The staff were all really friendly and happy to help. They arranged early check in for us and then there was an issue with the restaurant and a staff member really kindly offered to make sandwiches and chips if we needed to eat. They also pointed us in the direction of the local McDonalds (which is really conveniently close by), for if we needed more food. The staff were a lovely team. The room was tidy and clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was excellent and I loved that you could personalise the cooked breakfast items. A really good stay - thank you

I don't have any criticisms for our stay. It would have been nice if the restaurant were open in the evening, but I think this was due to unforeseen circumstances and not a regular occurrence. The staff were very apologetic for the situation and happy to help.

Staff were absolutely lovely, to both of us and our dog. Really a great welcome and exit too. I put a request in to ask if we could have ground floor, mainly because our dog can sometimes have trouble with stairs after a day of adventuring and they did that no problem. It was only a short walk from the room to the lovely courtyard with grass for bedtime wees and there were loads of grass areas elsewhere too. Shower was super strong and super hot! Hairdryer in the room, so that's handy.

Lacking plugs in the room, namely none by the bed/beside cubbies. Whoever was in the room above us managed to make their floor/our ceiling loudly crack as they were walking around and we could hear their toilet system refilling repeatedly - at 1.30am. They were then moving around again with more cracking from around 6am. Shower floods floor as shower curtain isn't good enough.

This was our second family stay at this hotel this year ideal location off the M42. We visited Conkers so near to this and this time the Halloween Farm. Also not far from Ashby de la Zouch which is a nice town with nice restaurants. All the staff at the hotel were so friendly and attentive nothing was too much trouble. We liked the fact that you could select what you had for cooked breakfast and was nice and hot, unlike buffet style which is often luke warm! The location of the hotel just off the M42 makes it a great base for visiting Conkers, the National Forest and other local attractions. We only had breakfast and drinks at the hotel so can't comment on the food but looked an extensive menu and reasonably priced if you didn't want to drive anywhere to eat. The location of the hotel means that there are no restaurants within walking distance apart from a McDonald's at the local services but across a busy road. Ashby De La Zouch is about a ten minute drive from the hotel which we liked. If you want a hotel close to M42 to rest your head after a busy day out visiting local attractions then this hotel is perfect. If we were to visit Conkers or any other local family attraction again in the future, we wouldn't hesitate in staying here again!

Room was a good size. Lovely walk-in shower. Comfy bed. Nice sized tv. Reasonable selection of teas/coffees in the room. Garden area to sit in. Food available morning & evening. Handy location off a by-pass. Staff were all very friendly & helpful & nothing seemed too much trouble

Garden area needed a little bit of TLC. Although a handy location there was a constant hum of traffic. We're used to quieter locations so it took a bit of getting used to. Entrance could be better signed. Thankfully they did message to say it's exact location as could easily be missed - as our taxi driver did! One other thing was it needed more electrical sockets. We kept having to unplug the tv & kettle if we wanted to charge anything or iron.

Warm welcome by a very happy gentleman. So we had a very good initial experience. Room was excellent at this price point and being just off the motorway was surprisingly quite. We were encouraged to come down to dinner and pleased that we did as it turn out to be very good value for the quality. The same gentleman we initially met at reception made life very easy for us tired travellers with his personal recommendations on the menu and even took time to talk us through the beers on offer. I did feel sorry for the chef we arrived to an empty dinning room at 8pm and just as the food offering closes at 9pm a large group arrived and a number of couples all at once. Everyone praised the pizza's.

The room had no air conditioning and the supplied fan was very noisy. I guess in the Summer it has the potential to be far too hot and stuffy. Also why cut the law before 9am on a Saturday morning?

We had Hunters chicken for dinner which was delicious - my spouse had spaghetti which had no taste whatsoever Shame irresponsible smokers feel the need to leave the 'dog ends' in the grass seating area between the two buildings instead of taking them with them We are responsible dog owners and had our two with us yet it was a shame that irresponsible dog owners who have stayed their previously cannot be bothered to pick up after their dogs whilst exercising them in the grounds! Maybe the gardener could tidy up under the gazebo where guests sit and plant a few flowers in the area between the two buildings - it would be a lovely area to sit Don't take cash!

Pleasant room with bath as well as shower. All staff very friendly & helpful. Dog was allowed to be with me in both bedroom & specific area of the Bar. Very well organised. Meal & Bar prices reasonable. Overall the four night stay was a very pleasant experience & I expect to return at about the same time next year when I will be competing once again in the British Flyball Association Championships.

I found nothing to dislike. However weather was very hot & I was obliged to remove the duvet & sleep under the duvet cover only.

very clean and comfy bed , room had been renovated so everything was new, hotel only reopened that week and having a few teething problems but the staff attended to all issues arising immediately

Our room was very cool on arrrival (no heating on) and controller on radiator was not at all user friendly, reception staff did come and put it on for us through, we also could not get TV to work , it said there was no siganl ? At one point there was a power outage across the whole hotel but it was very brief ? we would not like to stay in the area around room 205 again as there is a boarding kennels very close by and we could hear lots of dogs barking right throughout the night,

We stayed here to visit the National Memorial Arboretum, a 25 minute drive away. The staff were all very helpful. The room had a good walk-in shower, but we have become used to a large bed and this bed was only a Queen size. The entrance area was large and spacious, and is where food is served. The evening meal menu was not wide but it was adequate and the food standard was good. The breakfast was good. The hotel is accessed through a security barrier and so we felt safe. The car park was large and free. We would stay here again.

Found the staff helpful and cheery. Wasn’t expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. The water was hot and plentiful, the bed was comfortable and bonus the room temperature was easily controlled which made for a good nights sleep. On trying to depart my motorbike decided it had other plans and even though I had checked out the staff were very helpful and sympathetic when I had to wait sometime for the AA!

I fond the pillows a little hard but still better than most of the places I stayed.
