING WHEN I CHECKED FOR IT A FEW HOURS LATER.

The hotel itself (excellent)...great and very spacious with excellent loby and well organized and equiped with necessay facilities. The room too is large and very spacious like other known hotels, if not better!!! I am not exaggerating!!! Great location facing the beach exactly. Having a wonderful place to relax infrint of the hotel facing exactly the beach where you can set and relax enjoying your drink as well as the view of the beach with lot of sea activities. The hotel as a whole is very neat and clean. Staff are polite and very cooperative and helpful. Not to mention their buffet, excellent and having many and variety of items. Those who paid for a room like what I paid for and those who paid a higher rate all are enjoying the breakfast buffet and not like many other hotels who have implemented a silly system, although you pay more what you are paying for their rooms!! This was never the case in Thailand in the past!! Wonder when such silly thing was implemented?? Frankly speaking this is my third time staying in this hotel. I really like it.

Honestly, nothing worth to mention! May be and I am so sorry to say, we had some disturbance every night from other young guests which I never encountered/experienced in my previous stay!

Great location right on the beach and central to everything. Buffet breakfast very good, staff attentive and will do anything for you if you ask them to. Food fresh and re-stocked when it goes down. Maid service was very good. Room cleaned every day, fresh towels and bedding. pool area also very nice. Could be doing with umbrellas for extra shade. Also a nice roof area which is crying out for something to be done with it.

Hotel needs a re-vamp. Needs painted outside and inside. Headboard in room was dirty, everything could do with a freshen up and a good dusting and change of decor. Clean the decor and plants as it’s a beautiful hotel. Canopies and windows outside need a good clean and sparkle.

Good location , across the road from the beach. Friendly staff , good breakfast included. Very comfortable bed, and blackout curtains work well.

Water pressure a bit low in shower. We went as a family of 3 with a 12 year old child - and paid for the 3 people (after specifying age of child). When we got into room, we only had a double bed, and no sofa - just an easy chair. We had to pay an extra 900 baht per night for a rollaway bed. Was annoyed at this extra charge - made the room quite expensive…

Beach Road location is a big attraction, I have stayed at LK The Empress many times. Very clean rooms, French inspired decor has a real charm, also buffet breakfast has many choices.

We left a bottle of perfume behind which room check did not notice - a more thorough check would have been better.
