The family that runs the Astor were exceptional. Yes it is simple and for the price you can't expect anymore than a place to rest your head, but we did not expect the highest level of customer service and welcome we got. We broke down on a long car journey and picked something cheap to get a sleep. But Claire and her family were amazing. By the time I left, I felt like I was part of the family. She even messaged me to check I got home safely. The level of hospitality has blown my mind. Thank you so much for everything you did to help and support us during a stressful time. If I'm ever back in Blackpool I'll be back to say hello :)

Everything was spot on, room was lovely and comfortable, plenty space for us... although there was previous damage by other guests, which claire could not apologise about enough, it made no difference to our stay or our opinions on the room!! Claire was a fantastic host. She made us feel so welcome and our girls loved their stay at the Astor. My daughters are 6 and 3 and really enjoyed their stay and chatted confidently to Claire who showed them nothing but love! We truly loved our holiday with you! There's nothing negative I could say about our stay. Completely refreshing to have met someone so lovely and welcoming as I know this is not always the case in other guest houses! Will 100% return in the future. Even though we knew in advance there was no breakfast or bar facilities at the Astor this was no issue for us and we were made welcome at the bar next door and given facilities to make hot drinks and store cold drinks within the room. 10/10 review from us! 🥰

The room was lovely and clean, the hosts left us a few gifts as it was our 19th wedding anniversary, a really nice gesture ,there was a fridge in our room ,and a fan ,tea and coffee making facilitiesand own bathroom ,,very friendly, the hotel is out if the way of the hustle so quiet ,but not to far away to walk to beach and town it's about a 5min walk ,there is also a lift in the hotel which is great if you can't manage the stairs ,will definitely go bk ,we paid £54 for sun to tues don't be put off by how cheap it is its definitely worth it .

We didn't stay longer

Just what we needed for Price, good location to our desired attractions. Perfect for one nights stay. Lady was lovely who checked us in. Little one had her own bed, she loved it. On a whole it was very clean, which is a biggy for myself. Good amount of space it did not feel cramped at all and we booked the budget room for 3.

We only stayed one night, the electric appeared to have cut out; bedroom light worked, but after about 11pm bathroom light and all plugs would not work.

The room was lovely, clean and had everything I needed in it for my two nights stay the staff was very welcoming too. It had a mini fridge, kettle, cups, tea and coffee and a small tv in the room. It's got lovely furniture and a large mirror too. I would recommend anybody to go again so thank you

The only thing I didn't like was the location it was far from where I needed to be so I had to do allt of walking. It is near the sea as it says but if you want to be closer to amusements, shops and pleasure beach end I wouldn't recommend staying here, however it was quiet and peaceful in the hotel it's just the wrong end for me but it's each to their own.

Lovely little place, didnt have much interaction as we were always out but when we did staff were great we needed to leave our things on the last day as didnt want to drag luggage it wasn't a bother they were great room had what we needed for out 3 night stay and was clean and we presented

Nothing to do with their hotel but personal preference and completely my fault I booked wrong end of pier so was a little further away from the liveliness for me but perfect for a quieter break away 100% and room was a little hot but nothing that wasn't easily solved overall great stay.

good location, clean room

we were only told at check-in that breakfast was no longer available. a refund of £8 per room was offered. I had received communication during the week from the hotel asking if I was still coming and then another email asking for arrival time. surely at this point we could have been informed of the breakfast situation? we were told a nearby cafe - Wexford - served a good breakfast with 10% discount. we walked past on our way into town. the door was boarded up and the place did not look inviting. we chose Wetherspoons for breakfast instead costing £12.95 per couple. just felt communication could have been better. after all we booked the accommodation back in May 2021.

Lovely wee hotel. Clare has been very helpful throughout our stay. She was nice to let us leave our luggage at the hotel in the morning when we arrived .

The hotel was hot and stuffy but Clare had put fan in the room before we arrived. Which was very helpful.

We were a bit worried with the hotel being so inexpensive that it might look like our grannies house. But we were very wrong. The room was lovely and modern with lovely decor. Everything in working order, everything we needed even a fridge ! Met the owner who was very friendly and welcoming as were the staff who booked us in. Location is perfect for everythign you need. Close to pubs, shops, cafe, beach & train station. It cost us less to stay here for 2 nights than it did to get the train down and back ! Do not hesitate to book, thoroughly recommend! :)
