The breakfast was nice. Plenty of options

Paying 2.40 for a small packet of crisps at the bar. Booking. Com messaged to say we wouldn’t have to pay to bring the dogs. The receptionist said that was incorrect and would need to pay £15 each we have 2 dogs. In the end I accepted her offer of paying for 1 of them. The female receptionist was always polite but definitely not friendly. Her male colleagues on the other hand were smiley and friendly.

Room was amazing! Great size & comfortable bed. All staff were friendly & professional. Location was perfect for football ground & the waterfront,and not too far from train station. Plenty of choice for breakfast

Very small thing but the sausages looked slightly pink so I didn't have those on 2nd day Dinner & drinks seemed to be slightly less value for money but kind of expected that

Poor menu choices. Nothing appealing to either of us. The tea and coffee facility in the room was pathetic, would it kill your accountants if you added a couple more teabags and milk cartons. Going cap in hand to reception is totally unnecessary and we weren’t the only ones. £7 to park outrageous.

the size of the room, the layout of the room was good, we had room to move around each other and had somewhere to sit other than the bed. Bathroom was lovely, a bath and a seperate shower and a lovely modern sink. Having the toilet separete was good in some ways, but you still had to go into the bathroom to wash your hands. breakfast was help yourself, which we like and you had the full range, you get in most places, again well spread out. Location was near what we wanted .

The hotel was lovely, we got parked fine both nights we where there. but the area around the hotel is a little run down.

Room was comfortable with air conditioning. Cleaning and reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Good choice for breakfast. Large comfortable lounge. Close to harbour and archives office.

We found the staff at breakfast to be miserable, unhelpful and not at all friendly. It takes nothing to say good morning and ask if everything is okay. There was one particular lady who seemed to be in charge at breakfast that was not friendly at all for the 3 days we stayed - it made us feel very uncomfortable.

(would have Very Much Liked a shower cap!!!) better lighting in the bathroom, difficult to apply make-up. The Loo roll holder in WC was ridiculous, the roll kept falling off it onto the floor. Couldnt understand TV fobber workings no wifi details that we could see.

Rooms were lovely, spacious and clean. It was our second stay in Ipswich this month, and I would highly recommend this hotel. It wasn’t noisy even though it was in the centre of Ipswich. Curtains were excellent so room really dark. The breakfast in the morning was really tasty too. I had scrambled eggs, toast and mushrooms, and the breakfast mushrooms were the best I’ve had in a hotel (weird I know, but I love mushrooms).

My daughter was gutted that they ran out of pastries at breakfast! Parking is extra as it’s in the town centre

For me, the location is perfect for my needs. I always come to Ipswich to visit my son and he lives close to Novotel. The cost of the room is also a positive factor in choosing this particular hotel.

The carpets in the common areas and in the room could do with washing. They are stained and look rather tired. The toiletries in the bathroom, though Fair Trade which is commendable. are rather inadequate and the small containers are very hard and difficult to squeeze.

Close to the shops. Staff are very helpful and friendly. They provided me with a town map and directions to get around on foot. Excellent lighting in the room. Extremely comfortable mattress. Room service delivery was prompt. Wonderful buffet breakfast. Lovely shower. Luggage storage. Small fridge in room.

There was no in-room microwave.

It was not noisy, the staff were very good especially in the restaurant. the rooms were nice and bright and not too cramped

the price of the breakfast. We did not need a huge breakfast just a few bits of toast and coffee so 15.95 was high
