Lovely former village local pub, rescued and skilfully and tastefully rebranded as a B&B and restaurant. I think the staff - some of whom were very young and new to it - were kinder and more helpful than I’ve ever encountered anywhere. Absolutely matchless location at the heart of the village overlooking Fishguard Bay, ideal for relaxing on Goodwick sands, walking the beautiful Pembrokeshire cliff paths, and visiting Ireland on the ferry - all of which we did in our time there. Lovely room with a sea view, given the choice of whether you wanted the room making up or not.
Nothing to dislike.

Breakfast was good with self service for cereals and toast etc, I had poached eggs one day and 'full English breakfast another day which wasn't good the fried egg was dry and the bacon overcooked, baked beans served in a separate bowl were lukewarm. There was selection of fresh fruit and flavoured yogurts though no plain yogurt. Fruit juice was by order along with tea or coffee. We were an exception staying three nights as most guests stopover to catch the ferry. We enjoyed our stay and the room at the attic level was spacious with nice view over the ferry port. The bath was a bonus for me as too many places only have a shower, though the bath didn't have a shower to rinse down after bathing. Would recommend the evening menu which is quite varied and occasionally there is a 'specials board'. The staff were great.
No shower attachment for the bath

We were put in rooms next door which is actually the harpy and acer, Paid parking very close by, It is very close to the ferry port if you are waiting for a ferry, or some one of it. It is close to the sea, shops, petrel station and the Ocean Lab Aquarium: Sea-Life Centre. A bar just down stairs that does meals. The bedfast is reasonable for the price.
We were put in rooms next door which is actually the harpy and acer, There was dust but it was hidden behind the bed. The major problem was the the shelves are screwed into the wardrobe, which makes them hard to move if you drop something down there. I had a major operation using my torch to get my things that had fallen there. The rooms are not very sound proof can hear next doors TV. The cups in the room are very small if they want to use them they should provide a teapot as well. Says there is a garden in the advert but I did not notice one, The food is ok suitable for the price the bacon was very hard.

Beautiful location, just above the port of Fishguard, with glorious views of the Pembrokeshire Coast. Comfortable bed and bathroom and fish shop just over the road. Breakfast was relaxed and delicious in a beautiful room and the staff were helpful and very accommodating. Nice little beer garden next to the car park to wait for check in at the Port to begin or for those waiting for trains at the nearby station. Lovely scenic walks to do in the interim, also.
The accommodation was entered from around the side of the pub, which required an incline and steps to be negotiated. Staff member did help us in with our bags, but did not tell us about the tricky switch on the kettle, which needed a later demonstration for us before we could use it. The blinds also required a little help, which she did provide. There was a paying car park for day time parking, but this was not expensive.

the location was good for us, the staff were super friendly and help full the room was on top floor, and was good for a one night stay tea making facilities in room the bedroom and bathroom were very clean breakfast was very good, cereal, toast and full cooked breakfast served, with tea, coffee, or fruit juice
on arrival we had to wait a short while till the boss came back with the room keys. the mattress on the bed was too soft for me, i prefer a firm mattress for my back there seemed to be a leak behind toilet as there was a towel behind which was dripping by morning there was no hairdryer in the room

A warm welcome at the bar, even though I was quite early. This was no problem and I was shown to my room straight away which was appreciated. The room was in the pub next door (owned by the same people and featuring a small local's bar) The room itself was clean and tidy, a little dated but not unpleasantly so. The bed was a superking, relatively new and blissful to sleep in. For me, the bed is the most important part of a room, the rest being window dressing, and this one did not disappoint. Good tea and coffee selection. I stayed because I had booked a speciality dinner evening. The service and food in the restaurant was very good, and somewhere to remember for the future. Breakfast in the morning was also excellent. Overall, exceptional value for money and I can very much recommend either a stay or the restaurant.
The shower room was small but functional and that's all you need. However the shower was looking quite sad and needs attention. It worked well enough, just in need of renovation. Which it may well get in time under the fairly recent new ownership.

The staff were amazing , friendly , attentive , the food was exceptional , very reasonably priced and you could just tell it was all cooked fresh with care and .love . A genuine family run feel to the place .The bedroom was beautifully finished , bed was comfortable, complimentary tea coffee kettle etc … well stocked .Ensuite facility . It’s ideally situated for the ferry and was a godsend when my sailing was cancelled . The value ( off season ) was unbelievable i paid 37gpb ( 44 Euro) after an into pffer for a single bed room ( that also contained a very comfy sofa and TV ….but the original price was 50 Euro ….. and to be honest I got a 4 star room . O would’ve not begrudged 80 Euro for this room and experience ) After a week from hell with cancelled sailings , a family emergency and too much driving between West of Ireland to Southwest and Cormwall … ‘twas like a little oasis of great craic , great prices and good company with a nice mix of friendly locals and fellow travellers . Great selection of beers etc … I was drinking a local Welsh real ale … 3.20 a pint …. I (mean had to be done right, I had 4 …. The room rate included a great cooked breakfast with a vegi option with a table laid out with a continental . 11 o’clock checkout .The restaurant has a great view down to the harbour ( literally 30 seconds away by car ) and a downhill walking stroll of 2 minutes and is served by a nice size pay and display car park ( free off season ). I can find no petty fault at all with this incredible family run business . I would now plan my trips back to see my kids around a stay in this great Inn ( this one’s the real deal ) so very well done and executed . I’m not affiliated with the business … this is a genuine happy customer, a greatfull customer …who will return repeatedly based on the reception , hospitality value and quality and nothing was too much of a problem or issue for the guys to make sure your felt looked after . Truly brill ! Thanks !
I couldn’t stay longer ! Honestly I could’ve happily done a couple of nights there . Just to relax a bit !

This pub/hotel continues to be improved each time I've stayed with investment by its most recent owners. There is a modern attractive restaurant/bar on the ground floor and another bar with a pool table room on the first floor. Popular with young people locally. The food here is great too and the inclusive breakfast was well presented and enormous! There's a council car park to the rear (free in winter) and some on-street parking close by too.
As it is a successful pub as well as the accommodation, it is only to be expected there can be a certain amount of noise in the evenings.

Room was comfortable, clean and fresh. Bathroom excellent, shower great. Breakfast good and staff friendly. Room view only of the road but not a problem for me. I would definitely stay here again.
Small things - no bin in the bathroom, only small one in main room. Hairdryer missing but again, not a problem for me. Was looking forward to the promised 'Chocolate for guests' but it wasn't there (probably good for my waistline but I'm sure I could've asked for some!). Internet wouldn't connect in my room, but staff gave me the password for the adjoining pub which solved the problem

The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the Goodwick train station and about 10 minutes from the ferry terminal. The rooms are recently renovated, clean and bright. Very comfortable bed, smart tv, nice bathroom and most of the staff are very friendly. The included breakfast was cooked to order and the coffee was hot and strong. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from Tescos for snacks.
There were a few missing doorknobs in the room and it seems like the renovation hasn’t been quite completed. The hotel is not open between 11am-4pm (except for Sundays) so if you are unlucky and there are no staff around you may not be able to leave your bags.. (we were lucky enough to be able to do this). Not a negative for the hotel, but there really isn’t much going on in Goodwick. The walk to Fishguard is about 15 minutes or so up a very steep hill, but worth the effort as it is a lovely little township with a few shops, cafes and pubs.
