Carol is an exceptionally welcoming host, with a great sense of humour and the best cat, Smudge (who is a delightfully chonky boy). The room was spacious and very clean, with the most beautiful view of Kinder Scout. We made full use of the tea making facilities in the bedroom, which were well stocked with different teas, coffee and fresh milk from the fridge in the passage. My partner and I both had the full English breakfast, which was honestly the best I've ever had!! heaps of delicious mushrooms, tasty sausages, bacon, eggs, tomato, hash browns and black pudding, baked beans and my favourite thing.. fried bread! What a treat! We will absolutely stay again. THANK YOU!!

everything was excellent, I have not got a single complaint!

Carol is lovely and b&b great, nice view from the window, a shame it's right by the road but that's no one's fault. Our room had a window to the side of the house, so we didn't hear the road much. Ample parking space. Breakfast was really yummy, nice full English and lovely fresh fruit. Garden was nice, good to have somewhere to sit outside in the evening / early morning. Room was spacious and had all we needed. Velux window had a blind (one review said there was no blind, but our room had a blind). Daughter loved to watch llamas on the field nearby from the window (there were binoculars in the room).

I only met Carol and she was brilliant, explained everything a guest at the B&B needs to know. Plenty of choice on drinks in the room, even had a fridge full of fresh milk available on the landing. Nice touch with chocolate and biscuits in the room. Great choice of cereals and cooked breakfast items, cooked to perfection with a bottomless pot of tea.

There are plenty of signs in the room I had, explaining that the building was built in the 1800s, consequently the hot water takes a while to reach the shower. You're not kidding, 10mins!! I have to be honest, the shower water pressure was poor.

Carol the owner was very friendly and helpful. I liked the little touches, semi skimmed milk in fridge on corridor for hot drinks 👍, a bottle of orange juice and milk on table at breakfast, and a large cafetière of coffee for one. The breakfast was huge and comprehensive and even the small one beat me. My room was traditional, spacious and comfortable. Toiletries were provided in the bathroom. Although the pillows were rather flat and not fluffy the bed otherwise was comfortable. Just down the main Road to Hayfield there is a path ‘Clarke Crossing’ on the left next to a field of alpaca, just walk down here and you are on the Set Valley Trail which takes you into Hayfield in approx 11 mins walking.

The only thing I could say is the property is on a main road so with the windows open I could hear a little road noise in my room at night. That can’t be helped and was not a problem really.

Great host, great breakfast, lovely place, recommend it to anyone. Nice location even though next to a road, the double glazing made it very quiet and so not an issue. Great service, nothing too much trouble. Thanks Carol. And smudge, the cat.

Shower was poor. Old house and low pressure so understandable. May benifit from an electrical one? Shame as its a lovely solid old house very well maintained.

The friendly welcome from the owner making us feel at home and relaxed. The breakfast was superb, plenty of choice and lots of it! The location was ideal, very quiet and within walking distance of both New Mills and Hayfield via the Sett Valley Trail which the owner Carol showed us how to join it. The bed was very comfortable, lovely hot showers following Carol's instructions. We'd be happy to book again, hopefully for a longer stay next time!

Only a small view from our bedroom - we only had a velux window in the sloping ceiling but it DID contain a black out blind for night time! Next time we'll book earlier and ask for a room with a view!

Carol and her team were the most welcoming and friendly of hosts. Great location and easy to find from the main road. We enjoyed meeting their friendly, cute cat too! The view from the b&b was beautiful. Carol greeted us when we first arrived. Although it was an only a 1 night stay as were travelling back home from a holiday, we throughly enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast was amazing, one of the best we’ve ever had when staying away. It was delicious and such friendly service. Great sized room with lots of character. It was clean and spacious. Loved the biscuits, mints and the fresh milk option. Honestly one of the best b&bs we have stayed in. If in the area, stay here you won’t regret it.

The bed was a little hard but more of a personal preference.

Superb location and comfortable room, owner / host was an extremely pleasant lady. Breakfast was exceptional. Would definitely stay here again. Car parking was excellent and Hayfield / Kinder Scout less than a mile away. Best in the area that I have stayed at. Owner upgraded my single room booked to a double.

Very little - only very minor issue was the shower head slider bar fell apart and had to be handled with care to avoid repetition, but this is minor - it did not impact a superb stay overall.

Fabulous time at Waltzing Weasel. Carol was a fantastic host - lovely breakfast, very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Appreciated the little thoughtful touches - lots of coffee, tea, milk etc and even a little fridge outside the room if it ran out. Good big car park. The view from our room was stunning. Great location - beautiful scenery and Hayfield village only a 10 min or so walk with another really nice pub Sycamore Inn in the other direction. The bed was soooo comfy! Thank you to all at Waltzing Weasel!

Nothing to fault!

Plenty of parking, Carol was a warm, welcoming host who helped us with her local knowledge of the area. 1.6 miles to beginning of Kinder Scout hike that we were doing so within walking distance of that. The room was spacious and warm with lovely views over the countryside. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of tea/coffee/hot chocolate sachets with the option of fresh milk from fridge in corridor if you're not keen on little sachets. A very warm, welcoming environment so very happy to recommend.
