April 2023

The room was really clean and pleasantly decorated. The location was perfect and it was really close to getting on the tubes to get to central London. The bed was really big.

At first, we were put in superior room nr 309 and no one told us that next to us is a broken elevator. So late at night, we could hear this extremely loud sound coming from the elevator that was going up and down. When I called reception to ask for a room change, they said no one can't use the elevator and there was no sound, so we had to spend a night there. The elevator started going up and down again at 8 am in the morning which was really annoying because we wanted to sleep in. My partner went to reception with video proof to show them how loud the sound is and we got to change our rooms. We got a smaller room, but at least it was quiet and we could sleep peacefully.

Absolutely amazing room with everything you need. Rose petals on the bed as we mentioned it was my birthday. Very spacious room with excellent and friendly staff. Location is perfect only being a three minute walk from Earls Court station.

breakfast is expensive but plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants around to go to instead

Really very satisfied. Very good location just minute from the tube station, pub(s), shops etc. Rooms absolutely clean, quiet, comfortable bed, small fridge in the room, good bathroom etc., plus very helpful and willing staff. Thanks for the very good experience!

Just very small, insignificant points: - one day the room service did not refill the coffee bags - and on the other hand, our once used soap and towels were changed every day for a new one, which definitely was not necessary. As I say, nothing really important and someone can even see it as advantage. :-)

I liked the decoration, very new and clean, well equipped, friendly staff, I recommend it for short stays

I didn’t like that they ask for £100 deposit. They put me in a basement room where the internet wasn’t working at all even with my data, you don’t realise if it’s day or night, it was a claustrophobic place with the view of a wall, it wasn’t double bed, were 2 single mattress together, however the size of the room was good, I think they should say that if it’s the only room available, next day I asked for a change and they kindly did it but now the room in the first floor was tiny that you touch the bed with the door to open but with a big terrace. You can hear the hoover of the cleaning staff since 8am

Perfect location next to the underground, surrounded by plenty of eateries. There was even a TARDIS at the station - which we somehow missed on when reaching the location! The room was as the pictures described, with the aircon and fresh modern bathroom wonderful additions. Staff were friendly, polite and accommodating. Daily housekeeping and restocking took place.

The twin beds didn't have breaks, not that we could find/see, so the beds did move easily - but we viewed it quite humorously. The hotel is like a warren, so it was a little daunting finding our room at first as there were no maps we could see directing guests, but once found the route was easily memorable.

Oxford-Meredit hotel (recently renovated) has the right things: very very good position, cleanness, comfortable bed. Shower was eccellent. Client feels free. The manager was there at check-in: he really cares. The two guys at check in the 21st august in the afternoon were very nice and smiling: we had a good welcome. Nice stay, we'll come back!

I worked many years as receptionnist in Paris so just let me give and advice to the guy at check-out in the morning of the 23rd august: your attitude is not good. Even if you have a wrong day, you can't show it to the client. Probably you're not like this all the time, but that morning it wasn't nice, especially at departure: that moment is important! My quote is 10 anyway.

It's close to earl court station. Facilities are good Staff are good

The residents in Room 105 were extremely loud. It was basically a party taking place, it was ridiculous. We did ring the hotel staff to complain who did check this out, however the noise continued until possible 2:45am when the additional guest in room 105 left. This was annoying being the last night of the evening and being kept up with noise from inconsiderate guest. The staff though did listen to our complaint and took action so this is not there fault. Also the room was alittle small and it lack natural sunset being lower ground the room.

+ I had luck receiving a big room with a terrace and I was happy but as I heard from other travelers this all depends somewhat on luck as this was not visible during the booking process. +good breakfast (in different building) +good location All in all a good place to stay in case you get a nice room.

- There is no sign "Oxford Hotel". It all carries since long time the name Merit Hotel. Please change on booking.com or add a sign "Oxford hotel" on the building. - bed has roles resulting in constantly moving if you sit in bed leaning on the wall. -storage of suitcases is not so safe: All is piled up right-side in the lobby. Once you collect your suitcase twice there was the comment: just take what is yours - not controlling. This definitly can be improved.

A very charming hotel set in the row houses on Pennywern St in the Earls Court area of London. The location is fantastic, only steps to the Earls Court Tube station, and with many restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance. The bed was large and very comfortable and the bathroom, although a little small, was more than ample with a good sized shower. The buffet breakfast was very good and the hotel staff very friendly and welcoming. This hotel is a very good value.

The room is definitely small. There was barely enough room to walk on each side of the bed and very little room from the foot of the bed to the desk and closet area. It was difficult to find space to open a suitcase. Part of the reason for the tight areas, though, was the large king sized bed, which we were very grateful for! The pluses definitely outweigh the minuses and we would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in this part of London.

1. Perfect "all-around" location (connections to busses, metro, stores, pubs...) 2. Comfortable beds 3. Reasonably quiet 4. Good breakfast 5. Easy check-in/check out 6. Most important, they provide UK/EU electricity socket plugs. 7. Staff is friendly and helpful 8. They gave us early check out breakfast package. There was more than enough food for the two of us.

The following is more like, things to be improved: 1. Please put some towel hangers in the "garden" rooms. Otherwise, even once used towels end up on the floor. 2. Clean up the garden from the abundance of bushes and "unnecessary" plants. They attract bugs and other insects that prevent guests from the ability to open the door to refresh the air inside the room. 3. Garden rooms lack fresh air, but that can be simply solved by opening a window or the door. Just clean up the garden and that will be possible. Plant some grass or small flowers and problem is solved.
