Excellent bedroom with sea views, Mostly clean and comfortable with a kitchen next door we could use, very good price - would recommend

All remote access -key pad entry to doors. The kitchen was in need of a good clean and table and worktops sticky, Dirty cushions on the bed with stains ugh

Located on the waterfront of Seaton Carew. My room on the top floor had magnificent views over the coast. The room was adequate for a couple although I travelled alone. Not a B&B but tea/coffee making facilities supplied. I didn't use the kitchen facilities but they seemed adequate. Limited parking on site but parking available on the road, charges are 9am-6pm up to 2 hours £1.50, up to 4 hours £2.00, all day £4.00. I used the parking application RingGo which has a small surcharge.

Nothing in my opinion, it's a budget self service hostel and as such meets the criterium. There are steps to the entrance and no lift so that it is not suitable for anyone with a wheelchair in my opinion.

We stayed in room 9 which had a lovely see view so we were able to sit and watch the early morning cold water swimmers brave the sea

For a budget hotel you get exactly what you pay for however I feel the cleanliness of the kitchen could have been better. Yes it's used and supposed to be cleaned by the guests but think it should also be cleaned professionally too

I found the Norton very good and a great views easy getting there it was very clean and quiet l sleep well Every thing was very positive plenty of hot water instantly a good shower unit there is nothing negative l could say about the Norton l will definitely be recommending it to all my friends who travel in the north east The huge lounge and pool table was a very good surprise l could sit and do some paper work without any interference great thank you l will use the Norton again it was nice to see all the people walking along that lovely big beach amazing.

The only thing l found difficult was the front steps l have a disability my knees and getting up the front steps A guard rail down one side would certainly help when l was there another lady found it awkward her shopping etc but that is my only bit of criticism in regard’s to the Norton thank you for a pleasant stay. Room was on ground floor which helped I have poor mobility. Room had a sea view which we enjoyed. We were able to park onsite which was a great bonus. The hotel is in a lovely sea front position, also within easy reach of public transport. The only member of staff we met was the cleaner, she was a very polite and helpful young lady. It is self catering but there is a shop nearby and a shared kitchen with good facilities. There are quite a few restaurants, cafes and bars nearby so no shortage of eating out options. We found the Norton to be very good value for money and would happily go back.

The building and interior are a little worn but then so are we!!

Good view from my bedroom window. Handy for bus stop. Fridge in room was so welcome. Clean & comfortable with a nice shower. It was perfect for my needs, to visit Saltholme RSPB & local nature reserves. I could also set my telescope up to watch the seabirds passing. I was able to go for a swim just across the road.

I got about 5 emails asking me to update my payment, but I booked & paid in full to Booking.com. Was worried as I wasn't sent entry code till I drove into car park. Thought I wouldnt be able to get in. Couldnt get TV to work, it had to run through wifi and I didnt understand the instructions. As a single person, the Tv would have been good company for me.

Location was on the sea front with a nice sea view. Self catering therefore no meals available, however two kitchens were available for use and the room had a good stock of tea and coffee etc.

No towel rail in the bathroom therefore nowhere to hang the towels. Only one pillow each, would have been nice to have had two. The television did not work properly and the internet connection was not as in their inhouse brochure therefore we couldn't connect. We did not see any members of staff during our 4 day stay.

Self catering trip with family, kitchens are clean there is two kitchens which are both fully equipped. The living room has a big TV with a playstation 3, a free to play pool table. The room has a smart TV so you can sign into your own Netflix or prime. The room also has a small fridge and a lovely en suite bathroom. The building is well heated and maintained throughout. The location is also brilliant short stroll down to the arcades or restaurants Mateos is beautiful.

The only thing I can point out about the place is the mattresses are uncomfortable. But nothing some memory foam toppers wouldn't fix. This also could be our personal preference. We have stopped here twice now and would still book again.

There was no breakfast , but self catering facilities were provided. Also a fridge in the room was very useful. I had a single room which was spacious, comfortable , clean and tidy, with a sea view and wonderful sun rises. Easy to to gain access to both the car park and into the building. I would not hesitate to stay there again when next in the area.

Not having a hair dryer.

Beautiful sea view from the room, comfy bed, smart TV so I could login to Netflix/Prime and self catering kitchen was well equipped.

Many food items of previous guests in the kitchen were definitely past its expiration date. One item was 4 years over time.. Not very hygienic. The management should enforce a label-system with your check-out date for storing food in the kitchen.
