*The location was great, 5 minutes walk to the central area. Yet, it is on a quiet side street. *At thise family own property, you meet the family: baby, parents, brother, grandmother. They really wanted to please and make sure that your stay was comfortable. Very gracious. *Like our balcony which overlook the fountain courtyard. *The water pressure in the shower was excellent, plenty of hot water. *The hotel arranged airport shuttle for us to and from Urgup and ASR.

*The standard time for breakfast was 8:30-11am. It was late for us who are early risers and had a 9 o'clok tour pick up time. They made an exception for our 7:30am breakfast request. The night receptionist got breakfast for us at 7:45am. We would prefer not to have to ask for special treatment and have breakfast served or be available by 7:30and no later than 8am.

We liked everything. Hotel is nicely located within walking distance from the centre of Urgup. The interior design is original, well thought and provides very pleasant sense of spending the time in traditional Turkish environment, but not lacking any modern amenities. Everybody in the hotel was very nice and doing their best to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We particularly enjoyed rich breakfast in the garden.

Maybe only the breakfast could start a little earlier then 8:30. It could be useful, especially during the summer, for people who want to start their exploration earlier.

It is the sweetest welcoming I have ever had in a Hotel. The place is like a hometown stone building, conveniently closed to the center of Urgup (literally 2 mins walk). Everyone is super nice, they provide all sort of information to visit the area, whatApp available all times during the day or else they organize your tour for the day. Breakfast is good and so is Hi-Fi. The first bight my pillow was too high and a new smaller one was found on the closet for the second night.

Some upper rooms have a lower ceiling, still very sweet and with a great air conditioning, thought. It is a minor aspect.

the atmosphere was impressive, the rooms are spacioıs and very clean. the family runs the hotel and they make you feel as if you are king and queen stayinh in their hotel. hasan and serdar are well known great people in the area. they are most helpfull with our questions and demands. I will miss emsal their warm hearted always smiling mother, she is personally taking care of every customer in the hotel. she buys fresh yogurt from villagers and serves to her guests everyday as if we are at her home. I really admired these people ans hıw they dedicaye themselves to their business.

not a thing

We planned a short stay in Ürgüp for our wedding anniversary. We went to see a few other hotels before we decided to stay in Aja hotel. Perfect choice! We were received by 2 brothers, and they helped during check-in and adviced us with a good restaurant. The room was very large and cozy. The bathroom was excellent, with a large pool/jacuzzi for 2. The bed was good. We went in the winter, and the room/hall temperature was perfect. Next morning we did a ballon tour, arranged by the brothers. We were picked up from our hotel, and after the tour dropped off in front of our hotel. At breakfast we were received by the mother of the 2 brothers for breakfast. She is a very nice older lady, and made us feel like we were at home. She prepared a lovely breakfast - we could eat as much as we wanted. After breakfast we had a good chat, and at noon we checked out. She even gave us a present in the form of a local delicacy! Very nice family owned/runned hotel by lovely locals. Definately a place to return to next year!

There was nothing I didn't like. From check-in to check-out we were very satisfied!

Very cozy family hotel with incredible friendly staff. They were ready to help every single moment. They arranged all the transportation, excursions and so on. The front seat worked 24/7. The night front desk manager Eray was always helpful and always on duty. I felt very safe and welcomed there. Also the property was in the heart of Urgup that made it very easy. Highly recommend!

Everything was great!

It’s a family owned authentic boutique hotel in Ürgüp . Location was great within walking distance of town center and restaurants and safe. Staff are incredibly helpful during our stay and it feels like you are visiting your family instead of staying at the hotel. Emsal Hanım’s warm hospitality and Turkish kindness towards every guest makes Aja Hotel special and stands out from other hotels. As it is a family hotel, Emsal Hanım’s sons (Hasan & Serdar) work there and were very professional attendivr and helpful. Cappadocia is a wonderful place to visit and made even more enjoyable by the hospitality of the Aja Hotel and its staff.

Very warm and genuine hospitality. Everyone at this family run boutique hotel makes you feel truly welcome. We received great support for sightseeing in the area.The old house and its lovely patio have so much character... creating a very beautiful cultural atmosphere. The rooms as well are stylish, cosy and comfortable. Breakfast is a rich, fresh and tasty local feast. Being on the edge of the downtown area, it is only a short walking distance from the shops, small restaurants and scenic spots.

The staff were amazing. Although language was a barrier, the friendliness and warmth was palpable. We felt like part of the family. Hassan, Sardar are so friendly and warm. Get Hassan to play his instruments for you - he is incredible. Their mother is so wonderful. Hassan's baby is adorable! Breakfast here is incredible, and they will accommodate you if you are vegetarian. So kind and humble. The bathroom size was good in one room. The other one was very small.

Rooms are very small. Even the one meant for 4 adults. Especially the one on the 2nd floor. There was no room for the suitcase for a couple. And for them to walk. My brother is on shorter side of the height spectrum and he couldn't had a hard time in the room. The shower in the room was broken. But other than that everything incredible. Extra bed was not the most sturdy for an adult's weight, but it was good for a child.

The staff was extremely polite and helpful. Whenever we had problems or small complaints, they made sure to help us and treated us very well. I would totally recommend the hotel because of the staff and their politeness. Best staff in the hotel is Eray. He is very kind and helpful with any problem. Mihai :)
