Pound for pound, one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Everything was excellent. Room was fresh and clean, with plenty of space for comfortable double bed and a sofa. Flat screen TV. Sockets bedside the bed. Bathroom was immaculately clean. Hot and powerful shower. Fresh towels, bin emptied, and bed was made everyday. Free WiFi, and loads of free parking Restaurant/Bar was small, but of high quality. A real focus on customer service. The price I paid was budget, but the experience far exceeded the cost. Highly recommended
There is nothing that would put me off booking again. If I was nit picking, the road it's situated on is quite busy, and my room was at the front. It wasn't overly loud though, and they do provide complimentary ear plugs in your room.

Staff were great and stayed on to let me check in late as I was staying after work because of the snow. The room was clean and pleasant and they'd made provisions for an extra heater just in case which was appreciated. I arrived late and left early so can't comment on the bar or restaurant service.
Generally great but a few things to be aware of. My room was in the annex, I'm 5ft 4 and my feet were almost off the end of the bed so not ideal for tall people and the bed does rattle a little every time a lorry goes past. As a last minute booking the value was definitely there but I'm not sure I'd book it as a destination.

It was so accommodating. We were early, and they sorted the room straight away so we could check in early. Rooms were spotless. All staff were lovely. Cleaners worked so hard. Nothing was too much trouble. Food lovely. Especially Sunday roast. Such good value for the money. Easy to get an Uber to Chester cheap also. Averaged about ÂŁ10. Lovely outside area. Can't fault this Hotel.
I didn't think about the stairs. I have arthritis and struggled, but I managed. They do have ground floor accommodation. It's also on a main road which doesn't bother us but might others. You are provided with ear plugs. Worst bit was the garage next door was having quite major construction work, so was a bit noisy. It depends what kind of person you are. It didn't bother us.

Very easy to find and ample parking. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The double room we stayed in was clean and welcoming with a very comfortable bed. There was also a lovely little window nook with a seat offering lovely views to the rear of the hotel. We opted to pay the extra for breakfast which was well cooked, quality ingredients and ample portions. We visited Cheshire Oaks outlet and Chester Zoo whilst staying, both were only a 15 minute, well sign-posted drive away. Very convenient for accessing the town centre too, we also noticed a park and ride a five minute walk away. Overall my husband and I were really impressed and are planning a return visit in the near future.

Everything, I am astounded that the hotel doesn’t have better ratings as I found the welcome, the facilities in the room like the private bathroom with bath & shower, tea & coffee & 3 sets of ear plugs as my room was facing the main road but to be honest, by the time you hit the sack the traffic is minimalistic and I certainly didn’t need them. I was offered breakfast but declined as it was quite pricey, given the price to stay it wasn’t proportional, that doesn’t mean it wasn’t exceptional which it probably was but on a work budget a tad to much.

The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable. We booked an evening meal and it was a good quality and reasonably priced meal. The staff we could not fault, they were friendly and helpful. But even though we had a few niggly issues, we had nice stay and would return if we had a different room.
Everything in the room was nice, it was small and just a few niggly things that left an impression. Firstly, there was a lack of storage in the room, I know that we only stayed for one night but, it would have been nice to be able to hang clothes up properly. The shower room although small and functional, it would have been better if we could have adjusted the shower heat. The hotel is by a busy road, and although the room was well insulated the road noise was still noticeable. It was just the minor details that let the room down,

The room was lovely, a little small, but nice all the same. Everything was clean. The shower was easy to use and the towels were lovely and soft. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. The room had it's own door entry, which was great, as we could take our dog outside whenever she needed to go, without walking through the hotel. The door had blinds to pull down, or curtains to close. There were outside sheds with seating, which was lovely as it was sunny but quite windy. We sat in there enjoying the sun, but not being cold in the wind. Brilliant idea.
There was no window in the room, which was a bit difficult as it was hot on the day. We managed by pulling the blind down and propping the door open, to get some air into the room.

Despite the busy road, the location was great. Great room size, and the bed was extremely comfy. I loved the additional touch of ear plugs, which are needed. I slept soundly! Access to the hotel was straightforward, and although I didn't eat, the breakfast menu looked great.
My room would benefit from a desk. I had to work during my stay and the cupboard under the tv ...although lovely...wasn't suitable to sit at Pleaae consider having someone at reception between 9 and 10 as guests are checking out. It would be nice to hand keys back physically and to say thank you for stay.

It's a little gem, very handy for visiting Chester. In a lovely quiet location just outside the city. Our room was very clean, good sized and the beds were very comfortable. The pub is lovely and the breakfast we had in the morning was delicious. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. This is my second time staying here and will visit again.
The only issue we had during our visit was during a heavy rainfall, we had a lot of water leak in through one of the windows and onto the bed. However the staff were very apologetic and helpful and will be rectifying the issue as soon as possible. It looked like potential the gutter outside the window may have been blocked which caused the amount of water above that particular window as there was no issue with the other window in the room.

The staff were fantastic, so welcoming and accommodating. We got answers to questions we didn't even realise we needed! We had a delicious evening meal on the Saturday and they happily made a slight adjustment (and happily offered alternatives not on the menu) to suit dietary requirements and make sure we were happy Breakfast on the Saturday was really yummy and kept us fuelled for a day of sightseeing. Thank you so much for a fabulous stay, we will be back.
We would have given another point if the television offered a streaming service.
