location and parking

the bathroom was very dated and worn. (room 119) Breakfast was a little poor, sausages very poor quality and the tomatoes were ready to go with a salad.

Always stay at this hotel lovely and clean and parking available

The Staff in the morning he was rude and just laughed at me. The shower was off the wall and I informed the lady on reception after we checked in and she said there wasn't any maintenance men available until Monday so we managed. I paid for a late checkout and when we left my friend wasn't ready to dri e home I asked him if we could leave the cat for another hour he said 5 nothing else..... I explained the shower was broken and he said first thing I knew about it and started laughing. This is not the customer service I expect.

Reception manager very pleasant, but had difficulty finding our booking. When checked in we were advised included breakfast. The room was clean bedding and towels good quality and fresh, bathroom very clean and modern, the room also included a fan which was very welcome due to the hot weather. Carpet in the room needed cleaning, and the rooms are only of an adequate size for two people sharing. Breakfast, was not included and we paid an additional £25 for 2 which was expensive as there were items missing, and not replenished/refreshed frequently. The public areas were very clean and tidy, with lots of light and spacious. The location was within walking distance of main attractions Tower, Winter Gardens, and opposite the beach, also near to tram stops.

If staying longer than one night the room could have felt claustrophobic for two.

The Hotel Reception rooms spacious and pleasant, the outside terrace overlooks the sea front, as does the restaurant. All the Staff are excellent - professional but friendly. The meals were very good - cooked to a very good standard and nicely presented.

Our room was on the third floor, which wasn't a problem as there bis a lift, but the room was small and stuffy this was because the window was small, resulting in there was not enough fresh air. (It was very warm weather while we were staying there anyway).

The hotel seems really nice when you first enter but it is clearly dated from the minute you get past reception. The lift felt like something from a 1960s horror movie and the room was very bog-standard with views of other peoples windows, a fire escape and many many seagulls.

I was not pleased with my view as it looked onto the roof where there was a fire exit that staff could access and there was people in other rooms who could see me if I left the curtains open which made me feel very insecure. I also really didn’t like that the top of the bed was less than half a foot away from the door so I could hear people all night going up and down the corridor. I know I booked a single room but the layout was particularly uncomfortable and made my experience feel more budget than it was. For £80 I expected a decent nights sleep but it was that loud all night that I kept being woken up. It was young farmers weekend in Blackpool which I don’t think helped.

everything was good. staff manager was excellent apart from Wednesday night I ask night-porter if he could find out what the noise was coming through the wall. sound like bathroom airflow , we walk around an he said it was the heating . was told he leave note for day staff . As he had this problem night before . I must been tired sleep through that night . morning I as the young lady who was in charge to be told heating go off at 8 pm. which was not the case as night porter told me he try to turn off. Then told me no one else had complained. i recorded on my phone but hard to hear as my phone ( new ones) don’t pickup back ground noise. I ask few of the other residents that was on our side of hotel they all had said they heard it too. when I ask the reception lady she told me they had but I was out of order asking others . so if u book room don’t book over heating side- 101 to 105 .. Shame as all other staff was above expectations. All she had to say was I’m sorry you had bad night .. she put a damper to end of fantastic time ..

hearing noise that when on for over 4 hrs . ask the night porter about the noise. we walk around then he said it happened last few nights. that he couldn’t turn it off. I went down at 12.30 after 2 hrs thinking it go off. Took me few hrs after to fall sleep through it as it was right over our head end of the bed

Accessible parking (disabled) without height restrictions. Superb accessible bathroom. Excellent helpful staff. Wonderful sea-view from lounge. Attentive staff for drinks and food and only too pleased to help with luggage. Nice 1930s deco features.

Little more room around the bed to allow wheelchair access either side (though understandably constrained by bed and room size). Buffet breakfast was fine but on quiet day the 'made to order' breakfast for scrambled eggs arrived in tiny pre-made pots rather than proportionate to order (just eggs and tomatoes). Could improve on cooked breakfast for vegetarians and more veggie choices for evening meals. These are minor constructive points since overall our stay was very good

see below, i never got to stay

i stay at the hotel on a few occassions as a stop and refresh basis for a few hours as i travel from north to south, this particular day i rung up asking if i could come an hour earlier ie 1pm instead of 2pm and was told it would cost me an extra £25 to which i had to miss the hotel booking to travel straight to my destination as the meeting had been brought forward by an hour, to me this was not very customer friendly its not as if i was asking to come at 7-30am just a basic one hour earlier, surely common sense should prevail and it has totelly ruined my opinion of my future and previous stays, i say future stays it may well be that i just find somewhere else to eat and refresh during my journey

Good location for central Blackpool attractions. Only 20 minutes walk to the tower. Tram stop across the road. Free large car park. Nice terrace looking out to sea. Lovely warm welcome from staff and when we had to move rooms at midnight (a fuse blew all the electric in our room) the man on duty was great, very efficient and couldn't do enough for us.

Breakfast wasn't the best. Not sure if the hot drink machine was working correctly as I tried two different coffees and they were both awful and the sausages looked anaemic. The windows were nailed shut and the rooms were quite warm.

Location was excellent with in walking distance to the tower & the town Staff very friendly and hospitable

All public areas and bars very cosy and clean staff very friendly and accommodating Rooms need some attention starting to look a bit tired pillows are very hard could do with pillow choice as we stayed in a superior room bathroom was a bit dated sink unit had seen better days Breakfast limited choice (note given when booking in saying due to current situation with deliveries and sort staff Some things my not be available! Which limited choice at breakfast fist morning no mushrooms no black pudding And bringing out 6 croissants at the time so they disappeared quickly! Shouldn’t be hard to get the items the missing at breakfast as they have plenty in Tesco and other supermarkets, sometimes think thay blame shortages on current situation; could try a little harder to get missing items!!!
