The room was beautiful, full of gifts and an incredible view of the countryside. They were also incredibly accommodating of our very nervous dog. It was our first time taking her to a public place and she was great and the staff made it very easy for her!

Leaving, it was too soon

We have stayed before in the hotel's rooms but this time we were in the holiday home which worked really well for us. It was very well equipped and very comfortable with a log burner to light when the weather got really damp. The weather stopped us from using the garden chairs but we could see that it would be lovely to sit out on the terrace if the sun shone. The location is lovely, particularly if you have a dog with you as there is a good walk into the woods from the doorstep. Hundreds of pheasants around at this time of year!

It was all great but the beds were a little on the firm side for me - but didn't stop me sleeping soundly.

When finding this little gem I turned up and was pleasantly surprised as it was better then I thought and the views were excellent. my room was very nice with a superb bathroom and massive bed. I went down to have food and it exceeded my expectations it was some of the nicest food I have had in a while and the portion sizes were massive.

the only thing i could improve on would be the chair at the desk in the room wasn't the most comfortable so if you were working for a few hours it was quite hard, but that is all I could fault the place is amazing.

My daughter and I stayed here as we attended Bolesworth international at the weekend. Very convenient as only a few miles drive The things that stood out for us was : •the absolutely incredible food (honestly did not expect this level of cuisine here) the dishes were inventive , the flavours to die for and the portions were huge ! Do not lose this chef guys ! •2 members of staff stood out , Mille and a lovely foreign lady with long dark hair - 2 genuinely sweet people who could not do enough to make our stay exceptional, they are a real credit to you. •the views from the room and the room itself was spotless , very nice interior design you can tell a lot of thought gone into it, shower was so good!

Negatives : front of house / reception person a little frosty/snappy. Not genuinely welcoming. Seemed a chore for them. Room very very small. Paid quite a lot for b&b so expected it a little larger Conditioner in the rooms please. Room service menu would be lovely !

Oh where do I begin this was the most amazing place to stay. Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. The hotel is stunning and in a stunning location. The room wow wow wow, bed was comfy and the room was huge the bathroom was fitted with all modern fittings and features, this is our favourite place we’ve stayed in the UK. We had dinner in the restaurant OMG it was the best meal we’ve had in England. Breakfast was also so so good. The staff were all amazing and friendly. I would book to stay here if I was in this area again one million per cent.

Nothing the only thing was that we only stayed 1 night instead of 2or 3

The location is excellent. The real ale was good with a decent selection. The dog pack was good as lots of places charge but don't give you anything. Breakfast was great.

We thought dinner was a bit expensive for what was on offer - from memory steaks were over £30. We wanted to keep our dog out of the way at breakfast but the guy running the room insisted we sit at a table in the middle of the room as the table we tried to sit at had already been laid for lunch - wouldn't have taken much effort to let us sit there and then lay it again.

Beautiful location, ideal for local villages and the Sandstone Trail. The cottage was fantastic! Beautifully decorated with absolutely everything you could possibly need. The owners have thought of everything. Lovely extra touches such as a range of teas and coffees, biscuits, fresh milk and juices in the fridge. The pub is equally pleasant and the evening meal was delicious and priced in line with other gastropubs. Great selection of hot and cold breakfast options, all freshly cooked and high quality ingredients. Couldn’t fault anything about our stay.

Nothing.

The location of this hotel is perfect with beautiful views across Cheshire and North Wales and several great walks straight out of the property. The room was so comfortable and all the little extras provided made it feel extra special. An exceptionally dog friendly hotel with special treats, a bed, places to wash their muddy paws, open fires for them lay down after a long day roving the countryside. The food was probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Overall, this is an incredibly special place and we will definitely be coming back!

There’s not much to not like about this place. They could potentially look at upgrading their glassware as it doesn’t match the level of service and quality of food and drink served at the property. Other than that, the room, whilst incredible had a few cobwebs and such. But it’s an old building and to be expected and not really an issue

The room was located away from the restaurant/bar areas therefor offering peace and tranquility at the end of the day. The rooms were spotlessly clean, as were the towels, bathmats etc. The toiletries were replenished daily along with bottled water.

Some outdoor lighting in the car park for a lady alone would have been appreciated and is perhaps something that could be addressed at some stage.

The Pheasant already has a good reputation, and that was one of the main reasons we chose to stay here. The location and sunset are stunning. We stayed in the superior Tatton room. It was huge. We would definitely recommend it. The staff were really attentive. They all appear to really enjoy their job. We took our dog with us, and he too was spoilt rotten some treats, a ball, and a bed was left in the room for him. They even have a dog menu. If I really wanted to be picky, it would be that we had the dine package and ate both nights at the hotel (same menu as expected) I am vegetarian, and whilst there are a few mains on the menu, there was only one I liked, so I had two starters as my main the following night. Having said that, I am almost certain that if I had mentioned this, they would have done something for me. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you.
