Practically everything was brilliant. We are two happy customers.

This was not the fault of the Inn ,but It was a bit of a shock on our first full day to find that there was not going to be any electricity most of the day. My wife had become ill (not Fault of Mill) and was not able to have a shower all day. We also had a problem with the Internet connection trying to contact GPs/pharmacy. We were also surprised to be told that we could not have any meals in our room. Because of my wife being ill and having MS, this is something that is important to us when needed.

The food was delicious and locally sourced. It's clear that the owners take a lot of proud in their work and put in a lot of effort to make your stay enjoyable! Being the only Inn of its small village, The Little Mill Inn is popular with the locals who are friendly and happy to meet tourists. The location is great for going on hikes with several routes of varying difficulty mapped out on brouchers provided by the inn. The location is also good if you just want to get away from the hustle and bustle. This is a very pet-friendly establishment with a couple dogs seemingly always there to greet you. There's even a bunny in a pin outside along with some nice playground equipment for the children.

The staff! Oh my word they were so accommodating! I wanted to add a bit of romance to an anniversary I was celebrating so they put drinks on ice in the bedroom and rose petals on the bed, they put rose petals on a reserved table for dinner and lit a candle... Honestly I can't rave about their customer service more. We were late for our reservation because of motorway crashes and road flooding but they kept the kitchen open for our anniversary! Spotless room, beautiful location, gorgeous food. Lovely country restaurant and recommended rambles 😊

Mattress slightly too firm for my partner but that's going to be different for everyone so that's nothing against the business. I couldn't connect to their wifi and signal is hit and miss but great for a getaway from work and spending quality time.

An absolutely superb Country Inn with excellent high quality accommodation, friendly efficient staff and terrific garden, 'livestock' and grounds. Rabbits, chickens, geese are all within a well thought out children's play area. There is very good outside seating and large car park. The place is a real 'find'! .

Just one small thing - the entrance area door is directly opposite the loos, the doors to which were propped open when we arrived with a strong smell of toilet cleaner, 'you don't get a second chance to make a first impression'!

We liked the Mill very much, our room was a good size, the en suite was very big. We had dinner and breakfast and the food was superb for both meals. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

We only had two small niggles, the first being the water pressure in the shower. We had anticipated this as the Mill is in a remote location but others may not necessarily have considered it. And our other niggle was that whilst we had to book breakfast ahead which I don't like doing - I have cancer and never know what I want till the time arrives! - we then had to wait for breakfast as all the guests arrived at the same time for breakfast. I'm assuming they had all booked their food and time slot ahead as we did so there shouldn't have been as issue surrounding breakfast service.

The staff are the best. They were very welcoming, attentive and friendly. The waitress serving us breakfast each morning was particularly friendly and attentive and Josh the barman was too. It's a lovely Inn and very comfortable. We don't have children and deliberately went outside school holidays but for those with children, the Inn does have fabulous outside facilities for them. We paid a little extra for a room with a view and it was a lovely spacious room and very clean. We took our dog and it is a very dog friendly place. It is located in beautiful countryside and there are some lovely walks from the front door.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. Please note that the post code is common to the houses in the location and we ended up down a narrow lane facing a gate and had to reverse back up the lane in the dark. Don't take the turning onto Goddards Lane but keep going down the road, the Inn is further down the road on the right.

Loved the area where the accommodation is, and the little walks around the area. The owner provided us with a flyer that had the walks in. It's such a cute place and setting. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious too - both breakfast and evenikg meals.

I can't say as there was anything i didn't like.. ither than the breakfasts varied on the 2 days i was there. Ordered the exact same both days. The first day, I had a quarter of a ciabatta with scrambled egg, the second day it came with half a ciabatta. My partner had full english minus the egg and black pudding. The second day, he only got 1 sausage. Didn't look much, but thankfully fuelled up all for our hike at the supermarket.

There were Gluten Free options available, however, I did only have breakfast on Saturday morning as I was working Thursday and Friday, and therefore left the room before 7:30am each morning but I did have to ask for some GF toast to accompany my breakfast, and was asked if I ordered it?? , however, my husband had the Full English twice and enjoyed it on both occasions. 2 extra sausages were requested for our dog each morning and he loved them, so thank you.

Smaller kettle would be more efficient, as it wouldn't fit under the tap very well, and an extension lead under the dresser so the kettle could face away from the wall to stop the damage of the paintwork, and also the fridge, hairdryer and straighteners could then all be plugged in at the same time, without having to keep unplugging appliances. A demist mirror in the bathroom with a light would be most beneficial to shave, and to apply make up.

The location was stunning, in the middle of nowhere and perfect for a quiet get away. The Food was exceptional (but don't order the full english breakfast if you eat here the night before as you wont finish it). The balcony room was fantastic and overlooked the watermill, it was lovely and spacious and the taps in the bathroom are very fancy! The staff couldn't have been nicer - from the moment we arrived and were shown to our room, through the evening meal and then breakfast - everyone was so helpful and friendly. Oh, and the dogs that live there……………..they are simply adorable 🥰

Nothing, our stay was great and I would struggle to say a bad word about the place. As its off the beaten track the roads are a little tight in places - but if you take it steady its all good.

I visited the Little Mill Inn 20 years ago when it was a bit tired and lacking inspiration. The new owner clearly has a vision and keen eye for pleasure and interest. The rooms are decorated to a high standard but the surroundings are a revelation, with ducks, geese and rabbits free to walk around the tranquil gardens and paddle in the mill stream. The lighting around the big mill wheel is magical like a fantasy dingly-dell, where you can relax on the outdoor seating by the bridge and marvel at the inspiration. There's a 6' gruffalo, animal park, play area with swings and a very long slide all surrounded by trees and beautiful landscape. I imagine its a mecca for families in the warmer months, but for me, visiting my March birthplace (the sleepy village of Rowarth) 57 years later with my wife and greyhound it was quiet and relaxing. Just perfect

The rain of course!
