Andrew made the visit even better than I expected, a great host providing much appreciated tea and cake, it was lovely to sit down, relax and have a chat which I have never had before. The use of a bike was fantastic to get to and from a reunion at The Farmhouse Pub, the B&B was perfectly located for me. The breakfast was excellent, lots to eat and a great choice, I did pay extra for a full English breakfast one morning and it was lovely, thank you. Everything was perfectly adequate for me, the low ceiling didn't bother me at all and coped with the shower, I am happy to stay again in the same room. I hope to stay again, thanks again to Andrew and Chef.

You cannot stand up in the shower and there was no shower curtain anyway but I still managed ok. Yes the ceiling height was low, I'm 1.92m tall (6'3.5") but never banged my head once. The ceiling height and shower may not suit everyone, the photos are clear showing exactly what you get so nothing was unexpected and I would stay again in the same room.

Andrew provided cereals, bread, pain au chocolat, fruit, juice, oat milk, tea and coffee for residents to help themselves - all laid out in the Vincent room (Van Gogh pictures). Plenty of choice! My attic room was quirky under the eaves, and there was a fan provided for hot nights. There were toiletries also, in the little bathroom.

Can’t think of a thing - this is a reasonably-priced bed and breakfast, and was conveniently placed for visiting my sister across the Common. The attic room may not suit taller people though!

I really enjoyed staying here. The value for money is the best. The facilities are more than adequate and rooms are clean. The breakfast bar was well stocked and Andrew is an excellent host. My room was warm and comfortable and the WiFi was good with a Smart TV to boot.

My only issue was the parking. There is a good area for parking but it wasn't well utilised and a couple of times I was blocked in by other vehicles. I noticed Andrew's own car could have been parked in a better way that would have allowed the space to be better used, but that's just my opinion. Obviously, Andrew can park his car how he likes on his frontage but I could see how the space could have been used more efficiently. A minor niggle if anything.

From the moment we arrived Andrew made us a hot drink and offered us cake and biscuits informed us whenever we wanted a drink help ourselves. The bed was one of the most comfortable I had slept in when away from home. Yes the ceiling was low but I’m 4f 11 so not really an issue for me. A delicious home cooked breakfast was on the table ready and waiting at the time we stated we would be down to eat. Generous portions and offered cereal after the cooked. Would definitely stay again if in the area

Our stay at this B&B was lovely, a nice warm greeting from the owners on arrival and a cute little attic room to stay in with super comfy twin beds and an en suite. My teenage daughter and I stayed for one night and slept peacefully. We helped ourselves to tea and coffee and breakfast in the morning. Overall a very pleasant stay.

If I had to be picky, the lack of headroom in the bedroom but being 5ft 3in this didn’t bother us too much

Basic accommodation but with everything you need plus a couple of extras. Excellent WiFi and free toothpaste and brush for those that forget theirs. Tea and cake waiting for us on arrival with a warm welcome. Beds were bunks but super comfy. my fault for not realising they were bunk beds but hubby let me have bottom bunk!!!

Room very small so no where to sit and shower in room not in bathroom however it was adequate for the one night we needed.

The owner, Andy, went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, and when we needed to extend our stay due to a family crisis, he helped in that regard too. The premises were clean and comfortable, the bedding fresh, and overall the feeling among other guests was friendly too. Lovely garden to sit in too, and others had stored bicycles there as well, such a friendly host ! Can't do enough !

If it ain't broke, don't fix it !

We had a lovely couple of nights. The room was small but we knew it would be but the beds were very comfy. We were made to feel very welcome. Easy to drive to and to travel around Suffolk from there. .

A kettle and cups in the bedroom would have been nice but I think due to lack of space, probably not possible The roadworks outside the house were a nuisance as it made it difficult to get in and see the house in the dark on our arrival.

Location was great for my needs. Parking off road was a big bonus & the other guests staying were all a good bunch. Owner was fairly laid back and I was left to my own. Clean & comfortable room and as expected with very low ceilings. Enough choice for breakfast too. Good value no thrills B & B suitable for my one night stay. No complaints from me.

Bath with shower attachment was a little compromised and on the night I stayed not enough hot water flow, although it was adequate. Wifi is a bit patchy. I had a good nights sleep, no disturbances and no noise, so all good at the price paid!

This is a great place to stay if you want to explore Suffolk. It is a small establishment with (I think) only 4 guest rooms, so is very quiet and peaceful and I always had a good night's sleep. It is located right on the edge of Ipswich so is very convenient for exploring the local area, although is probably only suitable for guests who have their own car. I liked the fact that guests can help themselves to breakfast at whatever time suits them and also that one can use their kitchen/dining facilities to cook your own meals in the evening. Because it is a small place, the kitchen is never going to be crowded

Absolutely no complaints at all but, for the record, the upstairs room in which I stayed does have a low ceiling so probably unsuitable for very tall people !
