This was a last minute booking to break up the journey from Cumbria back home to Devon with me and my children and doggie. It was an absolute treat to find somewhere that accommodated us so well, with such a warm welcome and stunning food. The room was an anachronism with a bonkers swing hanging from the old beam. Too much fun. Loved it! The beds were deeply comfortable. This is an incredible building and so well hosted. Loved it very much and would really like to return one day. Really must stress that the food here was beautiful. Location was great, visited Ironbridge which was so close and a joy to experience.

A really lovely place to stay. Unusual with lots of history and very interesting gardens. You can tell it's a family-owned and -run place, a lot of care and attention to detail and the customer experience. Breakfast was good, lovely local bacon and sausages, all beautifully cooked. We also had dinner the night before and it was absolutley delicious! The bed was super comfy, too. Will definitely stay again.

My only slight niggle was there could have been a bit more choice for the breakfasts. Smoked salmon with the poached eggs, for e.g. It was a bit limited what was on offer, although they did offer kippers. Also, no fresh fruit available on the breakfast counter - we had to ask for some - and no yoghurt. I'm not sure what provision there was for vegans, either. No mention of it. I'm not vegan but these days you do expect it to be on the breakfast menu as alternative choices.

The breakfast was good, as was the restaurant in the evening, lots of ample parking, The staff are friendly and welcoming, the room was a good size and the gardens are lovely to walk around. The shower /bathroom was perfectly fine for our needs.

It's a shame that the windows didn't open further, as it was a rather warm couple of days when we stayed. The room was quirky, which I didn't mind, however I'm not too sure about the swing in the room, personally I'd prefer a chair to sit on. It would be nice if the wall lights were switched separately.

Oh....my.....days.......I've never stayed in a hotel which is as quaint & original & quirky & fascinating & historic & just brilliant as this one!! So - the appearance.....olde worlde & original; the interior.....rustic & perfect; the decor.....eccentric but brilliant; the rooms.....oh..my..god...your eyes will struggle to take it all in! My room had this incredible four poster & A SWING!!...in the room!...a SWING!! 🤣🤣 Ahem, anyway - the staff.....super smart, friendly & efficient; the food.....utterly superb. I could rant forever about this place, but I'd run out of superlatives. How wonderfully refreshing to find a hotel with some genuine character, a burgeoning pride in its uniqueness & the courage to be daringly different! Excuse the language, but to all involved at Hundred House - BLOODY WELL DONE!!!👏👏👏

Nothin - nowt - zilch - nada.....this place is perfect!!

It's something a little different, nice old fashioned themed hotel, lovely quirky rooms, excellent food. We stayed in Angelica, a family room which is right at the front of the hotel, and yet we weren't disturbed by the road right outside the window, a pleasant surprise. My daughter and wife couldn't keep off the swing in the room, a really fun addition.

I didn't spend enough time here, will definately be back in the warmer months to experience the amazing gardens and local area better.

A really delightful, family owned and run hotel. And that shows -this is no standardised chain. its character and the attention to detail is impressive. The food is excellent (do try the blade of beef), the staff friendly and helpful, the warm, oak panelled interior is full of interest, and the quirkily charming garden a must for a stroll after breakfast. And it is superbly positioned only a few miles from the many attractions of Ironbridge and the Gorge.

Road noise is effectively reduced by the secondary glazing but, in our room at least, was a nuisance if we then opened a window at night.

We came for a weekend away here and could not fault it. The bedroom was unreal four poster bed big roll bath tub. Quirky little things around the hotel you just kept noticing. The outdoor garden area was so enchanting and romantic. Absolutely beautiful. The food was outstanding. The service was second to non. The lovely owner we think....her efficency and hard work was amazing, she couldn't do enough for us. We felt really comfortable and Homely. We will definitely revisit.

Breakfast very good. One small issue just the one bedside cabinet. Bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. Shower very good. quiet room, good tv with different options. A bonus to be able to view the gardens at the back.

Hotel needs new carpets in the corridors and landing areas as well as stairway. Stairway has narrow steps so be careful. An old building so allowances have to be considered. No other worries. Location for our visit was ideal.

Lovely location.Beautiful building amazing atmosphere.Excellent food and drink.Very warm and welcoming staff.The room was warm and very comfortable and very well looked after,with antique furnture and a modern en suite bathroom.

Having to leave.was so hard.Its the perfect escape for those who appreciate the amount of work time and money that has been lovingly and sympathetically poured into a really charming romantic getaway

Loved the breakfast and the evening meals! All spot on. Range of drinks was excellent too. Buildings were beautiful and charming and the herb and enchanted garden was were stunning. Staff were friendly and helpful and made us very welcome.

Nothing really. Maybe the decor in rooms starting to look a little tired around the edges but we loved it.
