It was in the middle of the island

Turned up checked in attended the property dirty previous washing outside, spoke with staff, went out in the evening came back ours was gone but everyone else’s was still there after 9pm, it looked poorly managed, bar was open, service slow and having to repeat orders several times and if your not ordering then listening to bar staff moan they can’t close early and moaning as they don’t get paid to stay open or muttering when are people leaving, I get it’s the end of season but still and for bar facilities being told we close if quiet - literally good people watching but service skills are poor !! Wouldn’t return again and caravan was ok, beds uncomfortable ended up sleeping on couch cushions on lounge floor - glad to go home !!

The location was beautiful and the caravan itself was a good size and comfortable. The Christmas Market was also a nice added extra while we were there. The food at the restaurant was also very nice.

The only issue was having to pay for towels as an extra and some basic essentials like soap in the bathroom were not provided. This would have been fine if we knew in advance but it was not made clear when booking.

It's a great location, in the centre of the Island and close to amenities. Being able to park immediately alongside the lodge was great. We had a lovely peaceful view of the lake and on the side away from the road noise. The bathrooms are good, very clean and with plenty of hot water.

There were only four place settings so we were constantly washing up or running the dishwasher. It would make sense to have 6 or 8 of everything! The lighting in the main room is completely inadequate, it definitely needs rethinking. There were lots of maintenance issues - like not being able to open or close the main door! Some were fixed whilst we were there but really I expected better. There are no bath mats and the floor in the main bedroom shower room gets very wet so I suggest you bring an old towel or mat with you.

Large, spacious 4 berth superior caravan, cleaned beautifully for arrival. Tea towel and washing up kit/bin bags left for us. Beds were extremely comfortable and bed linen crisp and clean. Ample kitchen space with necessary items in cupboards: saucepans, frying pan, cheese grater, casserole dishes, plates, glasses and cups. Plenty of cutlery and cooking utensils in drawer. Good tv and the heating was really effective (we put it on during cold spell mid-July). Shower worked fine and had loads of hot water. Everything very clean in bathrooms. I'm allergic to animals and had a normal caravan and had no issues with allergies. Definitely no animal hair anywhere. Parking outside caravan. Park was very quiet and clean and no rats in the mobile home! Staff very courteous. Altogether a brilliant stay and we will definitely go back and would recommend this site to anyone. It was VERY good value for money. No entertainment on when we were there but this is clearly stated on the holiday park website as it starts later in the year. Take your own towels and travel iron as these aren't supplied (again this is stated on the website). The location is lovely, quiet rural area within easy reach of most places. Well stocked Coop just outside entrance of park and bus stop there with buses regularly going along coast to Ryde, stopping off in coastal major towns. Or you can get to Newport and get other tour buses from there.

Sofa did have a bit of discolouration but it was a family/pet friendly caravan so that 's understandable. It definitely wasnt badly stained or soiled. Otherwise very happy with everything in the caravan.

The caravan no 151 was immaculate, the position of the accommodation was fab eg towels bedding all spotless clean , probably the best self catering unit we've ever stayed in for interior cleanliness., our very own lawns and veranda all very well laid out ., although there is a BIG problem with vermin running riot ( Rats ) to be expected as it is a lakeside location but we're in modern times and iam sure pest control is applicable. , they didn't enter the property but we was well aware of their presence , scurrying around whilst we was eating outdoors on the veranda The whole holiday village is lovely in general , but the staff just don't appear to be happy in their job , or maybe they were all having an off day on the same day ! If you didn't know any better you would think you was entering an under takers , but that aside we had Nice 3day break with gorgeous weather was a bonus .

The check in is far too late (4pm) especially during red hot weather , after travelling 6hours through the night , a little touch of hospitality would be more welcoming, but not even an offer of cold drinking water upon arrival . Staff just don't seem to have that personal customer service touch at all . A lot of waiting around to be eventually served at the bar after members staff drift past without any acknowledgement.. Started think if the rats took over the bar service we would have been received a warmer welcome .

The accommodation was clean and had adequate facilities for us. It was quite pleasant to walk around the site, but it was late autumn so not much was happening and the area around the lake was impassable in one place due to flooding, which put us off doing it again!

Check in was slow and the accommodation wasn't ready when we arrived so we had to wait. The prices in the bar were very expensive for the standard of the resort. The accommodation had central heating (good!) but there were no instructions on how to turn it on, nor were there any guides on local amenities etc.

Nice and clean and well presented. Scrupulously clean with a well equipped kitchen. The bed was comfy and it was a very quiet location. The staff friendly and efficient.

Some of the furniture/decor was a little tired but was there at the end of season, so hopefully this will be rectified in the off season. It would benefit from wifi. The tv was basically useless. Most people now use streaming services and it would’ve been nice to log in to my own paid service. I was there end of season and the facilities were limited. Restaurant was closed to nights, and the pool was closed. This didn’t bother me as much but I could imagine families would not be happy.

Excellent property- fully equipped with everything we needed. Everything was clean - obviously the property shows a little wear and tear which is to be expected if people are staying each week. We didn’t need any heating on as the property felt quite warm - so that was not tested. Was great to have a washing machine as was able to spin wet clothes after using the hot tub. I read reviews prior to going and I was quite nervous but everything was fine and I think were these people staying at a different place to us!! Lots of scaremongering I think which is unnecessary! And definitely not a rat in site near our property

The one thing I could comment on was the hot tub - this was very over chlorinated - so much so that my swimsuit lost colour and had a very strong odour. The back garden with the hot tub could do with some new furniture too (cottage 10)

After reading some of the other reviews we were initially concerned, however our accommodation was clean, the bed linen was fresh, clean and the beds all made up. The kitchen area, cups, cutlery, fridge, chairs, dining table were all clean. The living area was also clean, we walked around in socks and they remained clean. Both bathrooms had been cleaned as well. No uncomfortable smells either. The outside area was clean, off course some leaves etc from the morning winds, chairs were fine. We had a dedicated parking space next to our location. We didn't use any of the onsite facilities as we only used the accommodation as a base and the local pubs provided excellent food.

Just a few small observation, there was no door mat so we had to improvise with an old towel when coming back with wet shoes.
