Up graded to a bigger and better room. The staff were polite and accommodating with our requests. Ordered from the restaurant which was delivered to the room. quick service and tasty. Priced well. The room size was really good - two bedroom areas single and a king size bed a large fridge. Good lighting Shower was nice and hot. Beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was really good. Good selection halal and vegetarian options. Food was fresh the area was clean and well stocked. Eating area clean and well presented. Thank you to all the staff keyan on reception catered to all out needs happily. Samah and Adrish. The staff member who delivered the Pizza... sorry didn't get your name... and the owner Mr Sarwar. And an extra bonus is the little shopping complex at the top of the road.

Wad abit cold in the room but it warmed up well eventually. Just need more plug areas in the room we were in as we had an extended room area.

The Cambridge is an excellent mid-range hotel. I have been staying there for years now, in fact I do not consider any other hotel when visiting the Huddersfield area. Within easy walking distance of the railway station, good secure parking if you drive and with a very high standard of cleanliness. You certainly will not be disappointed if you book this hotel.

Was slightly surprised to find some disposable dishes had appeared at breakfast, but real crockery was also available so may be these single-use items had been left over from a previous event, I hope so anyway because I would not like to think standards had been lowered at this otherwise excellent hotel.

Location - near the station, nice big comfy rooms with fridge case you want to store your food /drink. Kettle and teas etc provided. Dinner on site was good for me as I was travelling alone for a health appointment so dont necessarily want to go out again after travels.

A great stay - one recommendation would be to put some plants in the foyer and around the building - also the dining room could do with some decor - some plants/paintings on the walls and warmer uplighter lighting to make it more cosy and inviting. (food was great tho)

I discovered the Cambridge Hotel over thirty years ago, before the new extension was built, whilst working in West Yorkshire. Now retired, I do not even consider staying anywhere else when regularly visiting the area with my wife for the superb Wednesday evening jazz sessions in a nearby pub and the excellent real ales that abound in the pubs around the railway station. The hotel is located just outside the town centre, about 10mins walk from the station, but it has free secure undercover parking if you drive. This hotel is excellent value for money and you will not be disappointed.

In my opinion this hotel cannot be faulted in any way for the room rates that are charged.

I have been using the Cambridge Hotel every time I have been in the Huddersfield area, for work purposes, for around twenty five years now. It has always been excellent value for money, very clean and with very friendly and helpful staff. I am now retired, but still visiting Huddersfield occasionally, so it is the hotel of choice for me to the exclusion of all others. The standard of service and cleanliness never varies and the extensive breakfast menu is very good too and reasonably priced. There is extensive care parking space available too but the hotel is only a ten minute walk from the railway station if you use public transport.

Nothing really. The hotel is located in a town centre side street on a hill and there is a ramp and steps up to the elevated entrance but there is also a lift up from the undercover car park directly to the reception area but you may not be aware of this if it is your first time at the hotel.

Very close to the station, which was important for me. Very very clean, bedroom was very nice. Rooms and corridors were spotless. Good use of lighting when you walk along corridors.

Breakfast was disappointing. Sausages had no flavour. Bacon was preformed, not proper bacon. Baked beans were poor quality and very runny

Late check in was arranged & went perfectly well. friendly, helpful desk staff advised of wifi & breakfast. Room was a very good size with all facilities you might expect. Commutable arm chair as well as a king size very comfortable bed. Super powerful shower in a good size shower room. Only issue was that the shower tray was extremely slippery. A non-slip shower mat would have been appreciated

As above, a shower mat would have added to the rating. It was extremely slippery to the point of being dangerous for the unwary. The breakfast was good. A good indicator of a buffet breakfast for me, is the fried eggs. Often like rubber bullets, but on this occasion they were perfect. Sausages, mushrooms etc all good. All the hot food was actually hot, & there were staff around checking it & asking if they could be of assistance. Very wide choice including a whole vegetarian section, although I can't comment on the quality, although if the rest was anything to go by, it would have been good. The one exception was the bacon. The perfectly rectangular shape gave the impression of having been seriously processed.

was a lovely room, good for one night, loved the mini fridge and the hair dryer already there

the fact i was sharing a bed with my ex, should've made him sleep in the other bed.

Breakfast was top notch, everything was cooked fresh and done perfectly.Very good presentation of food.I really appreciated that my partner was on Ramadan and they provided some cooked breakfast at 3 am.That was very nice of them and very considerate. Room very nice and clean.Staff were very nice too.I will definitely stay again.

Nothing Everything was up to our expectations . There is nothing to falter

Booking in was easy and the receptionist was pleasant and helpful. It was only 6 or 7 minute walk from the station Getting to the room was a bit of a warren . The room itself was exactly like that on the website. It was clean , bright and well furnished , as was the bathroom . The Buffet breakfast was very good but finished a bit early and we were ushered out fairly quickly . Overall I have stayed in much worse hotels and paid a lot more .

The many steps to get up to the front door , not great for a fat old man . Not much else to complain about
