We broke our journey home from holiday at this pub. It is located in a small village but very close to Rugby and road links and has a large car park. The evening meal was good. The staff very friendly and very helpful. The bar was frequented by the locals which is always nice to chat with them. As they only have 4 rooms they do not do breakfast but recommended a cafe a few miles away. The rooms were comfortable and quiet at night - we had one at the back.

The bathroom with our room was tiny and needed a bit of a deep clean as some mold was forming in some corners.

Room was as described with good water pressure in the shower. The garden looked really well looked after and would be a great spot in the summer. Staff were Really warm & welcoming & couldn’t be more helpful if they tried. We booked a table for food and drinks and everything was 10/10 we had the tapas and every single item was fresh & hot. I’m quite critical usually 😂 but I honestly had zero negative feedback. I wanted a cocktail that wasn’t on the menu and the staff went out of their way to look up the ingredients and made it. There was a genuine sense of community in this place. Great atmosphere & I’d happily visit again. Thanks for having us x

The location was central for where we were visiting. We were greeted when we arrived by Zoe who asked Alastair ,to help us with our luggage and showed us to our room. They asked us if we would like to book a table for tonight. The menu had plenty of choice, great food. Our room was comfortable and clean. The Red Lion team made our stay enjoyable, nothing too much trouble. It was like home from home,.We were greeted by the customers, who made us welcome.

Friendly staff. Great pub, restaurant and beer garden. Food service until 9 so if you are travelling for work, you stand a good chance of food when you get there. Short stay from Daventry for where we needed to be for work. Room was plenty big with a very comfy bed. Free WiFi. Best night sleep I have had in a while.

TV was temperamental on some channels. Didn't work at night on some channels then did in the morning but shortly went off again as the morning rolled on. Perhaps an interference issue? Only stayed one night so wasn't the end of the world as the WiFi was strong enough to compensate instead.

Very friendly staff, nice clean room. Very pleasant eating area. Lovely gardens for eating drinking outside. Very good food. Perfect position 5 minutes from M1. Good value for money.

Only thing being a reduced menu midweek. But I understand this as most locations must have reduced customers at this time. Actually a bit of a positive as what we had was good. Maybe some places spread themselves too thinly trying to provide variety and quality suffers.

A very nice public house with an amazing garden. Great food with amazing helpful staff Good car parking facilities and you can come and go at any time as you please through a separate door of the pub even when closed.

Our sink was only small and must have been blocked in the pipe so you could not run the water hot as the sink would have over flowed. So used the shower which was very good. No hairdryer but not an issue for me.

Everybody was friendly and welcoming Lovely outside seating area Nice variety on pub menu especially Tapas

No toiletries provided apart from hand wash Just stayed for one night and didn’t get chance to ask if any were available but a small shower gel in bathroom would have helped

Room spotless and well furnished.

Arrived to find there was no record in the diary of my booking, although this was not a problem as there were several empty rooms. Although I was aware, no breakfast is provided, which is a real downside, but there is a shop next door for sandwiches, etc. Bathroom is very small, with nowhere to put your toiletries except on the floor. Having said the above, it’s good value.

You could not find a better room for the price and location. Everyone at the pub was incredibly friendly, even let us keep our bags in the room until we came back, and helped us book taxis and everything we needed. Unbelievably friendly!

The only thing i would have liked was soap and shampoo in the shower, but that was my fault for forgetting to check if they had it.

Great parking and easy checkin at the bar. Room was comfortable and ensuite spotless We didn't est but enjoyed a drink at the bar chatting with the locals and staff

Should have asked for a room to the rear as was kept awake by the passing vehicles on the road outside our window.
